The Dragon's Dogma 2 Thread
Things I don't like shouldn't exist.
I'm just stating the facts.
Question is are you going to gargle the truth or swallow?

That's a woman thought. Don't be like a woman.
It's actually the opposite.

I got a computer that can run this and it's quite fun if a little repetitive.

Old but ...
Real Shame we're probably not getting a DLC at that point though. BBI was what truly gave DD1's gameplay loop purpose.

I still can't believe how they fumbled the ball with DD2. It could have sold way more then four million if Capcom didn't cut funding and rush the development time in favor of Monster Hunter. DD has such a unique approach to gameplay that I honestly think it could have been one of the best ARPG's ever if Itusno could have been reeled back a little and the team be allowed to actually finish the game. Hell if they just remade the first game one to one with the gameplay QoL changes of the second it would have been fantastic. What could have been.

I guess the combination of modern AAA devs being hardcore bent that only online games are profitable + Itsuno leaving didn't help, but yeah shame DD2's existing core fundations for a truly amazing game went underused indeed ...
I am sort-of playing this. If anyone wants me to use their pawn, please send me details and I will do my best to use them.
Preferable, but not a must:
- set a quest, so I can understand what you want the pawn to get better at (and because I want *some sort* of payment back for using your pawn <3)
- right now, I am looking for Silver Crowns in my game. If you are charitable, you can set that as your reward. But, obviously, it's not a must.
- you can put your pawn details here, in public, but be wary that people can then find out your Steam account this way. Personally, I don't care to. I just want to help people.
- if the level of your pawn is low, try to upgrade their gear a bit. I'm rolling at level 50+.
Feel free to tell me what you want to know otherwise/ any criticism is welcome.

Ahahaha, that's gold. NGL I love this game, I just wish it was better and had something like Dark Arisen DLC for replayability.
I like sugar, and I like tea.
There's a pawn ID system that you can use for that purpose.The_Mask wrote: ↑ January 30th, 2026, 02:05I am sort-of playing this. If anyone wants me to use their pawn, please send me details and I will do my best to use them.

It seems like they put a lot of effort in only to tread the same ground as the first game for the most part (and add a bunch of nogs), a lot of wasted potential there.mercerxiv wrote: ↑ January 30th, 2026, 02:33Ahahaha, that's gold. Unfortunately yeah, it was more of a 2 steps forward, 2 steps back situation. They have improved a bunch of things, but at the same time have downgraded equally important bunch. As a result the game is managing to be lovely but at the same time mildly disappointing.ArcaneLurker wrote: ↑ January 31st, 2026, 22:23It seems like they put a lot of effort in only to tread the same ground as the first game for the most part (and add a bunch of nogs), a lot of wasted potential there.mercerxiv wrote: ↑ January 30th, 2026, 02:33Ahahaha, that's gold.
