Hello,
After I was so grateful to discover it, I glady installed Wabbajack unlocked 3.6, but it fails. So, maybe someone could help a frustrated guy.
When I launch it, it finds a certain number of mods on the home page, after a few seconds. In the lowest part, it prints v4.04 and v3.6 in the title bar.
When I click on the Browse list, it waits for a few minutes, and fails. I tried to reinstall v3.5, v3.4, v3.6 again, without the 360 antivirus, and with a windows firewall rule allowing Wabb, to no avail, same behaviour.
Clean Windows 10 x64 properly maintained. Lots of horsepower. Lots of dependencies installed, and obviously the 2 needed. No clue.

Magnum Opus v9.1.1

https://www.mediafire.com/folder/77cauc ... pus v9.1.1

Code: Select all

Β
Requirements:
Β
Fallout 4 v1.11.191. Creations are not used.
Crack for v1.10.163.

magnum-opus-main.zip - A local copy of the instructions. (Mediafire or https://github.com/LivelyDismay/magnum-opus)

I don't know why but Opus wants access to Mega, so when it asks, click Login Anonymously. Far as I can tell, nothing was downloaded from it.

If you are working with a CSF (clean Steam files) copy, be sure to place the following entry in the Windows Registry,
replacing the "installed path" value with your path:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Bethesda Softworks\Fallout4]
"installed path"="D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Fallout 4\"

If you prefer, you can grab F4.reg from my Mediafire, edit it with a text editor, inserting your game's path, save it, then
double click on it and select Yes when asked to add the info to the registry.

This is important for the post-install part later.

Instructions:

1. Follow the official instructions. https://github.com/LivelyDismay/magnum-opus/blob/main/README.md

2. While the mods are downloading, be sure to follow the post install instructions under BiRaitBec Texture Optimization
   https://github.com/LivelyDismay/magnum-opus/blob/main/postinstall.md#biraitbec-texture-optimization

The official instructions have you do this after install but there's no reason to wait.
I recommend keeping a backup of the post install files for future use, along with the mods.

3. After Magnum Opus has successfully installed, continue with the post-install instructions until you reach Launching the Game.

4. Do NOT launch the game yet and don't open MO2. If it's already open, close it.

5. Place a crack (I use Codex) in "D:\Magnum Opus v9.1.1\Stock Game\" and overwrite.

6. Now you are ready to launch Magnum Opus. Follow the post install instructions under Launching the Game.
   https://github.com/LivelyDismay/magnum-opus/blob/main/postinstall.md#launching-the-game

7. Be sure to read and follow the rest of the post install instructions as well.
There's a few steps you need to do inside the game when starting a new game.

All done!

If the game's lighting sucks for you, like the Vault being way too dark, in MO2 under Lighting, disable the Cinema Aces Lights Lighting mod.
The game still looks good and it's not so damned dark.

I just found out your profile picture is a pirate... **** that's poetic :pipe-hat:

still I gotta ask, why do you do this? What's the motivation behind if you don't even play them? You're like the modlist cracking Robin Hood or some ****
A lot of people for ages have been asking on cs.rin about how to install and crack various WJ modpacks and I had never messed with them, so I couldn't help beyond providing some files they asked for. Then Nexus was sold to a guy who admits he's in it for the money, so I'm thinking at some point this guy is going to try putting Nexus entirely behind a paywall or some other stupid **** and most people are just gonna be SOL.

Modpacks seemed like a good way to download a ton of mods for my own use, while helping all those people. And since I'm an old pirate who had to learn on my own starting with dialup BBSs back before the internet, it seemed like the thing to do, and everyone benefits.

About 5 minutes after installing WJ, I realized all that **** clicking **** ain't gonna work for me, and I'm not paying Nexus for premium, so I hit the search engines and it wasn't long before I found WJ Unlocked and got to work. In addition to cracking modpacks and teaching others, I've been spreading WJ Unlocked. I also found some userscripts for Nexus that auto download mods for both Nexus Collections and Wabbajack, but WJ Unlocked is definitely the superior method.

Now I have thousands of mods across a handful of games, and a whole lot of people are very happy campers. I've posted more than enough information now that anyone with more than a few brain cells should be able to figure out other modpacks for themselves, but I keep adding more. I also intend to revisit ones I've already done, and update instructions and such, as several modpacks have been updated since I started this project.

In the last few years, I've come to realize that I like helping people online, so I do get some measure of satisfaction. And even though it's probably entirely in my own mind, in a way I like feeling like I'm sticking it to the Man and his bootlickers when I defy their rules and teach others to do the same.

I guess Robin Hood is sort of appropriate, as I get nothing out of it except personal satisfaction.

It sounds like you might be using the Wabbajack launcher. If so, don't use it.

It's not needed, and it contains the auto update code that overwrites WJ Unlocked. There's another Wabbajack.exe in the \4.0.4.1 folder. Use that one.

You can still use the launcher if you really want, but you must block it's net access in your firewall, while letting out the one in \4.0.4.1.

Also, are you allowing Microsoft Edge net access? WJ, and therefore WJ Unlocked, uses Edge, so it must be allowed out. Not just the main executable, but msedgewebview2.exe.

It's buried here for the latest Edge version:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft\EdgeWebView\Application\142.0.3595.94\msedgewebview2.exe

The numbered folder in that path changes with each update, so your firewall rule would need to be changed to reflect it.

Most people aren't blocking it, but I bring it up just in case. I use TinyWall, which sits on top of the Windows Firewall, makes it much easier to change settings, and by default it blocks everything in and out, including Windows own files, so I have to manually let Edge and other Windows components through my firewall.

If it serves anything Lost Legacy (the one I'm playing) let's you play without any ENBs and also let's you disable many grass and graphic stuff mods so you can run it in anything.

It has a **** ton of mods, lots of content, lots of new things, etc. Just don't expect good performance in a very bad computer cause well yeah it's got lots of **** anyway. It has pretty much all the popular content mods like Bruma, that one Hammerfel mod, etc. I myself have modded plenty of stuff into it too to add more provinces like High Rock.
Now that peaks my interest, it's easy to turn off ENBs but letting you turn off graphical nonsense with little issue is very nice.
jdcp wrote: ↑ November 30th, 2025, 04:08
I do like busted graphics, have the power to run it too, so I use the richest of the ENBs. It might sound stupid but for all my life I've played games with very low settings, just now that I got a good pay I can afford an high end PC and play with ultra graphics and hey it's cool, passed all my childhood and teenage wanting to do this... now it's the time.
I thought I would have the same response to getting a stronger computer, as I've also spent most of my life on a potato playing games at eye restraining resolutions or ancient games for real men of culture like Ultima, Age of Empires, all the games one would be called a grognar over. Instead when I did upgrade I found myself sticking with the classics and being annoyed by meaningless visual only upgrades. If you couldn't tell, I loath remasters or-God forbid-remakes.
jdcp wrote: ↑ November 30th, 2025, 04:08
Then you get characters like Inigo, jesus ****, the Skyrim community is full of ******** people my god. No wonder games nowadays suck so much when THESE are the writers we got
They were popular for their time, I found them interesting from a technical and "amount of work" standpoint but didn't think much of them at the time. Now that I'm much older and developed a borderline crippling habit (for me, it has stopped me from enjoying many things mindlessly, which I would not give a **** about if it did not annoy my family and some friends) for criticism, I've come to realize that almost every single piece of writing that modders have made are complete and utter dogshit. Brevity is usually the soul of wit but I fail to much brevity, soul, and/or wit. Doesn't help that these writers tend to be man children who can't handle how the interest works and have meltdowns over the mildest criticism and banter.
Thank you for your detailed post, I might give it a go after I probably give up on finishing my own modlist.
jdcp wrote: ↑ November 30th, 2025, 08:07
It's funny, because the reason as to why the game runs so bad with these additions is not so much the demanding aspects of them but rather the fact that they're simply NOT suppposed to be ran in Skyrim's engine... This is one of those moments in life where explaining something only makes it more confusing.
Unless a game is specifically built to be as moddable as possible, no fan made content for it is supposed to run on it. But it does.

Personally remasters are okayish I guess as long as they present a real advantage over the original (like fixing any major errors that prevented enjoying the original, usually in modern systems), remakes are very dependant on both the original and what work was done to "enhance" it. Some remakes are good, have a look at 80s and early 90s games that got a remake, but largely unnecesary I feel.

What's the need for a remake when the original already works? Why make everything from 0 when you can just upgrade the original code? In case they don't have it like say Konami with Silent Hill 2 (Don't ask, stupid **** XD) it's understandable, but some games didn't need a remake (Shadow of the Colossus, Ocarina of time, plenty more).

I too stick by the classics, not so much for what they represent to me (like, I wasn't even born when some of my favorite games came out lol), but simply because my vision of a game is more akin to the old games than what's new. Still, I don't completely neglect the existence of new games, just their ethos, it's not my ****. Which is why I struggle a bit to enjoy Skyrim myself.

yes, it's modularility is one of the greatest thing this modlist has, I myself have added my own content and ENBs just for the sake of pushing boundaries, even removed a couple of things I didn't like (though from personal experience, don't get too creative or you'll be reinstalling)

Through the power of thrusting till it fits, aka Script Extender. It never ceases to surprise me what a few fans can do.

Bethesda finally doing something about the mod limit with the light plugin format was certainly a godsend, which is another advantage that can add to the value of a remaster (support). That said, sadly for the older games were still stuck with merging, except for Morrowind where thankfully fans tinkered around with the engine so hard they eventually managed to increase it beyond what's even possible in any other Bethesda game. Still, Morrowind's situation is another case of "shouldn't work, but it somehow does" where the engine is dying in the inside while giving the illusion that it's actually working.

Sadly very very few games support extensive modding, and in most cases, limitations make themselves apparent once one pushes it far enough. Right now the biggest limitation some of my fav games have (Morrowind, CIV4, Battlefield 2) in regards to modding are it's 32bit architecture which severely cripples the performance and therefore scope of any projects. Another advantage for Remasters is the removal of this limitation (updating obsolete technology).

I feel you, I am always pleasantly surprised to see how professional the technical aspects of certain mods, particularly the most prestigious, reaches high levels of quality (see Fallout the Frontier)

Yet quickly realize that, indeed intelligence comes in various forms, and being capable of doing excellent coding has little to no relation to writing (see again, Fallout The god **** Frontier)

Same, I can forgive it to a certain extent but something I don't tolerate is the whole permission and "you can't touch my mod for ANYTHING" philosophy. You're making a mod ***** what the ****? You're supposed to be in my side! To let me MOD IT! NOT GO AGAINST ME!!! I wonder how these people would feel if Bethesda told them the same about their mods.

See Arthmoor, Unnoficial Patch "Author" (damned scoundrel only claims for it, he really isn't) for a good example of this, I can forgive being an underdeveloped 40 year old **** with the mind of a child, but I can't forgive stupidity and lack of humility. Big NO NO for me.

Phew, that was a long writing, glad to be of help man :pipe-hat: . Making your own modlist is very fun but not for everyone, I'm doing mine in Morrowind (for like the 10th time already) and it's taking a big toll on me, been taking breaks every few weeks to not overburn my *** out of so many testing.

Uranium Fever v1.5.0.4

Code: Select all

Requirements:

Fallout 3 GOTY v1.7.0.3 GOG
Fallout New Vegas Ultimate Edition v1.4.0.525 GOG
Tale of Two Wastelands v3.4 (Tale of Two Wastelands 3.4-133-3.4.0-2025.05.17-[mod.pub].7z) (https://mod.pub/ttw/133/files)
YUPTTW v13.5 (YUPTTW 13.5-133-13.5.0-2025.11.09-[mod.pub].7z) (also at https://mod.pub/ttw/133/files)
Wabbajack Unlocked (Mediafire or https://rpghq.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=3479-wabbajack-unlocked-3-6-modding-tools)
UraniumFever_@@_UraniumFever.wabbajack (Mediafire)
NVR 4.3.1.7z (Mediafire or Discord. Place it in \Uranium Fever v1.5.0.4\downloads before you start WJ)
[Guru3D.com]-RTSS.zip (Mediafire. I'm told the download link is broken, so I've uploaded the file. Put in your UF downloads folder.)

These instructions are on Mediafire in a text file with better formatting than this post, making it easier to read.

https://www.mediafire.com/folder/1343xm9pf6ytn/Uranium+Fever+v1.5.0.4

At least 200 gigs free space. Probably more, I have no idea how much is used during install, but afterward,
UF takes up about 200 gigs, with the downloads folder, which you can backup after install.
Once install is complete and the downloads folder is removed, it should take up 111 gigs.

I highly recommend using the GOG versions, so there's no crack to deal with. TTW does supports GOG, Steam, and Epic.
If you choose to use Steam or Epic versions, you will need the New Vegas crack for that platform, but you won't be able to patch it for 4gb ram.
There is no need for a crack for Fallout 3, no matter which platform you use.
Instructions should be roughly the same for all of them.

Also available on Mediafire just in case they get taken down:

Uranium-Fever-main.zip - This is a clone of the Github page. (https://github.com/Nickchapman3773/Uranium-Fever)
I recommend downloading it, as it gives you a local copy of the official install instructions and more.
A pdf would be nice, but it will have to do since https://uraniumfever.net has been taken down and archive.org only captured the title page.

OPTIONAL:
It is difficult to read the files because they are in markdown language (*.md), which is what Github uses.
Your browser can read them but not properly. To make them display properly with pictures just like Github,
I installed an extension from here https://markdownreader.github.io/ for Chrome, Edge, and Firefox. I left the settings at defaults.
Extract the .zip somewhere. It's already in it's own folder.
Drag/drop the entire folder on a new browser tab. You can navigate the entire package without having to load each *.md file
	manually, using your back/forward buttons.
The file you want to view most is \Uranium-Fever-main/docs/main/setup.md

Uranium Fever - Load Order Library.zip - from (https://loadorderlibrary.com/lists/uranium-fever)
It's labeled v1.5.0.2 but it's the most recent available. Most people have no use for this file.
It's simply a list of filenames.

Instructions:

1. Make the following folders in the root of your SSD or HD. My paths shown.
	D:\Uranium Fever v1.5.0.4
	D:\Uranium Fever v1.5.0.4\downloads
D:\Uranium Fever v1.5.0.4\[NoDelete] Stock New Vegas
	D:\Uranium Fever v1.5.0.4\mods
D:\Uranium Fever v1.5.0.4\mods\[NoDelete] [INF] [DB] - Tale of Two Wastelands (TTW)
D:\Uranium Fever v1.5.0.4\mods\[NoDelete] [INF] [DB] - YUPTTW Hotfix

2. Install Fallout 3 and New Vegas. It doesn't matter where as long as it's not inside the UF folder.
   I installed to "D:\Games\Fallout 3" and "D:\Games\Fallout New Vegas".

3. Run the launcher for each game, and let it set the graphics settings. There is no need to customize those settings, but you can if you want.
Do not run the games, only the launchers.

4. Copy the entire contents of "D:\Games\Fallout New Vegas" to "D:\Uranium Fever v1.5.0.4\[NoDelete] Stock New Vegas"

5. Extract the contents of "YUPTTW 13.5-133-13.5.0-2025.11.09-[mod.pub].7z" to "D:\Uranium Fever v1.5.0.4\mods\[NoDelete] [INF] [DB] - YUPTTW Hotfix"

6. Extract TTW to it's own folder outside of your UF folder, doesn't matter where.

7. Go into your new TTW folder, and run as administrator "TTW Install.exe"
A window will open with 3 boxes. You can either use the green Browse buttons, or copy/paste your paths.

8. In the Fallout 3 box, browse to your Fallout 3 install. "D:\Games\Fallout 3"

9. In the Fallout New Vegas box, browse to "D:\Uranium Fever v1.5.0.4\[NoDelete] Stock New Vegas"

10. In the Tale of Two Wastelands box, browse to "D:\Uranium Fever v1.5.0.4\mods\[NoDelete] [INF] [DB] - Tale of Two Wastelands (TTW)"

11. Click the Install button and go take a nap or something. This is going to take a long time.

12. When TTW is finished installing, open WJ Unlocked, let everything load, then select Fallout New Vegas.
I've learned if you rush things with WJ, it can sometimes get a bit weird, so let everything load.

13. Click the "Install from Disk" button in the upper right, and navigate to UraniumFever_@@_UraniumFever.wabbajack.
It doesn't matter where you placed it.

14. In the "Install Location" box, set it to "D:\Uranium Fever v1.5.0.4"

15. In the "Game Folder" box, set it to "D:\Uranium Fever v1.5.0.4\[NoDelete] Stock New Vegas"

16. In the "Fallout 3" box, set it to "D:\Games\Fallout 3"

17. The "Downloads Location" box should autofill to "D:\Uranium Fever v1.5.0.4\downloads"

18. Make sure the "Ignore Hash Mismatches" box remains unchecked.

19. If you already have the mods from a previous version, copy them into "D:\Uranium Fever v1.5.0.4\downloads"
Some of them probably won't be used, but most of them will be, which will save you time.

20. Click the Install button in the lower right, and go do something else. Be sure to check on it once in a while to make sure it's still working.
WJ sometimes stops functioning, Nexus stops sending files, downloads fail, or they crawl at dialup speed.
If these things happen, cancel and retry. Maybe take a break before clicking retry. Sometimes downloading too much from Nexus causes it to bog down.

21. Once install has completed successfully, click the button at the bottom to create a desktop shortcut, then close WJ Unlocked.
This puts a shortcut to Mod Organizer 2 on your desktop, pointed at "D:\Uranium Fever v1.5.0.4\ModOrganizer.exe".

22. Navigate to "D:\Uranium Fever v1.5.0.4\[NoDelete] Stock New Vegas" and run "Patcher - GOG & Steam.exe".

23. From here, let's switch over to \Uranium-Fever-main/docs/main/setup.md, under Launching Mod Organizer 2 (MO2).
There's a lot to cover, my hands are killing me, and it's easier than trying to rewrite so much information.
	Plus there's pictures!

24. Keep going until you reach the section titled "Installing Tale of Two Wastelands (TTW)"
Since we did the next few steps ahead of time, skip down to "Disabling Base Address Randomization"

25. UF runs at this point, but it's not the smoothest. Proceed to follow the official instructions from "Disabling Base Address Randomization"
down to, and including "Launching the Game" Note: Controller users see next step before launching the game.

26. If you insist on using a controller, go to "Uranium-Fever-main\docs\main\controller.md"
    I can't help you with this part. I'm a kb/m guy.

All done!
*Edit 12 Dec 2026: I've added a pack of mods from the Wabbajack CDN to my UF files on Mediafire. That should be the last of the missing files.

Wasteland Reborn v2.2.3
https://www.mediafire.com/folder/aa1lzl ... orn v2.2.3

Code: Select all

Requirements:

Fallout 4 GOTY v1.10.984 Steam
WastelandReborn_@@_wasteland_reborn.wabbajack - Mediafire
v1.10.163 Crack - Mediafire
Atlas Summit Cell and Rad Fix-95625-1-1-1754926036.zip - Nexus or Mediafire. Needed to fix a blocked tunnel.

GameData.json - Mediafire. This one is optional, as I will show you what to remove.

Wasteland-Reborn-main.zip - Mediafire or https://github.com/Camora0/Wasteland-Reborn
You can view the same markdown files on Github, but you really should download a copy for future reference.
Optional, but highly recommended. This contains official instructions in markdown format and I may refer to it.

Diamond City Radio Extended - Mediafire. It's been removed from Nexus since I updated this guide.

OPTIONAL but needed to read markdown files:
It is difficult to read the files because they are in markdown language (*.md), which is what Github uses.

Your browser can read them but not properly. To make them display properly with pictures just like Github,
I installed an extension from here https://markdownreader.github.io/ for Chrome, Edge, and Firefox. I left the settings at defaults.

Extract the .zip somewhere. It's already in it's own folder.

Drag/drop the entire folder on a new browser tab. You can navigate the entire package without having to load each *.md file
	manually, using your back/forward buttons.

The file you want to view is \Wasteland-Reborn-main\README.md

Wolverines Note: I get nothing from promoting this extension, nor am I affiliated in any way.
It's simply a good tool that's easy to use.

Instructions:

As always, my paths are used. Substitute your own, or use the same names to make it easier to follow.
If you change it after install, Wasteland Reborn will not work. This holds true for all modpacks.

1. Make a folder in the root of your drive. Let's call it "D:\Wasteland Reborn v2.2.3".

2. If you already have some or all of the mods, make a folder inside your WR folder as shown below, and place your mods inside that.
   "D:\Wasteland Reborn v2.2.3\downloads"

3. In WJ Unlocked, select Fallout 4 from the dropdown box, and wait for the pictures to load.

4. Click the "Install from Disk" button in the upper right, and select WastelandReborn_@@_wasteland_reborn.wabbajack.

5. In the "Install Location" box, point it to where you will be installing Wasteland Reborn. "D:\Wasteland Reborn v2.2.3"

6. In "Game Folder" box, point it to your Fallout 4 folder. "D:\Games\Fallout 4"

7. You can ignore the Fallout 76 box. It is not used.

8. The "Downloads Location" box should be auto populated, based on your "Install Location" choice.
   "D:\Wasteland Reborn v2.2.3\downloads"

9. Leave the "Ignore Hash Mismatches" checkbox empty.

10. Click the Install button.

11. Go do something else. This part takes a lot of time, especially if you don't already have the mods.
Just be sure to check on it periodically in case it stops or bogs down. Restarting WJ usually fixes it.

12. When it's done installing successfully, you will know. Click the button to place a shortcut on your desktop, then close WJ Unlocked.

13. Now that WR is finished installing, let's crack it. Place your crack in the following location and overwrite:
    "D:\Wasteland Reborn 2.2.3\Stock Game"

The first time I installed WR, it made a second copy of the game at the location shown below but this time it isn't there.
I have no idea why. If it's there for you, place your crack there and overwrite:
	"D:\Wasteland Reborn 2.2.3\plugins\data\RootBuilder\DWasteland_Reborn_2_2_3Stock_Game\1_10_163_0\Backup"

14. The first time I installed WR, it also had a GameData.json file at the following location. If it's there for you, it needs to be edited.
    "D:\Wasteland Reborn 2.2.3\plugins\data\RootBuilder\DWasteland_Reborn_2_2_3Stock_Game\1_10_163_0\GameData.json"

15. If GameData.json exists on your install, remove the following lines:
    "fallout4.exe": {"Relative": "Fallout4.exe", "Hash": "89819bf36c2c1bbdb4b1bead574a9a11", "Modified": 1751695512.2920058, "Size": 65503104}
    "steam_api64.dll": {"Relative": "steam_api64.dll", "Hash": "c23fae46b9a6475a665cbe20949fd632", "Modified": 1751695503.303541, "Size": 206760}

16. Alternatively, you could also download my already edited GameData.json, and overwrite the original.

17. If you have the space to store the mods somewhere safe, do so now. Once the mods are backed up, you can delete the downloads folder to free up some space.

17. Follow the official instructions from here: "/Wasteland Reborn 2.2.3/Wasteland-Reborn-main/README.md#modifying-inis"
You can find BethINI Pie here: "D:\Wasteland Reborn v2.2.3\Tools\Bethini Pie\Bethini.exe"

18. Now you can run Wasteland Reborn to make sure it runs without Steam.

19. Assuming it runs without Steam, exit the game back to the desktop, and install the mod below, which I have included on Mediafire.
It fixes a blocked tunnel issue. Atlas Summit Cell and Rad Fix-95625-1-1-1754926036.zip
I will not teach you how to add a mod to MO2 as that is not the scope of this tutorial.

20. Now you are ready to play. In MO2, click the Run button.
As usual, MO2 will complain about Steam not running.
In the dropdown box at the bottom, select "Remember my choice", then click the middle button to continue without Steam.

21. Modpacks can take a long time to reach the main menu during first launch, just let it work.

22. Enjoy!

Hi. Thanks for the program and all the work put into it.

I'm having the same issue as Yoshishop, with the same key error, and I've tried deleting all the folders besides the downloads' folder, but I'm not having any luck fixing it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
β–Ί Show Spoiler
Hey, I got the exact same "STK4THfMHzw=" key error recently when trying to install NGVO, but I managed to fix it. Not sure if this will work for you but I figured I might as well post what I did here just in case.

In the log it spit out, Wabbajack was complaining about 4 files being missing: SkyrimSE.exe, steam_api64.dll, Data_ccbgssse037-curios.bsa, and Data_ccbgssse037-curios.esl.
The first two were just because I had a Codex crack already applied to the game, so all I had to do was replace the .exe and .dll with the clean Steam files (you can reapply the crack once the install is finished). For the last two, some lists that require all the CC content, like NGVO, apparently don't like certain versions of Rare Curios. In the Skyrim thread on CS RIN, there's a user there with a Mediafire link in his signature that contains all the different versions of Rare Curios (he also has clean Steam files for Skyrim if you need them). The "v1.6.640 - v1.6.1170 and up" version is the one that ended up working for me. Wabbajack installed NGVO just fine after that.

Hopefully this helps you or whoever else might be lurking here with the same issue. This is an insanely based tool and it feels great not having to give Nexus a single penny.
how do you start nvgo with a pirated skyrim? if i start nvgo it launches steam and that obviously doesn't work.

Life in the Ruins v8.0
https://www.mediafire.com/folder/8a8ko9 ... Ruins v8.0

Code: Select all

These instructions are on Mediafire with better formatting than this post.

Requirements:

Fallout 4 GOTY v1.11.169
Crack for v1.10.163
Creation Club Armor and Weapon Paint Jobs - Optional. I don't recommend it, as the mod that applies them to the factions doesn't work worth a ****,
which is odd considering the author is the same person who made Life in the Ruins.
Using it will screw up weapon and armor names for these factions and more.

LunarFalloutPlus-main.zip - Github (https://github.com/WhiskyTangoFawks/LunarFalloutPlus or Mediafire) Finally found some instructions.

Instructions:

1. Make the following folders:
   D:\Life in the Ruins v8.0
   D:\Life in the Ruins v8.0\downloads
D:\Life in the Ruins v8.0\mods Optional unless you are making the folder below.
D:\Life in the Ruins v8.0\mods\[NODELETE] CreationClub Paint Jobs This one is optional.

2. Optional - Place your paint job files in "D:\Life in the Ruins v8.0\mods\[NODELETE] CreationClub Paint Jobs"
Weapon and Armor Paint Jobs only. Various factions will use their own colors.

3. Install Location - Point it to "D:\Life in the Ruins v8.0"

4. Game Folder - Point it at your Fallout 4 installation folder.

5. Ignore the Fallout 76 box. It's not used.

6. Downloads Location - It should be auto populated to "D:\Life in the Ruins v8.0\downloads"

7. Click Install.

8. When finished installing, click the Create Desktop Icon button then close WJ Unlocked.

9. Place the crack here: "D:\Life in the Ruins v.8.0\Stock Game Folder" and overwrite.

10. Launch MO2 via your new shortcut.

11. Make your choices when it asks about logging into Nexus and associating with .nxm links.

12. In the dropdown box in the upper right, next to the Run button, select Play Life In The Ruins.

13. Click the Run button.

14. Have fun!

Following my instructions will produce a working game, but I can't speak to anything beyond that. I played it for less than an hour.
*Edit: Finally found some instructions as shown above. Be sure to follow were I may have left something out, especially any post install stuff.

When working with modpacks, there are some rules to follow:

1. You don't crack the game ahead of time.
2. You don't downgrade the game yourself. Wabbajack will do it for you if it's required.
3. You don't install MO2 or a script extender. This is also done for you.

As for running NVGO without Steam, it's a simple matter of placing a crack in the right folder(s), and if needed, editing the right file(s).

I am not planning on doing a tutorial on NVGO. I'm not saying I won't, it's just not on my to-do list, but you can read my other tutorial posts in this very thread, or here https://cs.rin.ru/forum/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=151409.
There's more than enough info posted in both places for you to figure it out yourself.

Star Wars Genesis v8.5.0
https://www.mediafire.com/folder/m22vdh ... sis v8.5.0

Code: Select all

Requirements:
Β
Starfield v1.15.222 with Shattered Space in English - I'm using the ElAmigos repack.
Β
StarWarsGenesisSetup.exe - https://genesismodlist.com/install/ Scroll down to the Installation section.
Β  Β  Β  Β  Β  Β  Β  Β  Β  Β  Β  Β  Β  Β There is a Mega link. Follow the instructions to download it. This is the official installer.
Β  Β  Β  Β  Β  Β  Β  Β  Β  Β  Β  Β  Β  Β It contains the .wabbajack file and the Wabbajack launcher. You can also find this file on Mediafire.
Β  Β  Β  Β  Β  Β  Β  Β  Β  Β  Β  Β  Β  Β I have appended the version to the filename. (StarWarsGenesisSetup850.exe)
Β
Official Instructions - Β https://genesismodlist.com/install/ These will be mostly followed.
Β
You will find a "Github Files" folder on Mediafire. I uploaded these just in case they get removed from Github, or for whatever reason, they just won't download.
You don't need to download them otherwise.
Β
Β
Instructions:
Β
As usual, my paths are shown. Substitute your own.
Β
1. Install Starfield and run it one time until you get to the main menu, then close it. Genesis will install just fine on a
Β  Β cracked game, so you don't need legit files. However, if you are using a legit game and want to crack it, you can do
Β  Β that now. Simply place your crack in "D:\Games\Starfield".
Β
2. Make the following folder in the root of your drive.
Β  Β "D:\Star Wars Genesis v8.5.0"
Β
3. Run StarWarsGenesisSetup.exe and install it to your new folder. Uncheck the "Launch Wabbajack" box, and close the installer.
Β
4. Delete "D:\Star Wars Genesis v8.5.0\Wabbajack"
Β
5. If you have the mods from a previous version, place them in "D:\Star Wars Genesis v8.5.0\Game\downloads".
Β
6. Open Wabbajack Unlocked, let everything load, then click the Browse Lists button.
Β
7. Let everything load again, then click "Install from Disk" in the upper right, and
Β  Β navigate to "D:\Star Wars Genesis v8.5.0\Compiler\Star Wars Genesis.wabbajack"
Β  Β
8. Populate the boxes as shown:
Β  Β Installation Location = "D:\Star Wars Genesis v8.5.0\Game"
Β  Β Game Folder = "D:\Games\Starfield" (This is where you installed Starfield.)
Β  Β Downloads Location = "D:\Star Wars Genesis v8.5.0\Game\downloads" (This one should be filled automatically. If not, navigate to it.)
Β
9. Make sure the "Ignore Hash Mismatches" box remains unchecked and click Install.
Β  Β Then go do something else, being sure to check on WJ Unlocked from time to time to make sure it's still working.
Β
10. Now that install has finished, click the button to place a shortcut on your desktop, then close WJ Unlocked.
Β  Β  I suggest backing up the mods now, but this is purely optional.
Β
11. Don't use your new shortcut just yet. In the official instructions, scroll down to Step 9,
Β  Β  just above the Post-Install Steps banner, and do what it says.
Β
12. In your file manager, navigate to "D:\Games\Starfield\sfse_loader.exe", right click and select Properties.
Β  Β  Click the Compatibility tab and check the box to "Run this program as an administrator". Click Apply and OK.
Β
13. Navigate to "D:\Star Wars Genesis v8.5.0\ModOrganizer.exe", right click and select Properties.
Β  Β  Click the Compatibility tab and check the box to "Run this program as an administrator". Click Apply and OK.
Β  Β  The official instructions sadly leave out these necessary steps.
Β
14. Continue following the Post-Install Steps in the official instructions.
Β
15. When MO2 asks you to associate nmx links with MO2, this is purely optional.
Β  Β  As I normally use Vortex when I'm not messing with modpacks, I don't want this association to change, so I chose No.
Β  Β  I also don't need MO2 to log into my Nexus account, but again, this is optional.
Β
16. Follow the official instructions to run SFSE.
Β
17. As usual, MO2 will complain about Steam not running. In the dropdown box at the bottom, select "Remember my choice",
Β  Β  then click the middle button to "Continue without starting Steam".
Β
18. As usual with modpacks, the first run can take a little time, so be patient. Genesis isn't quite as slow as many others.
Β
19. Continue following the official instructions.
Β
20. Have fun!

Wow Wolve this looks really interesting, thanks for the new instructions!

Have you tried this modpack out? I've never played Starfield, don't look forward to it either, but... I might give it a pass because of this :dice:

Morrowind also had an Star Wars total conversion and I enjoyed it, very interested in hearing your thoughts on the Starfield one if you have them.

If you really like Star Wars and/or really hate Starfield's quests, atrocious writing, and mediocre at best world (galaxy?) building but can tolerate everything else that game offers, it probably won't be a bad experience. However, if you dislike Starfield because the vast majority of Starfield and what it offers is a disaster from start to finish...well it seems to offer overhauls to many of the game's mechanics to hopefully bring it up to a decent standard at least. From my experience from modding Bethesda games, I have to enjoy a good part of the base game to really feel modding is worth the time. No matter how much you mod a Bethesda game it'll remind you that it is in fact...a Bethesda game, so it's probably only worth installing Genesis if you somewhat enjoyed Starfield. If you never played Starfield, you could always pirate it and install the modlist and never touch vanilla Starfield.
Just a reminder, modders have largely given up on modding Starfield because of how obtuse making mods for it is at all and because of how terrible it is, so truly consider this before wasting your bandwidth.
Send me writing ideas, need the practice. :wizard:

I have not played Star Wars Genesis. I hope to get around to it eventually. The only modpack I've played more than a few hours was Wasteland Reborn. I put weeks into that one, then I got bored with it and all the seemingly broken quests. Usually, when I do these modpack tutorials, I'm not concerned with playing them beyond making sure they work without Steam. Writing the tutorial, gathering and uploading files, etc takes priority.

ah I was well aware of this and expected it, no worries my friend.

Wasteland Reborn? The Fallout 4 one? Wanted to ask about this but left it for now... Would you recommend to try one of these modpacks for Fallout 4 if I didn't enjoy the original game at all when it came out? Like, only the first two big DLC, no mods, all I played was vanilla and didn't like it at all, yet do you think it'll be worth it to give it another chance if it was with a modpack? In case you say so, which one?

If yes can already expect the same answer, but in case you got anything else to say about Fallout 4 modpacks, I'm interested.

Ah Wolve, I'm always thankful to you, just now did I have to go to your csrin profile for the mediafire link to download some stuff! :pipe-hat: much thanks as always.

I'd say so but more in general, modding a bad game can make it very fun for a shortwhile (perhaps this is what @Wolverines felt with Fallout 4? idk) but the novelty fades off.

One could say, you can't fix something rotten to the core. But I can't be so sure, I still hold some little gripes with Skyrim, but I've enjoyed some of it with this pack.

Buggy as it is, I've managed to findd some comfort. Maybe it has to do with me installing a ridiculous amount of new mods, maybe it is that good... Can't be sure, but it's possible mods can save a bad game.

All that said, thanks for the words, I might try it one day considering how much space this thing takes.

Wasteland Reborn is nothing special. It's not a total conversion, so it's still just Fallout 4 with a bunch of new content added. America Rising 2 is featured prominently, along with several of Dak's weapons.

For me, at some point, many quests seemed to be broken, as there were no longer quest markers for several quests, and I couldn't find a way to advance them, so I just quit playing it.

I couldn't recommend any particular modpack as I haven't played others much. I can tell you most of them use various lighting mods, and usually shadows are so damned dark, not even a torch or flashlight will penetrate the darkness, which makes the game unplayable. Such mods are easy enough to disable, which restores the game's original lighting, while maintaining the rest of the eye candy. The trick is figuring out which are the offending mods. Some of the modpack makers won't tell you anything other than "adjust your monitor." I don't think so, pal.

Some of the F4 modpacks also make very heavy use of Vivid Weathers or True Storms. Both are great mods when they aren't overused. Unfortunately, the default settings are often such that it's constant foul weather, further obscuring the game. One storm will end and seconds later, another starts. It's ridiculous. Again, disabling such mods greatly improves the game. Those weather mods can get stuck too, so you might end up with one storm that lasts several in-game days. To be fair, that could be an engine bug, as I've had rain or fog for several in-game days, even without those mods.

How anyone can play a game where visibility is constantly obscured is beyond me.

Then there's modpacks that remove the compass and quest markers, like Gate to Sovngarde. I didn't like that **** in Morrowind, and I never will like it. Wandering aimlessly without them both is not my idea of fun. I will ignore the compass and quest markers if I choose to, but I don't want them disabled.

When I played GtS, I started in the wilderness of the Beyond Bruma mod, and spent 2 hours going in circles, and getting absolutely nowhere. I kept ending up at the same small pond over and over.
Thankfully the mods responsible for removal of the compass and quest markers were easy enough to find and disable, but at that point, I didn't want to keep playing it.

From what I've seen of various modpacks so far, I'd rather play a game with only the mods I choose to use. With that said, I would like to eventually play some of these modpacks in earnest. You never know when you might find gold.

Modpacks can breath new life into an old game, but it's also someone else's idea of a great game, which probably won't be your idea of a great game.

Indeed. I was at the theater for A New Hope when I was 4 years old. I was raised on it.

It does this whenever I forget to apply a crack before launching a game

Nordic Souls v3.0.1

https://www.mediafire.com/folder/ofv3y3 ... uls v3.0.1

Code: Select all

Requirements:
Β
SkyrimAE v1.6.1170 (Clean Steam files, not pre-cracked. Mediafire.)
Creation Club mods. Yes all of them. (Mediafire)
Rare Curios Bethesda version. (My 3-pack on Mediafire)
Crack for v1.6.1170. (Mediafire)
Β
Synthesis.zip - Github or Mediafire. https://github.com/Mutagen-Modding/Synthesis/releases/download/0.35.0/Synthesis.zip
Β  Β This one almost always fails to download via WJ.
Β
nordic-souls-main.zip - Github (https://github.com/Geborgen/nordic-souls) OR Mediafire.
Β  Β This gives you a local copy of the instructions in markdown format. I won't cover how to view these again.
Β  Β Refer to some of my other tutorials for that.
Β
The *.wabbajack file:
Geborgen_@@_nordic-souls.wabbajack (via WJ Unlocked)
Github - https://github.com/Geborgen/nordic-souls/releases/tag/v3.0.1
Nexus - https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/77497
Β
Β
Β
As always, my paths are shown, substitute your own.
I'll be using my legit Skyrim as it's already set up with all the CC mods.
Β
I am also assuming you have prepared your computer according to the official instructions here:
https://github.com/Geborgen/nordic-souls/blob/main/README.md#installation
Β
Β
Β
Instructions:
Β
1. Make the folders shown below:
Β  Β "D:\Nordic Souls v3.0.1"
Β  Β "D:\Nordic Souls v3.0.1\downloads"
Β
2. If you already have the mods from a previous version, place them in "D:\Nordic Souls v3.0.1\downloads".
Β  Β Synthesis.zip also goes in this folder.
Β
3. Open WJ Unlocked, let it all load, and select Skyrim.
Β
4. Let it all load again, and select Nordic Souls OR use the "Install from disk" button if you got your *.wabbajack file
Β  Β from anywhere other than via WJ Unlocked. Navigate to the file and select it.
Β
5. Populate the boxes as shown below:
Β  Β Install Location = "D:\Nordic Souls v3.0.1"
Β  Β Game Folder = "D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition"
Β  Β Downloads Location = "D:\Nordic Souls v3.0.1\downloads" (as always, this one should auto populate based on Install Location)
Β
6. Make sure the "Ignore Hash Mismatches" checkbox remains unchecked.
Β
7. Click Install and go do something else.
Β
8. When install is finished, click the "Create Desktop Shortcut" button then close WJ Unlocked.
Β  Β This places a shortcut on your desktop to the copy of MO2 in the Nordic Souls folder.
Β
9. Now is a good time to back up the "D:\Nordic Souls v3.0.1\downloads" folder for future use. This is where the mods are located.
Β
10. Follow any post install steps in the official instructions. There isn't much to do, but pay attention to the Performance Tweaks part.
Β Β  Β https://github.com/Geborgen/nordic-souls/blob/main/README.md#post-installation
Β Β  Β https://github.com/Geborgen/nordic-souls/blob/main/README.md#performance-tweaks
Β
11. OPTIONAL: Open "D:\Nordic Souls v3.0.1\Game Root" and backup the files your crack will be replacing.
Β Β  Β This is just good practice when dealing with cracked software.
Β
12. Place your crack in the same folder and overwrite.
Β
13. Run MO2 from your desktop shortcut. MO2 will try to connect to Nexus and login. I chose not to let it do so.
Β
14. In MO2, in the Profile dropdown, select either ENB or Community Shaders. I chose Community Shaders. Click the Run button on the right.
Β Β  Β MO2 will complain about Steam not running. In the dropdown at the bottom, select "Remember my choice", and click the middle button.
Β
15. As usual, a modpack's first run takes time. Eventually it will begin compiling shaders. Be patient.
Β
16. When it's finished, the main menu will come up. Have fun!

Hey, installed modpack Anvil, everything went nice until i wanted to start game, it throws me back at steam, and say no license found, anyone know the problem?
You forgot to apply a crack. I'm not familiar with that modpack. If there is more than one copy of the game within the modpack folder, you will have to crack all of them, and probably edit a GameData.json file. That file might have another name, but it would still be a .json file.

I've posted more than enough info here and on cs.rin.ru that anyone who has read my tutorials should be able to crack any modpack with ease.

The Nexus page for Uranium Fever has been taken down, making the mods unattainable. I have all the mods, but I have no idea which ones were on that page. If anyone can help me figure that out, I can upload the files.

Was it hidden by the authors or removed by Nexus jannies? I thought hidden mods were still attainable via the direct download links

Removed by the authors as UF has been abandoned in favor of Nuclear Sunset. Their project lead jumped ship, so they cut off UF entirely.
I've replaced the original file full of mods, with the proper mods. They are currently uploading. I had a little help with determining the proper files, as listed below.
This should be all that was needed to keep UF alive.

I'm currently uploading a pack of what I think are the proper mods, but I can't be sure without a full WJ log to look at with each file failed to download.

I only found out because one person came on Discord throwing a fit about files not being downloadable, but I haven't heard back from him. He showed a partial log file though, so that helps a bit.
I hate when these mod author ******* can’t just leave their lists up and abandon it, thinking they’re entitled to just erase it from the internet forever. Another display of Parlor mindset

I should probably update the main post with info like this. Maybe a table with hyperlinks to your guides, HQ recommended or not (maybe linking to reviews), and a place to download abandoned lists and their dependencies

What I need is one specific user log from the person who let me know files had been removed from Nexus. All I got from him during his temper tantrum was a screenshot of a partial log file, and he hasn't responded back yet.

I uploaded the files I listed in a previous post based on that screenshot. Since archive.org did not capture the Files tab of the UF Nexus page, I can't look there to see what files were listed.

I have all the mods as well, so getting them is not a problem. It's getting this particular person to respond without throwing a fit so I can make sure to provide those missing files that's the problem.

I'll just have to wait until someone with a cooler head tries to install UF and hits the same problem, then comes to me with their log files.

best xmas gift ever.. i can just let it go. i fn love you! i had the "real wabbajack" running at first and got tired of having to manually click through all that myself or scroll because i was using an "auto clicker" but most mods break that function now days, and landscape mode although i tried like a ... just wouldnt work at all with the auto clicker. (i guess im lazy) thank you, in case that wasnt clear! so far, im waiting for (well, im at the limit where wabbajack stops you until it catches up) 41/700.

Using Fallout 4 (from FGRP) added upto version 1.10.984 with RUNE's crack allowed me to play *side note* you gotta run MO2 in admin mode, and add the crack to MO2 dir or it'll continue to remove the crack on its own for some reason*. not sure if ive ever messed with a cracked game so long. -i also added the manifest files for fallout 4, creation content/etc to my steam library. so if i had to guess its one of those 3 that actually got me around the issue of "incorrect version" which again, removed my crack files.. just wanted to say thanks again! even if i died 20 times in 40 min playing fallout wasteland genesis mod.

I feel like bashing my head against the wall.

I've been trying since last night, to install Wasteland Reborn - and then I moved to LoreOut after wiping everything to see if that'd work instead.

I keep getting a **** TEMP_BSA_FILES error. Two different errors, same repack, same copy of Wabbajack Unlocked.

What the hell am I doing wrong here?
