They would be made, but not necessarily the ones that he specifically wants made. There are specific devs whom I want to keep making games in their specific styles, and i assume the same is true of @Vaako.
Then you pay them specifically to make it. Control. If you just throw money at them blindly, you gain no control over this process and this therefore does not really work out.

Persona 5 Royal just got released on the high seas, 3 years after its release haunted by Denuvo. :pirate: May this be a sign of further successful bypasses in the near future. :turtle dance:

If nobody was paid to make games the market would make a lot more that I care about. Like the old modding scene did.

"B-but my #based one-man niche indie developer!" I hear you say.
And it's true, any indie dev that comes here is worth supporting. Even if you don't like their games, take the money you save and spend it on their games. :pipe-hat:

Until the "based" developer releases a new woke game like kingdom come deliverance 2. I only trust someone to be based if they are forever excommunicated from the left by speaking against their more important dogmas more than once.

I come from the "physical" era of gaming. You bought the copies... and I paid a ridiculous amount over those years to buy games.

People complain about a bad game on Steam, but have the ability to return it. When I bought most games, they didn't allow you to return them unless there was some defect in the medium.

Talk about being ****** when you bought into the hype of a game and got complete and utter betrayal when you loaded it up and played it. Not only that, but having to wait for patches on buggy games where you had to go to the retail store and get a physical copy update for an issue (actually very rare on ground breaking bugs because back then, they actually paid attention to these things).

I think it was in the 2000-2010 era where I started to really get tired of companies. Online updates were becoming more common and so developers were becoming more and more lazy about making sure their product was ready for release.

The biggest thing was the amount of deception in advertisement around this time. Most retail stores still had very strict policies on returns and so some game companies took advantage of this, even releasing demos of their product that showed the game in one way, but was drastically different from the release product.

After spending an ENORMOUS amount of money over the years being "gimmicked", yeah... **** them... I could not (edit: I am ********) care less about the whole "pirating" debacle. The fact is, with the internet now especially, most people who would pirate, wouldn't bother buying the game if they couldn't. No loss of revenue.

These companies are ******* liars, deceivers and manipulators trying to play the consumer... pirating is the consumer calling their ******* bluff.

Maybe this is an improper use of my language I guess... I don't buy games anymore. Haven't in... heck, nearing a decade, maybe more (outside of specific developers I have respect for).

Did I miss something?

I am stubborn and have immense willpower, so I never cave. If it's not on the High Seas, as far as I'm concerned, it doesn't exist and I've never even heard of it. I don't even have a Steam account, the first I hear of a game is when I see it on Piratebay, because if you advertised it somewhere, I NEVER SAW IT because ADBLOCK, **** YEAH.

There was no "physical era". I have been a man of the sea since pirating games meant typing the source of the game into the computer from a document written on a napkin. There weren't even floppies. The only thing I had original official copies of are AOL disks.

LOL

And folks, this was the early form of "sneaker net" before it established a common medium of transfer.

I think I could neither care more nor less.
You may as well not bother replying to my posts if it's to argue anything except concrete facts or your personal opinion. I still probably won't see it.
