I don't think they would fall for that, but it would be fun to see the seething during the hours or days before the mod gets bannedPixelargh wrote: β December 18th, 2025, 20:28It would be a good idea to publish this mod on the nexus for players who don't know of this website. Of course, it would require of a bit of a name and description change but I think it can avoid the nexus ban hammer with a bit of rephrasing. For example :
"BG3 β Character Role Variants"
Description
This mod provides an alternative configuration of NPC authority roles in Baldurβs Gate 3.
Certain leadership, command, and decision-making positions are reassigned to different characters, offering a variant narrative flavour for players interested in experiencing the game world from a different structural perspective.
No new dialogue, quests, or balance changes are introduced. This mod is purely cosmetic and narrative in nature.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This would make it very hard to moderate. Zero ideology. Purely descriptive.
We have a Steam curator now. You should be following it. https://store.steampowered.com/curator/44994899-RPGHQ/

would probably be removed pretty fast, you get banned for even linking here(if they even still allow it)

You wouldn't link it. That's the thing. You need to pretend it's a completely separate original mod and also remove the dependencies from Realms Restored. And the images should be of unimportant NPCs, not the ones people would remember the most. I think with the right name mod and description, they would fall for it. Especially if you lock the comments preemptively, avoiding people saying "hey, why are so many women bla bla bla" when they notice. If there is no scandal, there is no moderation.rusty_shackleford wrote: β December 19th, 2025, 10:02would probably be removed pretty fast, you get banned for even linking here(if they even still allow it)

Because of how De-Girlboss relies on all RR parts (aesthetics, heads, hair, clothing) it will require to re-do De-Girlboss completely to be able to have it as a fully functioning separate mod.Pixelargh wrote: β December 19th, 2025, 10:41You need to pretend it's a completely separate original mod and also remove the dependencies from Realms Restored.
It'll give us a slight chance of tickling ******, assuming mod will survive there for even several hours. Honestly, doesn't sound worth it right now. Maybe in some future, when there's less ******** left to fix in the game, and as it stands right now -- there's still a lot of ******** to fix.
Got you. Not worth it. It's a shame this amazing mod would go under the radar for a lot of people who might otherwise enjoy it, but alas.ModdersHQ wrote: β December 19th, 2025, 20:57Because of how De-Girlboss relies on all RR parts (aesthetics, heads, hair, clothing) it will require to re-do De-Girlboss completely to be able to have it as a fully functioning separate mod.Pixelargh wrote: β December 19th, 2025, 10:41You need to pretend it's a completely separate original mod and also remove the dependencies from Realms Restored.

I've been thinking about creating a Steam guide to 'de-wokify/de-shitify' the game. It's one of the most common complaints on Steam, and I'm fed up with seeing discussions devolve into ******* flinging **** each other.Pixelargh wrote: β December 19th, 2025, 23:08Got you. Wouldn't that get banned as well if you even mention the names of these mods and link them back here?Doge wrote: β December 20th, 2025, 02:32I've been thinking about creating a Steam guide to 'de-wokify/de-shitify' the game. Someone on Steam's BG3 forum asked if anyone knew of any good mods. I said, "RPGHQ has a few good ones", and got permanently banned. Definitely dispute it, there are some based Steam mods that look at the appeals. Potentially that's one of their ****** community moderators (working for or contracted by Larian) rather than one of the devs themselves.
Still dispute it anyway. Mine had someone from Steam review and overturn it. Force them to justify.

"You can mod the game you bought, but as long as we approve of how you do it"
Then change the name from Baldur's Gate 3 to something else, BG1-2 didn't have that woke crap in it, that now needs to be modded out with several mods.
(And while I'm on topic, thank you so very much, everyone who's been working and contributed on No Alphabets, De-Girlboss, Realms Restored, Wylls of Thoril, and so on!)
I don't recall anymore how I've stumbled on this forum, but I'm so glad, that I did!

I was recently banned from 'Yes, Your Grace' for mocking that loser from 'No More Robots' crashing out on Bluesky, but I appealed and was unbanned. This isn't the first time that something like this has happened to me; I talk **** as if I were Australian. As long as you don't swear and you actually own the game, Steam almost always unbans you. Anyway, I'm going to try once I've got a handle on modding. If anyone would be down to proofread my eventual guide, that would be great, I'm still a bit inexperienced so I don't want to accidentally mislead noobies.Lancaster wrote: β December 20th, 2025, 22:07Since I helped orchestrate corrective means of decontaminating The Realms, I've never really looked back.orinEsque wrote: β December 20th, 2025, 17:02Dispute it.Lancaster wrote: β December 20th, 2025, 16:29

And a side note, as much as I like the name for the mod, it is a bit hard to put a spin on. There's a part of me that likes "Patriarchy Restored" but even that is too on the nose or something innocuous like "Hegemony Re-balanced" lmao
Nearly finished Act 1 and did not encounter any issues. (Praying soldier in a loop praying outside of burning house though i guess it is a vanilla game issue)
Lakrissa and RR Florrick are fine as far as i am concerned. (RR Florrick has amazing design)
Mol is a horrible character (worse than Cuno in Disco Elsyium) and turning her to a street urchin boy would at least make the character less outrageous.

Yeah, he is in a constant loop in vanilla as well, can't really do much about it. It's just character's interaction with the world.roldet wrote: β December 22nd, 2025, 10:16(Praying soldier in a loop praying outside of burning house though i guess it is a vanilla game issue)
I would like to recommend the Sweet Karlach mod for De-Girlbossing Karlach. It gives her the smaller female body type, and makes her a Wild Magic Sorcerer instead of a Barbarian.
Impossible to fix that attitude without some serious voice work though.NotACat wrote: β December 24th, 2025, 01:48I would like to recommend the Sweet Karlach mod for De-Girlbossing Karlach. It gives her the smaller female body type, and makes her a Wild Magic Sorcerer instead of a Barbarian.

I know, but at least she looks cute. I raised the pitch of her voice to give her more of a street urchin vibe. The smaller frame however did that accordion thing that you said can be fixed. Then there is the matter of her taking on the role of a man in an unfavorable scene that can be modded. It might be easier just to cut her head off if the opportunity presents itself.orinEsque wrote: β December 24th, 2025, 02:44Impossible to fix that attitude without some serious voice work though.NotACat wrote: β December 24th, 2025, 01:48I would like to recommend the Sweet Karlach mod for De-Girlbossing Karlach. can you delete romance option for her if modding "the scene" is too much work then? i know many had mentioned a mod swapping her animations to fix the issue, but i guess it's not much help for HQ modders...Lancaster wrote: β December 24th, 2025, 04:34I raised the pitch of her voice to give her more of a street urchin vibe. also thx in advance for pitching her voice
I don't know how to go about deleting the scene, but I did use the mod that corrects the gender role. I don't remember off the top of my head where I got the mod from on Nexus. Nonetheless she's a character I can live without, but I'll send you the higher pitch if you want it.CheesusCrust wrote: β December 24th, 2025, 06:34can you delete romance option for her if modding "the scene" is too much work then? i know many had mentioned a mod swapping her animations to fix the issue, but i guess it's not much help for HQ modders...Lancaster wrote: β December 24th, 2025, 04:34I raised the pitch of her voice to give her more of a street urchin vibe. For a smaller frame, you can use the magic mirror mod, or pick up the one on Nexus. Timelines are beyond my skills, and it's what you will need to not have the accordion body in some scenes.
Sounds good! She's one of the few that I don't mind being a woman tho, as she serves as an aspirational figure for Lae'zel, what she could be if she kept rising up the ranks.
As an aside, those other gith at the end look super goofy lol -- curtain bangs and pink dreads + goatee combo
