Hi, I love your mod. I've been following it forever. Thank you so much for making the game actually playable. I really can't thank you enough. I was just wondering, I know I'm in the minority on this, but I really loved your original version of Nocturne you made here. When he still had purple skin and got over his gender issues and accepted himself for who he is as a man. I thought it was brilliant and something we never see because of the people who'd find it insulting. Is there any way to make a separate mod to get him back like this? I'd really appreciate it

Uh I can pull it back together yes. I'm sure I have the old version somewhere. I'm currently working to improve all the voices on No Alphabets, I'll release old version as an optional mod with the new patch.

I know a lot of you hate even the concept of gender dysphoria in your game. But its basically Body Integrity Dysphoria, where you think a limb or part of your body isn't yours. its seen in people with severe autism. So something like that existing in any timeline isn't entirely implausible. But the fact that he isn't being sent to an exorcist, is.

Thank you so much! You're so kind. I never get to see stories of characters suffering from this illness actually accept themselves for who they really are. Usually they cling to the delusion and are celebrated for it in today's age. Which I think is so unhealthy and sad. So, I thought his genuine self acceptance was wonderful and I was sad to see it removed, you know? But, I understand why others would rather see the whole thing scrapped. Thanks again

I think the idea is kind of brilliant. There's so much mainstream exultation of mental illness as a virtue in video games, but rarely ever an exploration of mental healing, or at least successful management of mental illness. I remember taking Psychology in college, we were reading through the DSM-5 about gender dysphoria, and then I'd go down the hall to Sociology, and they'd be like "fake news, it's normal and good." Maybe some people just don't like any real-world issues referenced in their video game (mods especially), maybe they just want complete escapism. I can understand, for sure. Still, you guys did an amazing job with this mod, it's truly special and makes the game so much more immersive, thanks.

But then again, I also liked it better when Lucretius actually was a drag-queen, since as I mentioned way back when, a circus or the like is precisely the place we should expect to find the juxtapositioned or strange, whether expressed as a form of showmanship or a result of legitimate derangement. Crossdressing has a pretty long history of absurdist levity.

If we lived in a time when all this madness was not normalized or celebrated, then having the odd character with "woke" traits might not bother me if it was handled in a way that made it clear it was abnormal and not to be emulated, perhaps like learning to overcome dysphoria. We do not however, and I would rather not have it at all. I would not say that those who do want it should not get a patch for it, assuming the modders wants to make one. That being said, I appreciate that these mods exist, and that so much time and effort has been put in to try and salvage a game that I had originally written off as being beyond saving. I appreciate the team giving me the choice to mod the game to be free of the content the world seems to eager to force on me at every opportunity. That being said, the addition of the "ywnbaw" in the journal was gold. And ******** seething is always welcomed. Though I do think your most recent versions of the mod are my favorite.

I would argue that the main point of the mod is to restore content to a state before DEI consultants and sensitivity readers got their hands on it.

Restoring Aylin, pretty much the only character we all know for a fact was originally conceived as male and that was male well into development, and that was only changed to female around the time when the game seems to have taken a narrative dive (speculated to be because of WotC meddling and the appearance of their troonsquad insisting on changes, which may have shattered Larian's working relationship with WotC for the future due to how bad it was), is pretty central to that.

While I wouldn't be opposed to a mod-patch that again changes Aylin to female, insofar that I am opposed to no mods, I argue that it's like saying "I only want a little bit of poop on my sandwich". I wouldn't hold my breath.

Nightsong being a woman wasnt a problem for me, but she being a lesbian was really cringe imo. Kinda ruined the immersion for me, also i am in Act 2 right now. I just want to remove other woke stuff and dont mind Aylin stuff for now.

I am getting closer to fully wrapping up NA. I will consider giving separate patches for: (1) All non relevant NPCs to straight, (2) Nocturne, (3) Sebastian, (4)Lucretious, (5) Ser Aylin, (6) Valeria

then you can mix and match as you like. No promises though. Since I just remembered again that it means supporting a whole extra set of mods...

Yes this is actually higher priority than splitting the other characters since Valeria has a pretty decent voice actor.

Hi there, if you use the plusUI version of CCreator it will get rid of the numbers. If you want to know if No Alphabets is working, then the earliest sign is the female elf with the grave diggers outside withers' temple. She will carry a letter from her lover. If its from a man, then the mod is working.

3. Nocturne (T) talks about his self-improvement instead of sex change:
   • That's not who I am now -> I'm a better man now
   • They were attacking who you were -> They were attacking your faith
   • I wasn't happy with who I was -> I wasn't happy with how I was
4. Z'rell will no longer do telepathic kiss-touch nonsense on you when the ogre is dead.
5. Aelen (non prisoner version) is no longer dirty.
6. Aelen's eyes now glow correctly during magical boy transformation, etc.

1. Soul Cage Animation Bug where the hand grab his legs: This is a save game issue where the soul cage expects a female strong body. Starting a new game or loading a new game before entering Act 2 (or perhaps the shadowfell) should fix the issue.
2. Aelen's soul cage portrait now shows his correct male self.
3. 12 voiced lines and 4 unvoiced player lines altered for correct pronouns. Thanks for your bug reports!
4. Found fix to Aylin's girly screaming issue when you let Balthazar take him (See Voice Overhauls section).

1. This patch lets you reverse the contents of Nocturne's diary to pre version 3.0. This is the one where he decides to rightly accept himself as the man he was born as.

It's been 2+ years since NA came out. It's about time I upgraded my voice AI tools. With that comes massive upgrades to legacy voice swaps.

1. 193 Sir Aelen voice lines upgraded.
   • Emotionless voice issues fixed
   • Hoarse shouts/screams now sounds manly
   • Far more anger/annoyance when speaking about Lorroakan/Ketheric
2. Sir Aelen no longer screams like a little girl.
3. Sir Aelen's SFX redone to remove brokenness and tinniness.
4. Lucretious' voice has been redone but with the same voice.
5. Lucretious is now very high quality and no longer sounds tinny.
6. Nocturne now has a completely new deep voice. His faggy voice should sound posh rather than just plan faggoty.
7. Sebastian has been completely redone with the same voice. The poor conversion of crying/breathy/whininess has been fixed.
8. Some of the earliest changed NPCs with crappy voices have been replaced to remove tininess:
   • Hunkers Boolean
   • Kali Hammerhand
   • Fuschia Vineshoot
   • Ploughmann Zakk
   • Hunkers Boolean

Hello! I like the new emotions you have added to the voices, however, I think Sir Aelen misspelled the words wry and machinations. Also, does this mod change the lip animations? The chef dwarf says wife, but his mouth says husband. P.S. some of Aelen's voice clips sound a bit low quality. No offense.

There is no way to fix the mocap.

With the voices, we are limited by tech.
