The game had it's 0.9.9 version release today, and I saw a comment from one of the devs that they plan to release the full version in about a week.
Can someone tell them I will not have the free time and to hold off?

Played around with the latest build for a bit and the balance is much better (pickpocket is actually functional with reasonable skill) but still more tuning is required in economy and combat especially and there are still some pretty rough spots in dialog and questing and such.
@rusty_shackleford you will lose nothing by waiting six months to version 1.X whatever and gain a much better gameplay experience.

And there are two DLCs available now for dev support. reasonably priced but not especially useful.
I wonder if they plan to add more to the game via DLCs. There's room for more things for sure.
You may as well not bother replying to my posts if it's to argue anything except concrete facts or your personal opinion. I still probably won't see it.

The adventures of Locke ended when he became lizard dinner, but the adventures of Falconhoof are going well.

I thought this would be a 2026 game, but it looks like 2025 got saved at the last minute.

I wouldn't call it done and ready to play with the best experience available.
Yes, you can play the "whole" game, but there's still partial complete content, especially in the later game areas.
The whole game to them is the mainline quest content. There are still things left disabled in the game, including areas.
Swordhaven has been finalised, but it still needs the last bits of polish...
It is still a bit rough around the edges, especially in the endgame, but it's all there for you to check out.
Additionally:
The Kickstarter stretch goal, the Cursed City, will be added with Swordhaven 1.1 as a large new location that will tie up loose ends in some of the more esoteric subplots, while presenting you with new items, skills, and abilities.
But credit where it's due: they did do a pretty thorough pass to pretty up the original areas. The most noticeable is the starting beach, which is now perhaps overdone with the extra items of visual interest there on that lonely beach. Still, that much naval equipment there now makes the trail from Clamreach to there make more sense.

Better wait a few more months as the game is still very unfinished right now.

******* hell. These are REAL RPGs.
I guess the younger generation wants curated simplified **** like Expedition 33 or actionslop like Elden Ring instead.
(I purposefully ignore the shooter and sports only demographics as they aren't gamers.)

Releasing your game right before the Steam winter sale is a bad idea, they should have listened to me!

Unless you're big enough to afford the marketing(e.g., Larian), you probably shouldn't do early access tbh. It greatly reduces your launch visibility. Not as anything other than a "we're already done and just need to fix things" early access, anyways.

I read that, like Atom, every single NPC has unique dialogue trees and there are rewards for exploring all of them so I'm not going to bother. I already know I don't like that.

First, only important NPCs have more than a few entries and many background ones have the standard random greeting or at most a line or two of "color" dialogue.

Second, are you being serious?
Or are you just channeling modern ***** "gamer" thinking as a illustration of the problem with too many modern game players.

No one made RPGs like this and for good reason. It's exhausting. If I click on a random townsperson I expect a floating line, nothing more.

Ordinary Russians will not play a videogame if it does not have Russian translation. If it's a game made by slav devs who all know Russian but only include Ukrainian translation the ones who could still play it in English will take it as a personal insult.
I will still try it in a year or two when it is properly patched and fattened with updates cause I don't care about politics when something is good.
