Was a fun show to watch as an E33 enjoyer. I can't wait to see more about Gang of Dragon from the OG Yakuza series creator (Toshihiro Nagoshi), I admire the balls of showing off the red Kamurocho gate in the trailer. I didn't even know he made his own studio since I'm a newfag to the series but it's easy to tell that he's why the series used to be so good and that it's been declining since he left. Didn't care about much else besides Phantom Blade Zero which I already was interested in

Yeah, bro! Hyped for this one too. I remember Nagoshi leaving to join NetEase to make mobile games or something. Also had no idea he had formed his own studio and was working on this the whole time! Makes me wonder why he left Sega just to make the same kind of thing as Yakuza... It's gonna be a wild rivalry going forward with the RGG guys.

Gang of the Dragon will be something to keep on the radar. I find it interesting that it has a somewhat overweight, middle aged man as the protagonist (though he doesn't look repulsive). You don't often see that in games, particularly Asian games which almost exclusively depict young slim beautiful people.

After BG3, I was somewhat interested in what Larian would do next due to their production values. But this is so repulsive.

New Star Wars Podracer game has lost the art direction of the original, now it just looks like boring brown photorealistic slop. It'll probably be inferior to the original just like the so-called Battlefront remakes were.

ZZZ trailer only showed off the new Void Hunter girl, rather than the big news of co-op and guilds coming. ZZZ had co-op in the beta, but it was removed by the time of the official release. It seems like there might be a bigger push for people to do multiplayer in ZZZ than in Genshin and WuWa where it was an after thought hardly anyone does.

Didn't see any cool fantasy stuff in the Ace Combat 8 trailer like space elevators or humongous airships. Seems very mundane and boring.

Nioh 3 looks like it might be interesting.

The almost pseudo 2D artstyle of the foreground characters in Orbitals seems interesting, though the backgrounds still look obviously 3D.

Final Fantasy XIV won "best ongoing game"? What are these people smoking? This year, FF14 has had a grand total of two patches. Two patches, that lasted four hours each and had no longevity past that. WoW had Undermine, Karesh, Legion remix, and housing. And then that's not even getting into the huge Chinese games like Genshin and WuWa which have a new patch with new story and a new zone every 6 weeks.

Maybe it was supposed to make you feel repulsed since I have the feeling both parties in the trailer are not exactly what you would call good people. I'd say they are not showing the good stuff yet regarding Ace Combat 8.
ZZZ and the other gachas have way too much focus on women. Hate it. Atleast Endfield had that cool guy with the whip sword.

FFXIV winning that is a joke. Warcraft probably would've deserved it more. Undermine looked cool, K'aresh is great and Legion Remix is fun as hell plus Housing fucks everything FFXIV has.

You can present villagers as being morally bankrupt without having to make such a horrendously awful trailer. It's not the story that's bad but the trailer itself. The only other game trailers that come vaguely close off of the top of my head are the Diablo 4 trailers (namely the woman's arms being split apart in the first expansion trailer) but even they don't come across as offputting as the Divinity trailer. And the Diablo trailers didn't have a Berserk orgy either.

ZZZ yes with there only being 3 new male characters in the current 2.X Waifei Peninsula expac, vs the 11 new girls. Fortunately there has been a great deal of backlash, particularly with two of those male characters Manato and Banyue being undertuned, so hopefully the ZZZ team will course correct for the next expansion like the Genshin team did after last year's 5.X Natlan expac. WuWa yes with Qiuyuan being the only male added to that game since Brant 9 months ago. HSR never had a ratio problem and is about even.

Endfield's release date was announced for late January but so far it doesn't look especially appealing. First, they ditched the SRPG/tower defense gameplay of the original game which gave it more depth. Now it's yet another open world action combat game where you swap between 4 characters, just like Genshin and WuWa. Endfield's launch lineup only consists of two somewhat cool-ish male characters (the Hellagur expy, the panda, and the dragon boy). And the Hellagur expy was aged down into yet another young beautiful slim man as opposed to the grizzled older general he was in the original game. I am skeptical that Endfield will release characters in the patches returning to that feel.

First game shown will be Forza Horizon 6. This time we are in Japan. We dont start as some hotshot star but instead as a tourist, and go higher in ranks, unlocking cars and high octane events. When you reach Gold, you unlock Legend Island.
The Graphics are phenomenal. Very realistic environments. Cars look very detailed. Highly likely there will be drifting, and they HAVE to add the Toyota Sprinter Trueno AE86, and Subaru Impreza WRX STI same with Nissan Skyline GT-R. At launch 500+ Cars, you'll be able to add livery. Classic JDM will be a part of the game. Audio is improved even further. The cars sound absolutely fantastic. Music will also be diverse, and ambient will sound just as immersive.
Garages are now customizable, and can look unique. You get an Estate and at first everything is overgrown but in time you can expand it and even invite friends. There is also Auto Drive so you can enjoy the scenery, when taking a small break.
There are places you can drive to, where you can show off your car, download liveries and then head out and do dynamic activities. (Also the AE86 IS IN THE GAME) I will very likely buy this, **** looks awesome.

General Producer talks about Beast of Reincarnation. Post-apocalyptic Japan. One Person - One Dog ARPG. Gives me NIER and Stellar Blade vibes. Main character name is Emma and the dog is Koo. They talk alot about the reasons why they chose the setting, how enemies look and all that. Story is set 4026 apparently. Looks nice so far. Seems like both Emma and Koo compliment each other regarding their skills and you can make your own playstyle. You can let Koo initiate combat first or you can. Your Choice.

The Inhabitants of the games are just as interactable. You can again work, buy houses and shops, have kids and multiple wives, divorce and so on. Ofcourse it is diverse as ****. Saw *******, pajeets and asians. (Just kill them all lel) Depending on how you are, the people have opinions of you, and will voice them.

While the game does not appeal to me personally, I am glad that some of the devs at Game Freak are able to escape from underneath TPC's thumb and make what they really want.

We have known from the GameFreak job reviews and the Tera Leak why the last decade of Pokemon games are the way they are. A lot of the fault lies with The Pokemon Company trying to dictate control over every aspect of the franchise, not just the anime but also the mainline games. One of the culprits being Ken Sugimori who had transferred to TPC and had become a higher up there and is on the committee that oversees everything and tries to hand out orders and vetoes productions.

Junichi Masuda wanted to make Pokemon games his own way, and TPC was not happy about that, so they set budgets that were too small to punish him for not "cooperating" hoping he would give in. GameFreak was having to resort to selling merch like cards trying to get more money that they could use for the games. An arguement between Masuda and Sugimori happened and TPC used that to get Masuda removed as director, replaced by Ohmori who they had hoped would have been their yes man in GameFreak. But GameFreak is set up like a dictatorship and Ohmori just wound up being the new artist in chief that the GF staff obeyed and would not bow to TPC's orders. Now TPC has managed to get rid of Ohmori and is "restructuring" Game Freak (read: breaking down its strong internal bonds) so that it will do whatever TPC's committee wants them to do. Apparently development of the next gen is a clusterfuck and the GameFreak devs working on Pokemon are miserable.
