Chess and Poker out of those options, but my favorite game of all is Euchre. Euchre is a regional thing though so if someone's heard of it I'll be impressed

As well as others my days of social stuff like this are mostly behind me

I don't play any, because that'd require having actual friends, and I have no such friends as everyone I knew is gone and there is only ice cream.
Eat your ice cream.

Actually, I had no clue what I was doing because I was a little kid and my brother wasn't about to explain it clearly or else I might prove a challenge.

This is a Reiner Knizia classic that I was able to play with three different non-gaming groups, my best record ever. Everybody has fun with this one. You play as an art gallery owner competing in auctions for young talent that will break out. Showing the back of the box for more details.

It's great as a solo game, too, probably even better than with a group.
I love how it seems to be impossible to beat at first and how over time, as you learn to mitigate RNG and how to position your squad, your win rate rises and rises.
Pretty great experience for a "card game", better than most board and video games and best Space Hulk adaptation imo.

It blows my mind how many people don't know how to play various card games these days. Generational thing I guess, but there are a ton of really fun games to play with cards other than typical gambling card games.

I like Carcassonne. A relatively simple version without many of the add-ons.
A friend and I came up with a 2-player duel variant that went hard. Of course, we were the best two players before that.

I don't care much for most of the games on the poll list, but I have to single out Monopoly and Scrabble as particularly disliked.
Monopoly for all the usual reasons, and Scrabble because of the ******** "legal" words that are definitely NOT English.
I once took a Scrabble dictionary, tore it in two, then threw it in a toilet, because that's where **** belongs.

You may as well not bother replying to my posts if it's to argue anything except concrete facts or your personal opinion. I still probably won't see it.
Reject your retarded-wing political programming and learn to think.
If you can.

I have 2 married friends that have at their home like 50 to 60 board games. The ones that i prefer are The resistance: Avalon and Twilight Imperium.

Fisrt is a mafia/werefolf type of game, the other is an Empire building with war and a bit of diplomacy.

I've never played it myself, but my relatives get a game going every year at our family reunion.
