Edit: Nvm I'm way late to this discussion lol. Looks like it's still available on mod.io. Apparently it was removed because it used some code from another mod, not because of any "objectionable" (i.e., not gay) content.

It also has private builds in discord - with that code back in, so Shadowheart's hair won't revert to vanilla anymore, if you mod it.

Edit: Well, what do you think... the ******* from reddit got triggered yet again. Private builds will be unavailable for some time on the server, but should be back.

I don't think it matters unless you have other mods that alter dialogue & events.

I'm done with all the ******** and constant whining about modding both from reddit/nexus **** and discord - so here's the last (I think) Really Shadowheart build with her modded hair being fixed, before it got discontinued. Maybe it'll come in handy someday, cause I doubt now that the author will ever fix that again.

I see Gale has an exclamation mark so I run over to see the next part of his story. This then leads into an odd scene where Gale and my character stare at each other a little weirdly while soft grand piano music is playing, even though I had installed recommended mods such as Better Romance and Better Alphabets which I heard was supposed to prevent this from happening. Maybe it was too baked into the cutscenes and couldn't be excised, but it's just so weird.

Gayle isn't particularly salvageable IMO. I changed his voice, and his look, but his suggestive glances & limp wristed mannerisms always betrayed him. Best just to cut off his hand when you can. His story arc kinda sucks, and his gayness really shines whenever his says "lover". Or use Kowe's companions mod that makes him a woman.

I feel like rejiggering the narration to not imply you're going to start sucking face would be a massive improvement. I don't know how within the realm of possibility rescripting the scene to not have you breathing in each other's mouths would be.

I swear, for supposedly being Mystra's boytoy, Gale is the single accidentally making you almost gay character in this game.

I rejected the weaving spells together scene, as I seemed to recall even with this mod it can trigger being in a romance with him, or at least flag some dialoge with other party members to infer that you are.

I did not think anything of it when the tiefling party came along and we talked about him not having anyfriends and asking if I was his or something along those lines, to which I said alright.

Then, when talking to Carla after the night, after cooling her down and doing the smoochies, she hits me with this veiled diss of calling me a ******. It was funny and sad at the same time.


If possible, it'd be great if Gayle and this **** got somehow reigned in in a future update.

Of course! And ah, I wish I was able to do the same when I've played first... With modding that all away... Anyway!
So, if you modded Shadowheart's hair, for example, to wear her hair loose style, without this fix her hair in that scene will revert back to her vanilla hair style! Then after the scene ends, back to her modded one, so its just a fix for immersion if you mod her hair. That's just all

There is this mod that swap Player and Karlach animation for this scene.

As i understand it, it stop the gain or loss of approval from companions, so you never reach the requirements to trigger romance (and companion quests).
But the banter between the companions themself are not affected by that, is it ? exept some of the lines talking about the player probably.

Even if you turn that ****** inside out, and swap out his voice, he's still a terrible character. He has no purpose other than to be black, bisexual, charitable, and to have every snicker licker throw themselves at him. If he was a good character, I would have invested more time in him with higher quality voice conversion AI.
