I absolutely love BG3's Patch 8 and 7

For discussing role-playing video games, you know, the ones with combat.

Looking at this thread it's kind of incredible how literally nothing changes. People still have the exact same identical conversations on repeat. It's still 1:1 people calling each other woke, people saying to wait for X mod to be updated or Y mod to be released, people asking if the game is playable now, people saying they're going to wait (it's been over 2 years just play the game) for more improvements, speculation about when the development "turned woke" from EA etc.
You could slot this thread in the general BG3 thread anywhere from the past 2-3 years and there would be no anachronisms besides the patch numbers.
I'm just stating the facts.
Question is are you going to gargle the truth or swallow?

When the game with pronoun selection, bodytypes, dickgirls, companions trying to gay rape you, and ******* everywhere suddenly goes woke 😲
Is there a single character that actually has the wrong genitals other than that weird crossdressing necromancer?
Thought that was a player only thing.

@Envuen I mean, I agree it's "woke", but you can mod the game to do that and let people who enjoy it differently just enjoy it. Problem solved.

I keep seeing updates on GoG, are they still updating the game much and how will that effect the mod progression? I would rather wait till everything settles, the mods are finished and then consider downloading it for the collection and locking it to the mods.

Yeah, trash still stinks no matter long it sits in the sun, quite a surprising discovery.

It is deceptive too - it's woke, incredibly so - but it goes into overdrive in Act 2 onwards. So it purposely tricks people at the start.
For real. Currently on my second playthrough (first one was on release) and playing co-op + NA + RR felt sooo much better than the first time. I even started thinking maybe I was a bit too harsh the first time.

Then I reached the Shar Temple and freeing the Nightsong, and man that scene is actually epic in a classical sense. An unironic angel-like hero knight of light in a 2023 Larian game !

But no, can't have something purely good, honorable and noble can we ? Let's just make him really human and modern like all the rest, another sex craved mundane character who's true purpose is bonking his necroed gitlfriend.

Like, it ruins it even with him as a man. And reminded me of the true corrupting intent of the character Larian intended writing it as a lesbo girlboss.

Would be great if a mod could write off the Isobel **** entirely.
