Played it for an hour or so.
The gameplay is not an RPG in the slightest. It's a more action-y Dishonored. The one cool thing is the glide ability. Using it in the open world feels really nice.
The writing has been pretty lame, though I haven't been subjected to much faggotry so far. The protagonist looks very gay, no matter the haircut or the outfit.
The game looks and runs like dogshit, courtesy of UE5. I had very frequent framerate drops in the open world, both on Low and Ultra graphics settings. No FOV setting is annoying. Crouching adds a dark vignette that obscures your field of view even further.
Had it been a standalone vampire game, I would've said to wait a year or three to see if they pull a Cyberpunk 2077 and iron out all the issues. But as a sequel to Bloodlines, it's an insult.
Do not recommend.
What are you specs? Runs fine on ultra on my PC. 9070 XT/9800X3D

Did anyone really expect this game to not be woke **** capitalizing on nostalgia? The entire point of making modern sequels or remakes of cult classics or old franchises of the 2000s is to take a giant **** on someone's childhood memories and inject marxoid reeducation into them overtly as a humiliation ritual. For the newfags it's just brainwashing under the guise of entertainment.
This is undeniably true and we have about 15 years STRAIGHT of consistent evidence that it's true, including admissions from game devs themselves, and yet there are still ******* like Roguey who think they can lie through their teeth like it's still 2012 and try to maintain that these are honest attempts at making good games instead of another trojan horse of marxist ideology.

Thank You & Upcoming Plans

Thank you. From everybody at White Wolf, The Chinese Room, and Paradox Interactive, we want to say a massive thank you to everybody who’s playing our game, and for the massive outpouring of support and feedback that we are receiving. We love seeing your different versions of Phyre, hearing which characters that you love to love, and love to hate. We’ve laughed at videos of you using telekinesis to drop ghouls off rooftops, or figuring out 14 different ways to kick, and we’re so grateful for every interaction.

From your comments, we also know there are some players who are facing issues. While we continue working on the post-release plans for Bloodlines 2, we’d like to address some of those immediately and provide possible workarounds so that as many of you as possible can return to enjoying the game. As part of this process, we want to thank everybody who’s taken the time to fill out the bug report form. It helps us immensely to get an overview of what issues people are facing!

Known Issues

High Priority Items:
  • The game does not launch or gets stuck on the starting screen.
Workaround: Please try running the game and launcher as admin.
  • Seattle is not populating correctly with NPCs on some quests.
Workaround: Please try reloading the last save from the main menu.
  • The AZERTY keyboard does not work, or keybinding does not work.
Workaround: Please try adding the QWERTY keyboard layout in Windows.

We are also working on some platform-specific performance issues, such as crashes on PS5. Regarding known bugs like the Lasombra and Toreador being locked at the clan selection screen on some platforms, we recommend updating and reinstalling the game.

While working on resolving known issues, we are also collecting your feedback continuously for a smoother gameplay experience, and are aware of your suggestions, such as:
  • There is no way to disable motion blur.
(Workaround: Please try turning post-processing to low.)
  • Settings are lacking a FOV slider.
  • Ability to disable HUD elements.
  • Facial hair in character customization.
We appreciate and encourage you to continue sharing your thoughts with us. For issues related to redeeming pre-order codes, blood points, or other platform-related problems, please contact Paradox Support.

Once again, thank you for being part of this journey. Your passion, feedback, and patience mean the world to us, and we’re committed to continuing to improve Bloodlines 2. The story of Seattle’s Kindred is only just beginning.
Just like Yves, I chase tales

It's not particularly woke nor is it particularly nostalgic. Paradox was banking on the latter to sell it, sure. TCR just made a visceral vampire game about being a monster in modern times.

The game was in development for so long it ended up being not even particularly woke by the modern standards.

Mitsoda and Ellison's version was going to be far woker. It was going to have pronoun selection (and you could choose a male body and go with she/her pronouns and vice versa and attraction was going to be determined solely by pronoun choice and not body type), trigger warnings in quests.

I imagine they wouldn't approve of the second night out's events

My derogatory name for anarchs.

I've seen at least one antifa-sympathizer fuming about how the beginning of the game has you slaughtering antifa-types.

Chinese Room's former title was a Scottish oil rig half filled with ******* and browns (with Scottish accents) on top of lesbian butch women, on a ******* OIL RIG. That isn't reality, that is what a brainwashed liberal believes how reality should be according to their cult dogma. It was also incredibly linear and just felt like another attempt to rival Amnesia or SOMA.

Tragically, the Chinese Room peaked at the final end sequence of Machine for Pigs, notably the moment that speech was delivered, and will never reach those heights again in their lifetimes. Not even 5 minutes is all you can attribute as "greatness" to them as a studio. No wonder they hate themselves and the world, having to deal with that bitter truth as they continue to develop mediocre, ideological trash.

Impressive, they managed to make all the options equally gay.

Guess we now know where all the dev time went into.

What did they mean by having the Muslim clan have an outfit called the Stalker?

Yep, necklaces and plunging necklines are for teens and women.

That pocket chain is also girly. Sheriff shouldn't have anything ****-like that could be grabbed in a brawl.
If you want to carry a clock or some other gadget, you chain in to one of the medium buttons and put into a side pocket. In the breast pocket your jacket would just bulge out (I've tried).
Breast pockets are for something really compact, not chains.

Those outfits were probably drawn by a woman.

Ben Matthews, Jordan Grimmer, and Michele Nucera (a guy) were responsible for the outfits. Brighton has a large gay community, women were not involved in this process.

That was cringe, yes. So far this one just reflects the reality of modern Seattle.

Could always use More Pig though.

Both the male and female player characters have the same proportions and both look like ***** no matter what you do in the character creator. This has the knock of effect of making some of the outfits look really silly, like the stalker one looks like a pooner outfit.

Well you can also have almost a bald look. But yeah there are like 5 hairstyles you can choose from and at least 3 all look like the mental illness haircut.

Could be worse for the character you play. I started playing the high seas version yesterday. Runs terrible and graphic card makes so much noise that I put all graphic settings to low anyway and that with a 3070. Quests are boring, just repeative running arround not even random events on the streets or so. Have seen like 4 different enemys if you dont count bosses and the whole city is run by women. Only thing fun really is the jumping arround and gliding but prototype is even a little better there. I dont even think it has music most of the time and if there is a nightclub what they play there sounds so bad its not even meme worthy. The whole masquerade thing kinda runs really against the only thing this game is good at, moving arround. And there are no cheat skills to avoid it. Havent found a canalisation or any areas yet which are even outside of the few city blocks you have on this small map. Only good thing is at least it has controller support so I can put my feet up while playing.

Oh and another thing you sometimes get flashbacks while you sleep where you do ****** detective work with only mind altering powers (no combat) and lots of bad dialogue. So that you just cant rush through the game or get bored from the combat too fast.
