Yes, I did. It was fun enough for open-world slop, and had some nice storytelling beats (the old female servant that mistakes the protagonist for his father near death was touching), and the art direction was great. There's a good reason the island of Tsushima acknowledged the game.

The story itself, while derivative, did the source material justice, barring the occasional girlboss and the **** ****.

But as Kalarion is wont to say, being a chud in the current year +n is an exercise in figuring out just how much woke you're willing to tolerate.

Did you like the ugly 80 year old woman who's one of the best and most respected warriors in all of the land, is a secret lesbian who hates her family, and betrays/tries to kill you (in 1 on 1 martial combat of course) before you're forced to forgive her and spare her life? What about her army of super powerful female warriors?

What about the ugly peasant woman who saves your life, is much smarter than you, and fights men alongside you?

Or the ugly woman who defected to the Mongols, tortures and kills Japanese peasants, and then you're forced to forgive and spare her life?

Or the ugly 80 year old woman who leads a Mongolian army and serves as the final boss of the game?

Or the guy who comes out of the closet to the protagonist, who readily accepts his sexuality?

I also never beat the game cause it got ******* boring like all Ubisoft games do, so didn't know about some of those later bits.

And that is why GoY bombed. It would be one thing if Ishii was your typical libshit. Almost all of the VA's in the West are some flavor of libshit. However, her constant calls for the violence and death of MAGA supporters and TERF's, her insane gender politics, and her being a proud card carrying member of Antifa (an organization that has now been responsible for numerous deaths including Charlie Kirk) was too much for most people. I am glad these people are getting exposed and having their careers ruined. As they say, sunlight is the best disinfectant.
