Before the teams make their way to the field, cameras spot a number of signs in the stands, along with a lot of 'orange' as well...

Some signs of note: "MANNY VON SACKSTEIN!", "BROADSIDE THE BOMBER", "FANGS OUT!" ( with Manny and Vergil's #'s on it ), a couple guys wearing New Vegas NCR Ranger helmet replicas holding a sign "PATCH THE CORSAIRS", "It's my birthday! Score a Touchdown for me Vergil!", "HQ.Q" , and a row of guys just painted orange with hair dyed green.

The HQ Star Dome stadium lights are dimmed as the crowd ups the volume with cheers...

A mixture of red, white, blue and orange glows are peppered throughout the stands as the HQ entrance way is illuminated and music starts as the boys come out walking this time with Lore Gamer, Vergil "The Vampire" and Manny von Carstein flanking Kalzone "The Bomber" in a slightly modified 'spear' formation.





QB Francisco Engstrom follows the HQ player introductions leading his team out onto the field to a chorus of 'boos'. Both teams make their way to their sidelines as the lights return to proper illumination and the HQ entrance music silences out for the National Anthem.





( During the anthem, our guys are shifting weight back and forth, ready to go... )

The anthem ends, helmets are strapped on and QB Kalzone "The Bomber" and Tampa Bay QB Francisco Engstrom make their way to center field for the coin toss...
The crowd break out in a loud " GO BOYS GO! *Thump Thump* *ThumpThumpThump* GO BOYS GO! Chant which commentary stops for and the cameras take in as it's deafening for a few seconds...

QB Francisco Engstrom speaks first... " So you're the old man beating us in passing yards so far this season... "The Bomber" huh?

Kalzone "The Bomber" reaches up with his right hand and pulls down as if to 'inflate a life jacket' then using both hands to grab at his chest guard's neck area to 'adjust it'.
The crowd roars at this as Engstrom watches with no reaction simply stating... "Meeting 1 of 2..."

QB Francisco Engstrom looks at the ref and calls 'heads'.

Coin lands on 'tails'.

RPGHQ Shitposters choose to receive the ball to start the game.

Both teams line up in their spots on opposite sides of the field as Element "The Watchman" twiddles his fingers, ready for the catch...

The Ref signals for an 'all good to proceed' as the Tampa Bay kicker holds up a finger and runs at the ball smashing it into the air to start game 5...

Sorry again for the delay just hardly any time to finish it, 3 day job that should have only been 1 and a 1/2 at most... fuckin alcoholic nut job customer we had to deal with since Monday, finally fuckin done. Show up 8, can't get in or ahold until 10:30.... comes home, loaded, drinking since early am. Loud blasting music all day, in and out of the house smoking weed, sits down just watching us 6-7 hours out of 9 or 10, constant yapping and retelling the same stories over and over again, asking the same questions about everything every 10-15 mins etc...******* UNREAL lol 3 fuckin days straight of this...........just a non stop nuisance. [ 1st Quarter ]

Element "The Watchman" catches the ball at the kick off running it up to the HQ 27 before going down as the crowd is still roaring and most of them on their feet as the hype is still surging with 3 of our boys coming back for this game against the champs. Hard to hear so Kal has to yell loud to get the play called to the guys and it's a handoff to Stacko Turtles who is held at the 27 for no gain as a wall up keeps him standing for a few secs before the ref blows the play dead.

Kal goes for a second hand off but it's a fake and he finds Element "The Watchman" lurking far left, an unlikely target and he fires one to him which he catches and turns on the jets hugging the left side of the field chased by a Corsair Safety but Element "The Watchman" gets in and brings it INTO THE ENDZONE FOR AN EARLY TOUCHDOWN!!! Caught them slacking on that one as White Shark nails the extra point to make it 7-0 HQ early! ( fastest TD I think I've gotten ).

Crowd is roaring with that early TD as Defensive and Offensive units swap out early and Tampa Bay gets ready to receive the ball.

The kick is sent off to the Corsairs and they make a run up to their 34 yl before going down. They make it to their 32, and Nathaniel Saxton gets a nice swat on a pass to force a 4th down rather quickly as the stadium volume holds with the boys holding the Corsairs up early into their first possession before they are forced to punt it off back to us.

Oyster Sauce catches the deep punt getting it to the HQ 17. Element "The Watchman" keeps his hype going and gets one from Kal to bag a first down at the HQ 29. The Corsairs hold us though at our 37 yl as we get walled until 4th down and having to punt it back...

Tampa Bay gets a second shot at it now as they catch it make a nice run again to their 43 yl, nabbing 1st downs along the way to the HQ 40, and 38 where they get stopped to 4th down...

Instead of going for a FG at 38 yards they actually opt to go for it to keep the drive alive instead of an easy 3 pts... The boys hold them up though as the crowd roars again as it's a Turnover on Downs with us getting back on our 38 yl!...

Kalzone "The Bomber" comes back out at the HQ 38 with a toss to Vergil for his first reception in weeks getting us to the TB 21 yl on a massive run with a follow up to the TB 9 as the fans lose it as another touchdown seems incoming!

Kalzone "The Bomber" with the end zone flirting at only 9 yards finds Nemesis "The Skull" up center and he brings it in to the right side seeing a gap in coverage FOR ANOTHER TOUCHDOWN! HOLYYYY ****! Crowd is popping off again as White Shark aces that extra point for 14-0 HQ!

Volume in the stadium is on blast as we set to kick it off back to Tampa Bay to see if they have any answer to that one...

Tampa Bay gets it back and rushes up field again on a nice run to their 37 yl. They don't seem rattled yet and most of the chirping our boys are doing are having no effect as they maintain focus on the plays getting to their 40 and getting to their 48 yl Aiden Burrough's helmet is knocked loose after a 1st down which finally causes the Corsairs to get in the boys faces but they throw nothing and keep the shoving to a minimum. The altercations take an extended amount of time to settle down but Aiden Burrough is back and up on his feet and avoiding the bs as he secures his 'lid' back on and gets set up talking to QB Francisco Engstrom for the next play.

Pushing to their 45 they are held until 4th down where they manage to get another 1st down to keep it alive at the HQ 41. Atlan Tico gets a deflection in as we force them into another 4th down as the crowd applauds the 'barricade' the boys are putting up as they punt it off back to us again...

Element "The Watchman" snags this one again, deep, getting us to our 16 yl. "The Juice" gets us to the HQ 25 where we're held until 3rd down but Vergil "The Vampire" gets us the first down to the HQ 28 with Bing Lim to our 36.

Maiden Haver keeps the 1st down refresh getting us to the HQ 41 but we are stopped from going further and have to get rid of it as Tampa Bay is holding well still near center field territory.

Tampa Bay pushes up towards center yet again as their return hits the TB 32 yard mark... QB Francisco Engstrom fires a bullet up center but RAND "THE SHADE" HAD EYES ON IT AND IT'S AN...

Crowd fires up again as we swap out lines. Vergil get's us ahead slightly to the TB 35 but we're held there until 4th down so we opt for a FG for 3 pts... White Shark's strike is slightly off though and it's just short... keeping it at 14-0...

Tampa Bay takes over and possessions change a couple more times as the clock winds down for the 1st quarter with neither of us able to get anything going. Tampa Bay has the final possession of the quarter with under 30 secs to go they manage to make some safe plays up field getting to the HQ 28 with irritating 4th down plays getting 1st downs along the way up the field as the quarter comes to an end...HQ end zone in sight..

[ 2nd Quarter ]

Coming out to the 2nd quarter Tampa Bay's offensive line gets back on the field to resume their possession. The boys on defense hold them for a couple plays as the fans get noisy again hoping to see them only get a FG for 3 pts but Aiden Burroughs gets in another run on 3rd down to the HQ 4 yl and HB Richard Vitela muscles one in for a Touchdown, with the extra point good for 7, making it 14-7 as they get an early yet close one as well to start a quarter.

The Corsairs kick it off back to us as Element "The Watchman" gets this one again, only getting to the HQ 18 as Tampa Bay's energy from that last TD gives them a little 'extra' hustle.
Vergil "The Vampire" on a nice play making a juke around his defender gets us to the HQ 25.

With Fin Arfin getting in a 1st down as we push up to the HQ 31, 33 and Maiden Haver to our 35, but despite our push forward we can't keep the momentum going and are held there for a 4th down and have to get rid of it as the fans appear nervous seeing Tampa's focus cut our run short once again...

The Corsairs keep the pressure up with another punt return and huff it up to their 31 yl, 36 and then 40 with J1m "The Mandalorian" and Bertrum Tung getting in some good play stops and swats but Tampa always seems to pull off the 1st down refresh on a 4th down and this time is no different, as Carlos Berk won't be denied as he snatches one out of the air and Tampa Bay is able to tie it up after the extra point is nailed tying it up at 14-14...

The crowd is noticeably quieted down after that one as Tampa Bay changes out lines like a machine and gets right back to business. One of our biggest fans @DagothGeas5 assumes her spot behind the teams sideline after being over on the other side of the field with her usual chirping of the other team and reminds the boys that it's only early, but not to let them get ahead of us, we can't let the champs pull away with this one and yells louder than everyone else around her as there's a few Corsair fans directly behind us and a lot of orange in the stands. With constant encouragement telling them that Tampa is showing signs of nervousness and are willing to take extra risks at 4th downs to not let Kal and the boys get any momentum going. Amongst the quieter fans she stands out and is constant and gets another "GO BOYS GO!" chant going to reup the volume and not let this feed Tampa's momentum as we receeve the kick back to us following that tying touchdown...

After another deep kick, Element "The Watchman" cradles that one in getting to our 19 yl but as he goes down... the hit looks high and it jostles his helmet off. The boys are not fuckin having that, knocking off Element's helm starts a scuffle as the guys rush to him and surround him to get him back on his feet and players pair up and spit some vitriol at each other.

The boys instinctively look over to the sideline from time to time during these altercations at me and I wave the hand calmly, to keep them busy with the head games but no further... not yet. After a few minutes to settle back down and into formation, Kal finds Vergil "The Vampire" for a massive run up to the TB 41 yl which fires up the crowd.

"The Juice" gets in a 1st down to keep the drive alive getting us to the TB 31.

Fin Arfin gets us up to the TB 25 and again to the TB 20 for another 1st down as that end zone draws closer and the crowd can feel it and stay noisy as Kal has a fresh set of downs to work with at 20 yards. Kal fakes a hand off to Stacko Turtles and sees Boon Taker just up left with a nice opening and he blasts one at him....!

Boon Taker snatches that one out of the air and runs it in for A TOUCHDOOOOOOWN! White Shark chomps that extra point and it's 21-14 HQ!

Crowd erupts again as we take back the lead with time winding down in the 2nd. The quarter comes to an end with a couple possession exchanges resulting in stalemates as we have to kick to them after halftime to start the 3rd...

[ 3rd Quarter ]

The boys come out running to start the 3rd quarter as the hype is high in the locker room being up over the champs. Tampa Bay comes out undettered looking still as they get their receiving line out on the field. The kick is sent off high to start the 3rd giving the boys a good amount of time to push down field to keep the return short... Tampa Bay catches it and puts on some slick moves again getting to their 31 yl.

QB Francisco Engstrom goes for a pass just up center right but it's FUMBLED!...A scramble ensues to get hands on it! WHO HAS IT!?

The stadium comes to life again as the commentary is drowned out as we swap out lines with Kalzone "The Bomber" coming out talking to the possible receivers on the way to the scrimmage line. @dagothgeas5 doing her thing again telling the Orange wearing dipshits around her in the stands to STFU as the boys line up with the crowd behind them on the TB 32 yl...

Nemesis "The Skull" dozers one in to the TB 28 and again to the TB 20! Talking some **** to the Tampa Bay defense which causes a minor cluster of aggression with "The Juice" keeping an eye on him and anyone else around thinking to push it further...

Vergil "The Vampire" stalks one in to the TB 15 as the crowd can feel the TD coming...

Kal yells out the play as the crowd is noisy and he gets the snap back..... defense buying him some nice time and he fires one off to Cipher "The Maverick" who LOCKS ON AND BRINGS IT IN OVER THE ENDZONE FOR A TOUCHDOWN!

Cipher looks back at Kal and points at him with some 'finger guns' up as the boys mob him for a touch as the stadium is electric. White Shark DEVOURS that extra point to make it 28-14!

Kicking it off back to the Corsairs they get to their 30 yl and a follow up play to their 45 for a 1st down. They keep with the passing game as they push forward getting to our 41 yl and then again to the 33. They aren't giving up one bit as they keep the pressure on...

They get held at our 33 yl until 4th down this time and it looks like they might go for it again but they opt for a FG this time to cap off the drive as the fans let out a cheer as Tampa Bay's lack of 'just go for it' doesn't happen this time. The FG is good going dead center making it 17-28.

Element "The Watchman" receives the kick yet again going down at our 23 yl. A couple plays later "The Juice" makes a run to what looks like the HQ 33 but they have to measure it again...

It's ruled a 1st down though and Stacko Turtles keeps the 1st down alive with his own run for 13 yards.

We can't get any further though so we kick it off back with under 4 mins to go now in the 3rd. Tampa Bay gets it back and proceeds to make another annoying run upfield, keeping the 1st downs alive for multiple plays getting to their 25,38,49 and becoming stuck at the HQ 39...

Rand "The Shade" gets in a nice swat on Tampa's 2nd down and Lore Gamer on the 3rd to force the 4th down.

The Corsairs get the kicker out again to nab another 3 pts to cap off the drive and the fans are making a lot of noise and in the stands behind the goal posts which may have contributed to it being TOO SHORT AND A DOINK OFF THE MIDDLE CENTER BAR! NO GOOD! Still 28-17.

Under a couple minutes to go now we get it back and make our way out of our side of the field to the HQ 37 with "The Juice" getting us a 1st down to the 47 and Stacko Turtles a short drive to the 42...

Kal goes with the big man again for a nasty run to the TB 21 but something happens on the scrimmage line behind the play as Jordy "The Crow" is slow to get to his hands and knees and needs help getting up. The boys start asking around for who saw anything, eager to have someone to blame and get their hands on some Orange jersey's but after it's replayed, it appears Jordy went down awkwardly to his side after losing footing on a lock up at the D line and it doesn't look targeted. Just a bad tumble. He'll be out for a 1 week with some back pain, but it doesn't look too serious thankfully.

Kal finds Lilbro Jman ( brother ) who gets to the TB 21 and Boon Taker to the TB 12 as a late 3rd quarter TD looks like it might happen with under a minute to go now and the crowd comes alive again hoping for another one. We are held firm until 4th down as TB locks us up at their 12 yl... White Shark comes out to finish off the drive nailing the FG for 3 pts making it 31-17 HQ!

Kicking it back to The Corsairs they get it with 27 secs left and they get to their 28, 31 and a 1st down bomb to the HQ 42 to finish off the quarter...****

[ 4th Quarter ]

The crowd is electric as the boys come back out for the 4th quarter in a run as Tampa Bay jogs out and gets their offensive unit set back up out on the field. With a 1st down to start the 4th, the boys hold them there until 3rd down. They manage to squeek up to the HQ 39 on a 4th down and go for a FG attempt...

It's SHORT THOUGH as they can't keep the focus up and the crowd lets them know as we take over on our 39 yl. Kal comes back out as we go for another drive into the TB side. Vergil "The Vampire" Nemesis "The Skull" and and Fin Arfin get us up to the 41 and over center into the TB 44 and 39 as we keep the pressure on early.

We get White Shark out for a FG attempt but it's just shy of the right post keeping it at 31-17 and Tampa Bay taking over on their 39 yl.

Tampa Bay's offensive line comes out and after being held for 2 downs, QB Francisco Engstrom is able to hold on longer for a good target on his 3rd attempt to make something happen but doesn't spot the defender to his left losing his assignment as MANNY VON CARSTEIN HOMES IN ON HIM AND BRINGS THAT ************ DOWN FOR HIS FIRST SACK BACK!

Tampa expects the taunt and goes towards Engstrom who Manny makes a point of stepping over as he roars at the crowd and flexes the guns low, ignoring Engstrom directly, playing up the crowd. This causes a dust up anyway as they don't like the exaggerated 'step over' and they try to grab at Manny from behind on his jersey but he just keeps moving forward and away from the Corsairs behind him as our boys move in to make some 'greetings' allowing Manny to play up the fans. Nothing major comes of this as the boys are more concerned to beat them up on the scoreboard and pad the numbers now trying to ride the hype.

Tampa Bay gets the punter out after the bs settles down and they boot it off back to us with Oyster Sauce getting it this time before going down on the HQ 28...

Maiden Haver gets in a nice run to keep the 1st down alive to the HQ 37. On the next play during the lock up with our D men, Boon Taker gets to our 41 yl...but... during the 'hold up' at the scrimmage line Acrux "The Stalwart" goes down with his assignment in a bad way as his legs get caught in the tangle of limbs and he's in some pain and can't make it to his feet without help...****...

Once again it doesn't look overly intentional just the heat of the battle causing Acrux to fold badly with the weight of his defender coming down on the leg just too much at just the right angle... but who knows really for sure. He's helped off field by Gerey "The Fuhrer" and Tweed "The Kobold" where he's loaded on a stadium cart and driven out to the back locker rooms with some Medical Staff as he's done for the night...

Fans are noticeably concerned with this as they shout some love at Acrux as he goes into the tunnels and he responds with a thumbs up and chest pat to himself towards them in thanks.

Vergil "The Vampire" gets us to the TB 48 and 43 for a 1st down as we try to keep the boys emotions in check and push downfield to TB's End zone for another one for payback.
"The Juice" refreshes the 1st down getting to the TB 33 with just under 5 mins to go now... Kal finds Vergil "The Vampire" who's able to juke his defender's coverage and gets the legs blurring as he brings it into the Tampa Bay ENDZONE FOR A TOUCHDOOOOOOWN! First TD back from injury! BEAUTY BUDDY!

Crowd is deafening as the boys mob him with some 'congrats pats' and White Shark 'aces' the extra point to make it 38-17!

With the volume maxing out still we kick it off back to The Corsairs with them getting to their 35 yl. Iren Aeus gets a big hit in the very next play as the Corsair player is slow to get up which keeps the place rocking.

Tampa Bay gets up to their 38, being held to only those 3 yards on 4th down. They decide to go for the 1st down instead of punting it off but it fails and we take over on the TB 38!
It's short lived though as they hold us for every **** down with us able to get no where so we're forced to punt it off back...

Wndrbr Boots kick is deep as Tampa Bay goes down at their 11 yl and then 13. They secure the 1st down to their 25 yl and push up to their 31 and 45 for a 1st down yet again with 2:33 to go in the 4th. They push over center to our 40 yl with Rand "The Shade" making another good pass swat. They make a nasty pass up field and it's snagged and brought down at our 18 yl within TD distance. QB Francisco Engstrom calls a timeout and settles his guys down as it's obvious the game is lost at this point and probably telling them to maintain the emotions as this one is a write off for them. After the timeout the stadium is still roaring as time is winding down and Engstrom makes a toss to get a late one into the end zone but ROGUEY "THE STEALTHY" BREAKS THE VOLUME KNOB OFF THE PLACE WITH AN

As we get it back on our 18 yl!


Kalzone "The Bomber" is called back out there with under 2 to go now as the place is next to impossible to hear anything... We push up field on some safe plays and Kal finds Vergil "The Vampire" who makes a stadium rocking run to the TB 28 yl where he lowers the shoulder before going down and fuckin LEVELS the Strong Safety guarding him resulting in an injury for Tampa Bay!

Vergil doesn't taunt at this though, he composes himself and puts the hands on the hips... maybe just gassed a bit after that run or feeling the injury still lingering....


Kal runs the clock a bit as chirping amongst the players is steady now as Kal let's it happen instead of taking the snap, enjoying the **** talking the boys are spewing. He calls for the snap abruptly and sees Vergil "The Vampire" of all people wide open off to the right and feeds him an easy one which he brings in for a late 2nd TOUCHDOWN OF THE NIGHT FOR HIM!!!

Vergil tosses the ball into the crowd past the goal posts. White Shark tops it off with the extra point and it's 45-17 HQ!

Tampa Bay gets it back and instead of taking knees to run the clock they make some plays to get up field anyway to save 'face' I guess with some minor scuffles in between plays resulting in another Tampa Bay minor injury!

QB Francisco Engstrom finally runs the clock out as the stadium is still bumping and the HQ Shitposters take game 1 of 2 for the regular season over the defending Champs 45-17!

Walking off field after the celebrations, Kal keeps an eye on QB Francisco Engstrom vigilantly every few seconds and spots Engstrom across the sidelines holding up 1 finger...
He points down to his wrist as if to point out a 'watch' or 'time. as he mouths some words repeating the motions a couple times...
Kal translates this as " That's the only 1 you're getting... it won't happen next time." The crowd sounds like it's a playoff or championship game as the fans celebrate the win and the boys make their way off field acknowledging the fans near the tunnels and in the stands before heading off to the dressing rooms...

MVP of the game is Vergil "The Vampire".

Was not expecting the game to go that well after it got tied up lol. Being sick I was worried about playing but I guess the game had some 'sick pity' on me and we pulled off the overwhelming victory. Sorry again for the late update but I think it's worth it to cap off this patience testing week. 4-1 BOYS! Staying in Florida, close by for game 6 coming up!

That's the thing with the game, despite the 'stats' and win/loss ratio, sometimes they throw you a curve and the CPU seems above or below their ratings and records, hence the game against the Emeralds where they came back despite being lower rating. That's why I enjoy playing it for that one reason. You might get an 'odd' game where it should be a cakewalk but they put up this heroic 'fight' like a real player or the 'rolls' just don't go your way. Makes it interesting for me every game to see what the CPU decides to throw at me or make me deal with.

Field conditions are wet. Mild Humidity. Afternoon game. Low-moderate wind (5mph-15mph gusts). Rain: Light-Moderate.

Personel moving around on the field and at the entrance tunnels signal to the fans that the team is about to make their entrance as the intro music starts with rumbling sounds over the speaker system. Fans get to their feet and cheer as their boys make their way out onto the field under a steady rain...





The Jacksonville Storm players make their way out onto the field in a run lead by QB Prescott Headley as player introductions are made with the stadium lights flashing like thunder strikes after the player's name and number is announced.

Kalzone "The Bomber" and the boys come out in our 'spear' formation, the 'boos' not so hearable over the rain and music as we set up on our sideline for some last minute talks as the intro music continues. Another rain game has got the boys already in a sour mood but I bring our runners in close and remind them we're probably going to have to go with them for most of the game to combat the visual issues from the rain and wind gusts and give them all a tap on the jerseys and helmets in confidence as the music fades out and the fans rise to stand for the national anthem...





QB Prescott Headley makes his way out to center field first followed by Kalzone "The Bomber" on the opposite side as the fans get a "STORM STORM STORM STORM!" chant going...

A flash overhead lights up the field as Kalzone "The Bomber" looks up into the rain with hands out, palms up as if to say "bring it on Rain", looking back at QB Prescott Headley and using his right hand to smear some eye black he has on, downwards on his cheeks to make his face a more darkened visage.

QB Prescott Headley, states: "Just call it."

Kal looks at the ref briefly and calls 'heads' but starts to walk away before the coin lands for a decision...

Ref states: 'Tails' and QB Prescott Headley says he'll receive as he looks over at Kal, confused, as he's walking away...

Kal simply states over his shoulder: "Expected." as he walks back to the sidelines as our kickers and D men head out onto the field.

White Shark and the boys get out on the field and get lined up with the 'plink' of the rain drops on their helmets in their ears.

White Shark looks left and right down the line as the boys give him a nod. Ref whistles to go ahead, and White Shark runs at the ball and blasts it high into the air to start game 6...

Jacksonville's catcher cradles it in on the kick off and chugs it up to their 26 yl before going down. They secure a 1st down to their 43 and push up to their 45, 48 and again to our HQ 37 to refresh the 1st down as their in prime distance for an early touchdown. Our boys hold them though for all 4 downs so they opt for a FG to end the drive... might have been the rain or the slickness on teh ball but it's no good as it's just short of the middle bar.

We take over on our 37 yl with Boon Taker getting us up to our 41 and Kal even gets in on the runs with 2 of his own to throw Jacksonville off as he brings it in twice with Boon Taker to get to the Jacksonville 28!

Kal finds Boon Taker again on a run to get to the Storm's 14 as Jacksonville has been expecting tosses with their safeties and players spread out which has allowed us to push up quickly as well with the running plays.

Nemesis "The Skull" takes a handoff but can't make any progress and on the next play Kal fakes a handoff again to Nemesis "The Skull" and appears to eye Vergil "The Vampire" far right but fires one up center to an open Boon Taker who runs it in around his defender for a TOUCHDOWN! Extra point is good for 7-0 HQ on our first possession.

Jacksonville gets the kick back getting to their 29 and then 35. They get held at their 38 until 4th down and are forced to kick it off back to us...

We exchange possessions a few times for the rest of the quarter as both our teams make it up field to the 40-50 yl before punting it off back.
This persists for the rest of the quarter as there's nothing much to report as it stays to a stalemate with both of us playing cautiously and navigating the wet conditions as we make very few throwing plays.

The quarter comes to an end with the Storm getting it to their 26 yl.

Rain is steady but not heavy as both teams come out with Jacksonville set to resume possession on their 26 yl. They are held there with some missed passes and runs going nowhere with Roguey "The Stealthy" swatting one down to force the 4th down before they punt it off...

Oyster Sauce catches the punt off on a nice run up to our 41 yl with "The Juice" getting to the 46 yl and Vergil "The Vampire" making a couple to get over center field to the Jacksonville 46.

Once again the game stays uneventful as we exchange possessions with both sides getting some notable plays in but ultimately falling short with HB Joseph Sprang being a running nuisance during every Jacksonville possession. Things finally get a rise out of the crowd as States Man gets in a sack on QB Prescott Headley and Lord Rumbles takes down HB Joseph Sprang on a run up middle left and dislodges his helm which causes the tempers to flare.

Nothing major takes place as the game is close and every possession feels like it could be a promising drive so it doesn't escalate beyond some face to faces and minor shoving.
They boot it off once again after the scuffle settles down.

One play of note on our possession was a toss from Kalzone "The Bomber" up left to Cipher "The Maverick" who's double covered and the ball is bobbled and deflected around in the air where Ninety Eight catches it on the HQ 31!

On that same possession Kal makes one of very few tosses way down field to a wide open Tanner "The Juice" but either due to the rain in the face or soggy footing it's JUST out of reach of "The Juice" as we've been having to deal with wind and rain bs the entire time... that one would have been a beauty...****.

We have to kick it off after that as we get held until 4th down. Possessions exchange 3 **** times each with Lord Rumbles working overtime as he seems to be excelling in the wet weather this game...

The quarter comes to an end with Jacksonville getting to our 14 yl and going for a FG which is good for 3 making it 7-3. They kick it off back to us and we safely make it up to the HQ 29 to end the quarter as they'll have to kick to us anyway for 3rd quarter...

Coming out after halftime for the 3rd quarter the rain is still steady, re-soaking the boys as we make our way to our sideline. Oyster Sauce has a chat with Element "The Watchman" briefly for who will get this one and Element tells him he's good to go as the finger seems okay now with no issues anymore.

The Storm kick it off to us to start the 3rd and Element "The Watchman" gets it to the HQ 28. We get pushed back though as the Storm are holding fast pushing us back to the HQ 16 and we have to send it off early without gaining any ground which invigorates the crowd as their team gets it back early with some relief knowing we aren't on a dangerous forward drive to start the quarter off...

Wndrbr Boots gets out there to kick one off which goes rather deep as the wind died down at just the right time... the crowd get an "OH ****" moment as the punt returner can't get hands on the ball securely and it's FUMBLED briefly before being recovered and it's brought up field with Jacksonville getting to our 45 yl though on a nasty return.

On the next play with the crowd fired up after that impressive punt return, Rienen "The Ursus" sniffs out HB Joseph Sprang on a run up middle and barrels over him keeping the running play at 0 yards gained with Sprang's helm coming off. This causes a flare up again in tempers as a few of the boys lockup with the Storm with Rienen "The Ursus" backing away with his hands up not wanting to go any further and just let's it be. Emotions are kept in check still as the Storm call for some consequences on that one but Rienen insists it wasn't a high hit. Replay shows it was 50/50, could go either way... The crowd is upset with this but nothing is handed out as it's inconclusive and play resumes a few minutes later with QB Prescott Headley lining his guys up to resume the next down.

The crowd is buzzing a bit now as the play is set and the snap is made... QB Prescott Headley feeds Joseph Sprang one again for a run and Rand "The Shade" locks on to him this time causing Sprang's helm to come lose yet again! This starts another dust up but I yell out to not do anything, with Kal shouting at the ref's while grabbing at his helm strap to " CHECK HIS F*CKING STRAP!" as we think it's too coincidental it's constantly coming off as they're trying to pull some bs now for penalties. The ref's actually check Sprang's helmet strap and tell him to make sure it's tight and secure and to give them a demonstration of him tugging at it lightly and moving it around. They determine the clasp is either acting up or some nonsense is going on and tell him to swap it out or take a seat and get it 'fixed' somehow. This delay gives both sides a few mins to rest up as the scuffle amounts to nothing with the crowd agitated believing it's on 'us' somehow and 'booing' at the lack of penalties handed out to our side.

They got stalled on our 39 yl on a 4th down and go for a FG to cap off their drive... we're protected again as it's just wide left and NO GOOD, keeping it at 7-3 HQ...

The fans are not happy about this as they feel some 'injustice' was done and they boo loudly as we get ready to take over on our 39 yl.

On the first play of our takeover on our 39 Kal finds Nemesis "The Skull" who tanks it out field hugging the right as he's chased by 4 Storm players before finally going down as one of them gets some hands on him bringing him down on the Jacksonville 16 yl!

Vergil "The Vampire" gets us to the JAX 15 and Boon Taker to the JAX 11. Kal tosses one up center where it's BOBBLED IN THE ENDZONE but Ninety Eight can't get the mitts on it to the fans relief...

We go for a FG and White Shark comes out, aces it for 3 pts making it 10-3 HQ.

Kicking it off back to Jacksonville they snag it and get to their 24 with a 1st down run to their 42. They're halted for a couple plays but QB Prescott Headley makes a long bomb up center left where it's caught and the receiver goes down at the HQ 33 yl. The crowd fires up as they can feel a touchdown coming and they following up that toss getting to our 26 and 22.
The boys wall up and hold them until 4th down on this drive and they pop a FG in for 3 for 6-10 HQ.

Nothing comes of our next possession as we have to boot it back deep in our zone at our 21 yl. The crowd is amped up as Jacksonville isn't calling it quits yet as they keep their own 'wall up' to us...

They are able to chug it upfield barely keeping the 1st down alive to our 25 yl... HB Joseph Sprang makes a crowd volume upping run to our HQ 6 yl with under 2 mins to go in the 3rd quarter...

The crowd is feverish now as their team is within spitting distance for a go ahead score. QB Prescott Headley finds a receiver up center left and he snags it, bringing it in to the end zone for a touchdown... The extra point is good making it 13-10 JAX as they take the lead late in the 3rd...

Element "The Watchman" getting the kick back and getting to our 19 yl is followed up by Vergil "The Vampire" getting to our 27 and Fin Arfin securing a 1st down at our 38. Time runs out just after a FUMBLE at the 40 yl... but Bob Tee recovers it back and keeps our possession of it as the fans are loud seeing an almost turnover to end the quarter...

Coming out to the 4th quarter the rain hasn't let up at all but nor has it increased either as we get the boys set up on the 40 yl as everyone starts to get re-soaked for a fourth time as we're hoping to retake the lead...

Kalzone "The Bomber" takes the snap and fires a quick one over to "The Juice" but Jacksonville knows we're sticking to the running game well now and they got the big man covered as they know if he gets going he's going to be hard to bring down and they keep it away from him with double coverage... Kal runs the clock a bit and makes a last second play adjustment with the boys shifting around looking like it's going to be a run going right and he calls for the snap... he looks over right as if he's going to lob one up field to Cipher "The Maverick" but pivots to face left hoping the real target is open and where he needs to be and lets one loose... it finds the hands of Vergil "The Vampire" who digs in deep and fires up the afterburners up left field!

He has 2 safeties to deal with in the back but he gets ahead of one and times a stiff arm at just the right moment while balancing on the out of bounds line to stay in and BRINGS IT ALL THE WAY UP FIELD DIVING INTO THE END ZONE FOR A TOUCHDOWN!

Getting it back after the kick, Jacksonville gets to their 28 yl following it up with Sprang getting them to the 34. QB Prescott Headley's LONG bomb toss up field gives Xenich "The Ashen" plenty of time to position himself for the swat down stopping that nasty 40+ yarder from being completed. They punt it off after we hold them for a 4th down.

The player gets to our 24 yl which fires up the fans as they're deep now within touchdown range rather quickly...

As the defensive and offensive units swap out, I tell the boys going back out on D that we have plenty of time still but to watch for a desperate toss up center as that seems to be their preferred spot so our safeties need to stay a little tighter and keep their assignments close... Roguey "The Stealthy" and Lord Rumbles have a nod at each other, Lord Rumbles' confidence high as he's been having a great game, I send him off with a tap on the helmet.

Jacksonville is able to push up on a couple plays to the HQ 24 with Manny von Carstein getting in a tackle on a runner...

Jacksonville looks like they contemplate going for it anyway but get the kicker out for a FG...which is good for 17-16 HQ as they pull closer to within 1 to end their drive...

The crowd is invigorated again as their kicker comes out to send off back to us after that successful FG. The kick catches the wind and it's deep to our 1 yl as Element "The Watchman" catches it and hustles his way up to our 23 yl. Vergil "The Vampire" is able to get us up to our 26 and Bob Tee to the HQ 31 on a 4th down but we have to punt it off as Jacksonville keeps us locked down...

We hold Jacksonville after they get it back to their 26 yl and have to return it to us on their 31... Vergil "The Vampire" makes an impressive run up right for a notable play but once again... we can't capitialize on the momentum and have to kick it off on 4th down after getting to the Jacksonville 43...

The Storm get to their 18 and a 1st down to their 30 with Sprang still resilient and chugging the ball on plays, taking hits along the way but always getting back up. After getting to their 32 we stall them for a couple plays with their D collapsing on the 4th down as FOUR of our guys rush the quarterback to bring him down! Manny von Carstein's hunger is greater though as he's first to get hands on QB Prescott Headley bringing him down for a sack!

No scuffles take place after this though as both teams avoid the face to faces, perhaps due to the close score or the weather conditions but Manny gets in a roar and flex to the fans anyway which causes a chorus of 'boos' as Manny bares the fangs and high fives Rienen "The Ursus" and Rand "The Shade" who are nearby as he racks up another sack on the stats...

Jacksonville gets the punter out as time is winding down and the crowd becomes restless to send it off back to us...

Oyster Sauce gets the mitts on this one and jukes his way up field to our 36 yl. We follow up getting to our 41 and Vergil "The Vampire" getting us a 1st down on the JAX 47 with 2:20 to go in the 4th Quarter.

Boon Taker gets us to the JAX 42 and again for a 1st down on the JAX 36. Crowd is nervous as this feels like it might be a touchdown...Kal looks over to me and I motion at the wrist to run the clock a bit, confident he can get us in for 1 more...

Kal takes the snap and fakes a handoff and lobs one up center right to Boon Taker again and he CHUGS IT IN FOR A TOUCHDOOOOOOOWN!

Crowd is deflated at this as they know it's over as Boon Taker and the boys exchange some hugs and the guys on the sideline with me celebrate as it feels like it's 'wrapped up' now with that touchdown and extra point.

Kicking it back to Jacksonville with only 1:01 to go, they get to their 35 yl and again to the HQ 49 just over center field but with 3 secs to go, QB Prescott Headley's toss leads to an INTERCEPTION BY ATLAN TICO ON OUR 37 YL!

With the time expired as Atlan Tico just slides out to stop the play we secure the game 6 win over the Jacksonville Storm 24-16!

Game was a boring one for the first half or so, with a lot of punts and exchanges on this one as it was a bit hard to write up and give it some 'life' but it had some good moments with the bobbles and fumbles. 5-1 boys. I didn't remember to get the MVP though, busy week so I'm not sure who it was sorry.

Fans rise to their feet as the display boards around the stadium begin to flash blue and yellow with the Blues being introduced to the field by the stadium announcer as their entrance music starts...





The Chicago Blues make their way out onto the field with Chicago Blues flags and team colored banners waving in the wind by personnel on both sides of their entrance.
QB Darius Colosi comes out last behind some of his Offensive Linemen as they run their way to the sidelines.

Kal comes out with the boys shortly after making their way to our sideline. The fans are mostly hyped for their team with very little interaction with us on the way out as they're coming off a nice win last week from Las Vegas so welcoming them back home after a decisive win drowns out any 'boo's for us when we enter.

Both teams quiet down as the music fades and the announcer requests fans please stand and remove hats for the national anthem...





Following the anthem, QB Darius Colosi and QB Kalzone "The Bomber" make their way to the 50 yard line for the 'oh so lovely' coin toss...

QB Darius Colosi meets Kal's stare and acts first with a 'shiver' motion rubbing his arms with the opposite hands as if to warm himself which gets a few cheers from the crowd.
Kal calls 'heads' and walks away yet again before the coin toss has completed saying: "We'll be kicking." as he motions White Shark out expecting the 'tails' as the wind is blowing South so Chicago would want that against us...
Coin lands on 'tails' ( of course it does, you know it does )
Chicago Blues will receive the ball to start the match.

White Shark and our receiving lineup assume their familiar positions on our side of the field as the ref sounds the 'chirp' of the whistle and White Shark barrels down on the ball and drills it high into the setting sun sky to start Game 7...

Sorry for the lack of flavor posts boys, nearing end of busy season so it's busy last couple months with work orders/bs before the real cold weather kicks in. I wanted to make some posts about that Tampa win and the last game but **** always comes up, trying my hardest to keep schedule.

Home 'early' for once in the last couple weeks. Working on finishing the action write up now, hopefully get it done tonight before I deal with some job paperwork and e-mails. Rocking some bangers to help with the write up now. We're almost halfway through the season and it's a bit of a chore but despite the busy schedule and lack of time for hobbies and such like this LP I thank TMH for the work. Better to be busy than nothing at all and 'needing'. Hope you are well and in good 'spirit'. 1 more game to go after this before it's a week break for "Bye Week". ( In football, a "bye week" refers to a scheduled week during the regular season when a team does not play a game, providing a break for rest, recovery, and strategic preparation.)

Come on now man lol... not every body gets highlights. You've been good on here, The boys on D don't get many highlights if at all. I can 'feel' it though in game when someone is down on our Defense. You are part of the reason we are doing as good as we are I assure you. Game doesn't show love to the guys holding up the opposing team on the scrimmage line and you're not that 'old'.
