Urban Chaos: Riot Response is a good one, I think it would do well with a PC port. Has a lot of fun interactions.
(I'm just grabbing the first video from yewtoob, don't blame me if you don't like the person)

I really liked the two Mercenaries games on PS2/PS3. Besides that I'd also like to see the first 4 Ratchet & Clanks, Ape Escape 3, Haunting Ground, and Clock Tower 3 get PC ports
Very fun. You can even play it coop. Why doesn't every turn based game with multiple characters have coop? It is a mystery.
A lot of great games were ported.
I have a soft spot for PS2 Shinobi, though incredibly difficult, wouldn't have the patience for it now. I didn't know it had a sequel in Nightshade otherwise I would have given that a spin.
Also liked Tenchu Wrath of Heaven and Fatal Shadows, fun stealth action games, though FS increased the balance and difficulty a bit too much for my liking. Young Adult Roguey was incredibly amused by the English shitpost-dub they included for all three character paths in Wrath of Heaven, disappointed with its absence in Fatal Shadows since it gives a reason to replay.
I liked the PS2 ports of Liberty City Stories and Vice City Stories well enough, too bad they were still constrained by the memory limitations of the PSP (e.g. no radio station persistence).
Never had the opportunity to play Ico, but I liked Shadow of the Colossus, nice puzzle-bosses.

4th Gen Armored Core being trapped is a ******* travesty. 4 has issues, but they were all fixed in the sequel. Both of these games were directed by Dark Souls director Miyazaki, and it shows.

There's probably hundreds.
Everything from Soul Reaver 2 to Steel Battalion to Mario Super Strikers to Ikaruga.

I'm loving your threads recently. So many games I forgot about or haven't heard of coming to light.
PS2: FF10, FF12 (original version not Zodiac Age demaster), Sakura Wars V, Star Wars Battlefront 2. Borderline inclusion: Suikoden 3 and 5 because they are 50+ hours long and not as tight as the earlier games.
Gamecube: Pokémon Battle Revolution, Mario Kart Double Dash
Xbox: Blazing Angels, and that motorbike game I forgot the name of
Gameboy Advance: Pokémon Sapphire, Sonic Advance
PS3: Final Fantasy XIII
Wii: Xenoblade 1 (N3DS port), Sakura Wars V, some of those Wii sports games I remember being pretty fun. Borderline inclusion: Pokemon Battle Revolution. It looked neat and the double battles were fun, but there was neither a campaign like in the gamecube Colosseum games nor the ability to pick from a huge roster like in the N64 Stadium games.
DS: Final Fantasy Tactics Advance 2 (the best Tactics series game IMO), Pokémon Black & White, Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Explorers of Sky
PSP: Trails series, didn't get PC ports until a decade later.

This was one of the first games my wife and I played couch coop, a big reason we kept buying consoles (to find more couch coop). Rarely equaled, never surpassed.Oyster Sauce wrote: ↑ October 13th, 2025, 15:15Very fun. You can even play it coop. Why doesn't every turn based game with multiple characters have coop? Rusty, you really should emulate this yesterday, it's good.

The xbawks/360 got a bunch of nip games, despite all the attempts to pander to Japan it never took off tho.
This one is supposed to be pretty good.

Ninja Gaiden Black and the OG Ninja Gaiden II are the best versions of each game, but both are stuck on console. Instead PC gets the inferior sigma versions.

Dark Cloud/Chronicle are fantastic niche RPGs that are trapped on the PS2. They emulate very well though, so at least they're preserved.

I think Dreamcast is probably my favorite console as far as 'unique games I never got to play' goes, saturn is second.

God Hand is the best single player fighting game to ever come out. You need to play this if you've not.

Added to backlog. I love the Yakuza franchise, so this looks right up my alley.CornCake wrote: ↑ October 17th, 2025, 05:48God Hand is the best single player fighting game to ever come out. You need to play this if you've not.

Duty. Country. Family.
A lesser known RPG that's trapped on 360, it's decent without being too long. Back when Square still allowed it's studios to experiment.

If you've ever played the Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance games and wished for more, the studio actually made two more of them in the Everquest universe, but Sony has left them stuck on PS2.

Return to Arms is the better of the two, but both are enjoyable. RIP Snowblind Studios.

Resistance, Insomniac's other game series during their golden era. All 3 games are great single player shooters, all trapped on the PS3. These were popular in Scotland, probably because it had England being destroyed

PS2
Metal Gear Solid 2 and 3
Final Fantasy X (and X-2 if you can deal with a ridiculous tone and story for some of the finest turn based jrpg combat ever and cute girls with sexy outfits)
Shadow of the Colossus
SOCOM US Navy Seals 1 and 2
Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2 (though hard to recommend because I don't care for the direction the rest of the series goes in. 1 is an amazing game overall and 2 is worth playing for the gameplay even if the story loses me)
Ratchet and Clank 1-4 - 2 and 3 are especially amazing imo
Gamecube
Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes - I don't care what anyone says, it's kino. It's not a replacement for MGS1 by any means but it's essential for fans of it imo and I have no idea what the **** peoples problem with it is
I didn't play much GC other than that. Most of my playtime was FFTA on the Gamecube GBA adapter
Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn
Xbox
Fable (though the TLC PC port is probably the definitive way to go now, most of my time with it was the original Xbox version)
Ninja Gaiden 1 and 2
6th gen Multiplats
Peak of sports games during this era, at least NFL and NHL. Can't go wrong with especially Madden 04 through 07
Burnout 3 Takedown
Need for Speed Most Wanted
Tony Hawks Pro Skater 3 and Underground especially. 4 is still pretty good too
Resident Evil 4
X360
Lost Odyssey
Gears of War 1 and 2
Crackdown 1 and 2
PS3 and Wii I didn't get into much. I played MGS4 and ****** around with the Wii casually but never touched any of their other exclusives

ACE COMBAT. The best casual flight sim combat game series, with the best 3 of them all coming out in a single generation on a single console. A true travesty that Bamco has left them to flounder on the PS2, but at least the PCSX2 community has made sure they emulate well. 6 is trapped on the 360, along with REDACTED STEAMING SHITE, leaving 7 as the only game that the publisher cares about. If you've played 7 at all, you owe it to yourself to play these.

There's a very highly rated xbox 360 exclusive metroidvania named Shadow Complex, anyone played it?

The main character's wench gets napped, and you can just leave in the car you started the level in. The cutscene for it is a knee slapper.
Good game that had a decent budget compared to modern indievania slop. Need to replay it now that it's remastered.

I believe this was the first game that was given away on the Epic game store. Anyway, I played it and it is better than you would expect.rusty_shackleford wrote: ↑ October 19th, 2025, 02:40There's a very highly rated xbox 360 exclusive metroidvania named Shadow Complex, anyone played it?
