A nice bonus for the Rathound Regalia that isn't mentioned in the item description is Rathounds will consider you friendly. Makes exploring caves less time consuming.

Just don't forget to take it off before visiting Camp Hathor. I paired the regalia with a pair of tabis to get around faster.

Finished Depot A.
The OP sniper build that I was following made it very easy, since every fight was me taking out lone targets from stealth before crawling into the vents to reload and reappear someplace else. The mines and bear traps allowed to me take out everything outside. Making a mutated dog run through a couple of mines to get stuck in a bear trap to then get a molotov thrown at it was very effective, if a bit sad.
I really don't like killing dogs in this game. They look adorable and make the saddest yelp when they die.

Man, the gang war for the Junkyard was more of a hassle than Depot A. Mostly because Dockmaster Whatshisface kept dying and/or the Black Eels kept aggroing after intentionally walking into a blazing ******* inferno that I set with a molotov.
Had to reload a save at least 6 times.
I see now why the game doesn't have a party system, considering how ******* ******** the allied NPCs are.

Done. Shotgun crit build op.

6/10. Game is a homework copy meme of Fallout 1 and goes on too long. Only an autist could enjoy this.

The CAU lead has a unique line if you already have what he wants when he gives you the first part of the gas mission. I always love stuff like that.

I think pretty much every quest that requires you to bring stuff has a thing like that. I raided a warehouse for an energy device needed to disable plasma walkers that patrol Buzzer's house before visiting Myles, and when he gave me that quest I said "heh i already have your mcguffin with me".

I'm planning on joining the Free Drones because the sniper build says their equipment is better.
I might change my mind if they're really as annoying as it sounds.

That train was crucial for Rail Crossing. Whatever their reasons, the Free Drones are just one more group of bandits infesting Underrail.

So, for those who've actually played Underrail before, any tips? Any skills/stats/feats not worth investing in?

I see there are a few themes in the character portraits reminiscent of faction colors and looks, any clues or info on those?
Normally I'd say this is cheating, but you can easily create a build that doesn't work on normal difficulty and requires a restart, so yes you probably should look up a build in advance.

Too bad miniguns suck in Underrail, not to mention how poorly thought-out the game is to take into account your need for ammunitions. Good luck running around for minutes searching for ammo lol.

They're too heavy, have some weird special conditions for shooting, and you can only fire them once per round. The 9mm Rachet LMG is the big gun of choice.

I don't like fishing in this game because there's no audio cue for when the fish is biting. You have to focus instead of zoning out and just clicking when you hear it going off.
And there should be a cooking system. What's the ******* point of catching dozens of Pentapuses and gathering hundreds of mushrooms if I can't make them into the awesome Pentapus Barbecue that increases the carry capacity by 25? What's the point of killing all these Hoppers and gathering their meat if I can't make a steak out of it?
Tuning up fishing and adding cooking would make this game much more enjoyable than it already is.
