I've seen zero creative changes made when Saudis have taken control of other companies, doubt anything will change.
I don't know. We are already seeing stuff like this:

Having multiple plans to pick from is just confusing. Microsoft should know this, it's crazy how much knowledge has been lost in such a short time.

MS wants to kill xbox, but in a roundabout way so they wouldn't be blamed for intentionally killing it.

MS is full of *****, so pricing increase along with service quality decline was inevitable. That's their entire playbook.

The real price of gamepass to not lose money is probably significantly higher than that
I just can't believe that.
Obviously I'd need access to the data they have, but they're clearly not happy with how it's going.
I suspect a large portion of subscriptions are probably locked in, it's known that people forget and/or are less likely to unsubscribe(vs hesitancy to subscribe) when fees go up.
Not really, a lot of people are cancelling their monthly subscritpion and boycotting Xbox. People can become very motivated to stop paying money when they are ****** off.

What would be an "apocalyptic backlash?" They can't really leverage their skills or competence at creating video games since the company is a shell of it's former self.

They currently have soccer and gay kissing. Getting rid of gay kissing is a step in the right direction.

Caninophile (-2 pts)
Every time the character tries to harm a dog (only dogs smaller than him count, doesn't include werewolves, direwolves and canine anthropomorphs, cyberdogs are at GMs discretion), treat it as if the dog had a fear ability (character has to roll morale or skip a turn pondering in despair). He may spend willpower to autopass the fear check, this pass lasts a scene. Every dog counts separate.

every game has 'hitstop' now for no reason, it looks dumb

it was fine in certain cinematic action games, but now it's just overused

I was thinking about an old game called Magic Sword that I think is pretty underrated, and I came across this hilarious japanese box art. Not sure if I should post it here or in The Jew Thread. Lots of entertaining details in here if you look closely.

Then for comparison, we have the SNES art, which just goes full He-Man and isn't nearly as entertaining:

I rented this game several times back in the day and it was a lot of fun. The formula would work really well for a roguelike sequel.

He's correct, I don't even need to purchase their games to be 'allowed' to celebrate their layoffs.

Look at how often Bioware games come up in the AG. The caretakers of the cash cow decided to starve it.

You're right, the Japanese art is hilarious but is so much better. The SNES cover art is very uninspiring, particularly the hero and the villain, the woman is ok. But it looks so boring while the other, while not my favorite style still has so much more personality.

Had to look up what 'hitstop' is. There have been some interesting uses for it in fighting games, but I do remember not liking it in Zelda: Wind Waker though. It felt less like an increase to the impact and more that the game had just locked-up on every hit.

An unpleasant sensation.

Wind Waker hitstop is a great example of the imitators doing something 'more' without understanding why it was liked. And then it sells well so you have further copiers who measure it frame-by-frame thinking that is the ideal.

Little Nightmares 3 reviews are dropping and thoughts appear to be mixed. From what I read it is over all weaker then 1 and 2. One element I do want to bring up is the original 2 games had allusions to Japan as Spirited Away was a major source of inspiration for the original. Things like the main antagonist of the first game being a geisha and the final level being a Japanese restaurant to architecture and clothing and the gibberish language they use are all meant to be reminiscent of stuff from Japan. That's all gone now. The literal second Tarsier left the IP to do their own thing Bandai tossed all of those elements out for mass appeal and made one of the 2 new mcs a little black kid and the other a red haired girl that looks like that live action abomination from cowboy bepop adaptation on Netflix. It's very frustrating to see a series I liked as it was a breath of fresh air from the usual horror slop get subverted the second it switches hands. Besides the MC's it'll take viewing the whole game to see if they added more woke elements or not.
