The commander is a faceless entity meant to be the player. But yes, they should have let us create are squad leaders. I guess they were lazy about providing customization options and just decided to push for the diversity trash. A real shame, really.

If what you say about the gameplay is true, and I'm inclined to believe based on how good Battle Brothers is, then this is a game is a prime candidate for a BASED & REDPILLED mod striking out all women, homosexuals and people of the wrong color.

I don't trust the game developers since as you say it's already in EA and it's pozzed to Oblivion. The woke garbage is really awful, as you say, and very dated (pre-Nov 2024).

Obviously I'd need access to the data they have, but they're clearly not happy with how it's going.
I suspect a large portion of subscriptions are probably locked in, it's known that people forget and/or are less likely to unsubscribe(vs hesitancy to subscribe) when fees go up. So they'll just slowly boil the frog until they see a net profit decrease where more people are unsubscribing than is recouped by increase in costs.

This is despite them constantly stating it's "profitable", but like near any data from subscription services I don't believe it in the least — it's all manipulated to hell and back.
The insistence upon it being profitable is going to shoot themselves in the foot with price hikes, obviously.

Moviepass operates at a loss and is funded out of pocket by a guy. It's a bundle scheme trying to stall for the movie industry. Similarly, in spite of there being a Youtube subscription, Youtube has never been profitable. These huge services are kept open for reasons other than purely profit. And why do you think Netflix and Gamepass have tried to stay tight lipped about the exact numbers shows and studios get? It's opaque because they are trying to obfuscate what's really going on and who the real decision makers are and speculation about their motives. If the situation was good then they would be transparent with the breakdowns.

As for GamePass, it's really easy. 35 million subscribers x $20 per month is - at most - $700,000,000 in subscription revenue per month. Probably a lot less than that given that there are multiple different tiers of gamepass (ie $10). The question then becomes whether or not $700,000,000 per month is able to fund the monthly development of all of these games or how it is being distributed.

The only changes, if anything, that the Saudi's will make is doing anything to generate profit, which inevitably means you can't keep hiring useless feminists and ******** to burn your capital making trash that isn't selling to justify the cost you put into its production. To a leftist, this is a political attack. Again, foreign influence via financial control is still a net negative for us, but yes, it's likely the changes to be made won't be political in nature, it's simply to re-establish profit margins.
