In all the years I've been discussing RPGs I don't think I've ever seen one person mention this game. I've been aware of it, but I've never played it.
Has anyone here actually played it?

It has been a while, but it is more of an action/console like game with AD&D character development.
I guess it is ok if you like that, but it was such change from the original systems that it didn't do as well.
You should really setup a system with ExoDOS, you can install and play these games on the fly very quickly.

@rusty_shackleford , have you ever toyed with DOSBox emulation through a web browser?
I have always wondered about setting up this on my server and running ExoDOS over the local network through a web interface where you could browse the library, do a quick on demand install and play it through the browser using js-DOS API.
I wonder how this would work over the internet as well.

I think there are a few sites that already do what you are talking about: https://classicreload.com/shard-of-spring.htmlXenich wrote: ↑ October 1st, 2025, 13:20@rusty_shackleford , have you ever toyed with DOSBox emulation through a web browser?

I bought a copy from GOG when I picked up the other classic D&D games... but I haven't had time to try it yet.
Looks like it was developed by the same company that made Entomorph.
