My villain origin story is that this all happened because 365 days ago someone refused to institute a clear tie-breaker policy. You have ~10 hours to drum up two votes. I hope you can do it. Might even get us over the vote total from last October.

I firmly believe ties are detrimental to the AG program. And that drama like this is good for it.CornCake wrote: ↑ September 30th, 2025, 18:18Mate I'm not angry at the game getting picked, I'm just hating because **** you and your extra voteJ1M wrote: ↑ September 30th, 2025, 18:12My villain origin story is that this all happened because 365 days ago someone refused to institute a clear tie-breaker policy. On months with fewer votes, ties are somewhat common. I was expecting the first time I exercised the tie-breaker function that it would spark debate like it is now. If you can suggest a better objective tie-breaking mechanism I'd be willing to give up my role as tie breaker in future polls.
Thanks for reminding me of why I stopped participating in this ****.
The role was conferred to me by @Oyster Sauce on January 1st, 2025.Tweed wrote: ↑ September 30th, 2025, 18:19Welcome to JAG, where they come up with ******** rules on the spot to get what they want.CornCake wrote: ↑ September 30th, 2025, 18:18Mate I'm not angry at the game getting picked, I'm just hating because **** you and your extra voteJ1M wrote: ↑ September 30th, 2025, 18:12

I liked that there was a tie last October. It was fun!

Fun is a buzzword.
Buzzwords are fun, too!
Having someone as a tie-breaker is fine as it's fast. I can suggest to do a new poll with only tied options. I don't know if a second poll can be done in the same topic though. It will also delay the start of the game month so that's a drawback.J1M wrote: ↑ September 30th, 2025, 18:25If you can suggest a better objective tie-breaking mechanism I'd be willing to give up my role as tie breaker in future polls.
Technically, my role is to break the tie in any direction for an arbitrary reason. My vote counting for 2 wouldn't make sense if I voted for the last place game.CornCake wrote: ↑ September 30th, 2025, 17:48I thought his vote counted for 2 in the case of a tie?Acrux wrote: ↑ September 30th, 2025, 17:32It would be so funny if this month ends in a tie again, and J1M created the problem he intended to destroy.

Mission accomplished! This was the most active AG poll since last October. Well-played to @Tweed and others, who scraped up a huge number of votes on short notice. I'll be stepping away from vote trading and other shenanigans once I pay back @logincrash next month, but I hope others will continue to make things interesting one way or another.
