@DecadeRiptide what did you think about The Mandalorian? I kinda feel like my criticisms might have shut down the conversation, but I am interested to hear points things I might not have thought about. These days on the internet it seems that there is a tendency for people to avoid talking about the things they like for fear of ridicule and I don't want to be part of that. So threads usually become about how much stuff sucks.

I liked the premise of digging into Mandalorian culture, but it was obvious that the usual suspects would ruin it quite quickly by falling into obvious traps (too much focus on the puppet, taking off the helmet, lots of filler (which is not the same thing as episodic adventures), stakes that were too high, introducing too many Mandalorians, and then deciding to make them fight each other, locations only serving as nostalgia bait).

It's very clear nobody had a 5-year plan for the show.

For those of you willing to watch whatever nonsense they are making these days, you should just go play this game instead:

It is astounding. From what I have heard, game studio execs want to hear what is your next 3 to 5 year plan when you pitch a live service game to them.

Disney dumped 4 billion USD on this Lucasfilm purchase. You would think that Iger would have ordered Kennedy to come to a meeting and lay out plans for what the sequel trilogy would have been rather than letting Abrams make up the first film with no idea what would happen in the second and third films. You'd think it'd be pretty easy to draw up outlines over a few weeks before pouring billions in production and marketing and manufacturing of toys. Last I check there had still been no proof that Disney has turned a profit on their Lucasfilm acquisition.

It's the classic women mindset. They did have a plan. The plan was called "the Force is female". That's it. KK actually believes all the feminist lies people say about her. She thinks she has any talent and that the world is Reddit. Just look at the Acolyte, or stuff like Sweet Baby Ink and the like. She thought the goyim would just pay for everything as long as it had the Star Wars logo and the rest would come because everyone is a redditor woketard feminist in her mind.

To this day, she still believes she is all that. Either the chuds are a minority and everyone really wants feminist agenda or the chuds review bombing can actually affect the reception of their propaganda pieces.

Star Wars has been dead since before Disney played necromancy with its corpse but when they did and decided to create their "new" canon and throw away the EU, then it should have been more than obvious to anyone that Star Wars was truly dead and gone forever.

I am still mad - there were two separate teams working on a sequel, one making an Imperial Commando game, and the other a gay Rebel one, and they were waiting to see which one would have been picked for the sequel.

The canceled Rogue Squadron sequel also had a full Imperial campaign planned.

Pretty much the only Star Wars related thing I still have any hope for is the TIE Fighter Total Conversion project.
