Does the human phenotype mod even work with the current game version? I saw that the one on basedmods was ancient and assumed it would have long needed an update.

I think the gender selection is for the specific leader, not the entire species. But I haven't played Stellaris in a while.

Launched my old pirated copy and you're right.

There's no way to restrict just leader or specific types of leader to certain genders though, it's your species as a whole or your starting leader.

I found a way to do it in text editing but I'm not sure about doing it myself.

Just pretend that the pops represent families, which are (obviously) led by men.
