Isn't the woman shouting his name all shrill his lover? The one weeping at his grave? I can't remember. If so you might wanna keep her as is. Otherwise I'll have to make No alphabet DGB
Yeah from https://bg3.wiki/wiki/Meygan: If visiting the Last Light Inn, Karrow can be found mourning Yonas on a rocky ledge south of the docks. If Meygan survives the ambush, she is also kneeling before Yonas' shrine. Speaking with her reveals she had developed feelings towards Yonas, but he lost his life before she could confess to him.
Speaking to her also grants the Tragic Love (Acolyte Background) Inspiration.
The camera focuses on the neck sometimes instead of the face and I'd say the skin is still too dark but so far this is fantastic progress, great job!
I don't handle the cosmetics end of the business, I just kind of whip something together to see what the character looks like as a man, and that they don't move in a feminine manner. Lucky for us, all the female characters that need correcting are trying to cosplay as men.
Will this mod also change the clothes/armours that are worn? Lassandra definetely has a different one here in this clip, not completely sure about the others.
Speaking for myself, I hope you guys don't change them at all or at least not much, as I think this has quite the danger of "modders getting too enthusiastic" and making changes they subjectively like, but many other people probably won't.
It's not making me not use the mod, but for example Realms Reborn also went a bit far with some of its changes, even if well-intentioned.

I'm not sure dude. Haven't you've been quite allergic to us changing the "vanilla vision" since RR came out? Personally, I'm really not a fan of the idea De-Girlboss just being a soulless body swap mod. I'd like something thrown in like we gender swapped the Flaming Fist captain, may as well make his armor reflect his rank too.
And Realms Restored was never intended to just be a color and head swapper. If Realms Restored had just been the ****** Color Eraser 5000 then we wouldn't have gotten soulful changes like this since it'd be seen as taken "creative liberties".
I'm a pretty big fan of how deliberate the aesthetics and direction of the mod took. Like, just making higher class women wear dresses in BG is really cool imo. Or making the Sharrans wear better armors. Making the city more human and grounded than just a spaghetti mix of all races.
I do think some changes were "subjective" but that's what the restoral options are for, no?

If these mods tried to follow the "vanilla vision", the *******, girlbosses and other gay jew **** in general wouldn't even be removed in the first place

Like I mentioned before, this is just something I through together in order to see how'd she behave as a man. We're not going to have someone wearing topnotch armor, while wielding a 2 copper hatchet in the final cut.

There'd also be a pervasive issue of horrible art and creative direction the vanilla game suffers from. Races taking up roles they don't belong in. Subraces not really mattering (High Elf druids when there are few Wood Elf druids, for example). There being no difference in attire based on rank. Nobles dressed like commoners and not being predominantly human. Sharran men wearing dresses. Women dressed like men in Baldur's Gate city when they should be in dresses. Etc etc etc
I could go on for ages about it. I really appreciate the deliberate changes Realms Restored ended up making. I think it makes a big difference. The mod restores immersion to the game, not just erasure of *******.
TLDR if there were a Realms Restored Lite version it'd be really soulless and the game would still be full of immersion issues

@loregamer I was a bit critical, but I wouldn't say I was allergic. As I said, I use the mod, as it is overall far better to play with and without it, and the changes I didn't like weren't "bad" in and of themselves.
I'm also probably just remembering those, as those you posted didn't even come to mind as they fit so well and seamless into the game, with only perhaps little things I wouldn't have changed. Nothing that's making me not use the mod though.
Maybe I assumed to much just from this clip that was posted. If you guys do it like with Realms Reborn, I'm sure I'll use it, even if I might disagree with some changes.

Fair enough, though I do think raising alarm bells at changing the clothes/armours that are worn in this mod was silly. Maybe a bit too much of a vanilla purist position, honestly
If anything, I think the mod should get creative on clothes/armors since the whole idea behind it is gender swapping women in leadership roles back to men. If they were wearing generic armor in vanilla the same as the other NPCs, then it wasn't reflective of their rank and needs fixing for immersion
Another thing I want to comment is "making changes they subjectively like, but many other people probably won't". I don't think it's a good modding practice to try and make mods with that mindset, i.e. playing it as safe as possible. Obviously there's going too far with subjective changes that we've seen in modding before, like Arthmoor adding broken Oblivion Gates to the Unofficial Skyrim Patch. But I don't think Realms Restored has gone too far with it, and the changes that are more subjective have restoral options.
Basically, I think a mod like Realms Restored should have soul poured into it rather than not stepping on the toes of most and pleasing the maximum amount of people, if that makes sense. It's better to make lots of cool changes that some may not like than play it super safe and make the mod unambitious and soulless. It's a balancing thing, but I'd like RR and this mod to lean on the take-risks-be-ambitious than, like I said, just be some Color/Head/Body Swapper
That's my mindset at least. If there ever are changes that are taking it too far, then do please roast us, but again, changing clothes/armor in this mod isn't. I will stand by that

You raise good points.
I think I may have come across as and indeed been a bit too "alarmist" in hindsight. I tend to focus more on the negative than positive, that may have come to bear here a bit.
(Or maybe it's just because I'm german. One of our biggest comliments is "one can't complain" for a reason )
I am thankful for what you guys are doing with those great mods, after all.
I would personally leave out/make optional the prominent NPCs and focus on all the Fists, Crime boss ladies (zentharim, the guild, etc.)
I think the main issue is not that Mol is the leader of the kids, or Z'rell being a high-ranking Absolutist, but the 100 Fists high-ranking girlbosses you meet in Act 3. If you swap all the girlboss Fists, girlboss Zentharim, Girlboss Guild, having Korilla save you, Jaheira try to outbadass you (which, granted, she can because she is a legendary character), or the Goblin priest try to outsmart you, would feel ok. These instances would happen from time to time and it wouldn't be so jarring when they happen if you get rid of the 1000 minor girlboss characters.
One of the first things I would do is to gender swap the 3 tiefling guards looking out and defending the Grove who, surprise, surprise, are all female. Kanon, the only male one, is killed in the cinematic. Or maybe a compromise could be to create new male NPCs, like 4 or 5 of them and add them to the patrol defences. That way, it won't feel like it's only females defending the main Grove door. Maybe that's easier to do, and it will save you the headache of having to swap and revoice 3 characters.
The same with the 3 Zenth at the goblin camp. 3 women alone in a camp full of cannibal goblins? Yeah right. Same deal. Either swap them or add some bulky guards to them as NPCs to make the situation believable. They would actually need bigger numbers anyways. Even 3 male emissaries in the middle of a camp full of volatile orcs and goblins would feel intimidated.
There is also a jarring scene when you beat the game, in the ending, in which you save the city, do you see a man defending a child from a mindflayer? Of course not, it is another woman. Might need a fix.
That's my two cents for now. I think if you focus on Fists, Zentharim, and The Guild, you solve 90% of the game's issues and without the headache of having to swap important characters like Mol, who are linked to more complex quests and have more dialogue to change.

Is it possible to at least change her character introduction? I mean, without her attacking our hero with magic, and the only response from him being something cringe line like, "Wait, let me explain, mah queen! Don't hit me" I know it's a very personal request, but for me, it breaks the immersion when the Dark Urge, who has already left a hundred corpses in their wake, can only interact with her by giving such a submissive, almost capitulatory line to someone who literally cast a spell on them from the get-go.
As a player who hasn't finished the game with Tav let alone dark urge, i must ask who you are talking about and what this convo was...
Her introduction. When she ensnares you with her roots and then you just rip free, this "cool, multi-option RPG" gives you two choices: either grovel before her or just attack.
Maybe that's your character. I could have sworn my character as a bard had more options to say.
This is shaping up to be just great. I love that you are giving high-ranking officers better armour too, which serves to distinguish them better. Are you going to change their names as well? Maybe Harper Lass?
By the way, do you guys have a full list of all these girlbosses captains, commanders, etc? It would be nice to see. And also how those numbers compare to the male ones. I think there are 3, 4 captains/commanders in the game? It would be nice to see those numbers as well.

This one is just something I put together real quick, and will likely only keep the voice. As far as lists go, we're starting with like 90% of Flaming Fists.

Nice, yeah, all those girlboss Fists have to go. Eager to download and give it a go!

Keep in mind though it's going to be an EA with lots of pronoun audio & dialogue to edit.

Thanks for the heads up. I will wait for a few patches then
