There might be some blog out there documenting what the Liarsoft VN was like. There are more that turn up in the search but these are the "highest" rated at 3.0 (the highest rated VNs are Fate/SN at 8.6 and Steins;Gate at 9). VNDB is run by westerners so I would presume some moon rune reading turboweebs rated them.

I was taking Rusty's optimistic/gracious interpretation that he was gathering research on trends over time. Though it is odd to fixate on homosexuality being taboo needing to be a requirement, when there are countless anime and JRPGs that yuri with bait hardly anyone in the narrative looking down on it. I guess the ideal was more normalized there from the get go since they never had the Church in their culture reminding people to abhor it like we do here.
