Best game intro
Probably not the best intro, but this one definitely had me going "well, that just happened, and i have no idea what is going to happen next" mood going and i was gripped until the end. Thank God for the JEHEM mod and other modders who fixed the dumb ending in 3 and made it far better by just editing and not adding anything.
How come anyone hasn't linked this yet:
BTW this is not only the intro but the official movie composed of cutscenes and gameplay released by a developer of the game, good substitute for playing the game if you can't get over rather archaic gameplay and QoL. The masterful transition from a grandeur view of space into Boots getting a beating in his office above a bar he drinks in is something unique in video game cutscene design, like the game itself is.
Of course, the intro is, like the game itself, very influenced by FF7 but it has a much more mature tone.

I'm just stating the facts.
Question is are you going to gargle the truth or swallow?

Both are really good, but I prefer the horror movie feel of the one for Ghost Bear's LegacyHyperevolvedPIG wrote: ↑ September 29th, 2023, 21:39

It can't be called best, because I always forget it, nor favorite, but if game menu ost's count as intros, Two Worlds (the forsouth game) had a 90s Warner Bros action movie love song in it. Must be somebody's favorite. The singer is Amber Moon, I was looking up how to run away from battles in Stornnberg. Also, I think Two Worlds was the last, implicit stand of hot white fantasy woman on a game cover.
