Taboo lesbian romances in games

Post by horstg »

Hey guys,
Do any of you know of games with a lesbian romance (involving the protagonist) where that is a taboo or illegal in that setting/society and is actually acknowledged as such? Through mechanics or narrative for example?

My guess is he's pointing out how lesbians were used to force gays in games by making it socially acceptable slowly.

Dragon Age: Origins you ******* mongrel ******** ******.

I'd say I expect you to be able to understand the positions being solicited but you've already demonstrated you're completely incapable of understanding any positions but your own.

You can express surprise at Leliana's flirting with your female PC, but there's not really any consequence.
The Dragon Age setting is specifically non-homophobic because it was written by a bunch of ****.

Hell, you can bang an elven maid as a female Cousland and your mother says nothing when she find the naked elven woman in your chambers.

You're right, for some reason I was thinking of the rolled-up note. But despite the note clearly aping the ****'s note from V for Vendetta, it's only an inspiration, it wasn't about a **** who died for her sins.

These things happen.

Oghren's wife left him for her lesbian lover - and it was not even frowned upon, just mentioned casually.

Not even the Bible cares too much about lesbians. Just something inconceivable.

In DA:O your character can also express shock at the existence of homosexuality.

Funnily enough, that same character could bang the son of a minor noble in the prologue. Your mother doesn't say anything about finding him naked in your chambers either.
Again, the Dragon Age setting isn't at all homophobic. Which is also why the *** (in the most disparaging way possible) writer's ****** "my dad wants to pray the gay away" story for Dorian in Inquisition didn't make a lick of sense.

Strangely, gay men act exactly as gay porn actors do while lesbians are the complete opposite of lesbian porn actors.

Dorian specifically has a very dramatically delivered line of "He tried to change me" when talking about why he finally ran away from Tevinter. Yes, the in-universe problem is the fact that Dorian refused to continue the superwizard eugenics project, but the writer behind the quest deliberately tried to make it into a "homophobic dad wants to try electroshock therapy on his *** son" situation.

Well yeah, he outright tried to use blood magic to make him open the possibility of having sex with a woman because Dorian was too stubborn to take one for the team.

That's because lesbians aren't even a real thing, there are truly gay men, but women can get a factory reset by a chad

You have strange fixation on ***** Kalarion. Makes you wonder if this is some type of deflection for being a **** or some other minority yourself.
