Probably just a woman but I thought the same, even after listening for a bit.

But for me, what truly sticks in the craw is the statement that Bellamy's priority is the operation of Jagex's game "as apolitically as possible." Hosting Pride events is not apolitical, but nor is cancelling them in order to cosy up to far-right governments. The latter is just easier. If Bellamy's priority truly is to prevent the compromise of the "escapism" it offers to its many players, I have to wonder how RuneScape's numerous LGBT players feel about their escapism right now.
For context since the author is a blatant liar, they don't even poll ****** events in OSRS because they know it would lose by such an insane margin

This is the game that had to implement custom rules to ban people from wearing outfits that look like KKK robes during the pride event

Leaked data claims the pride event will be called "Darkspear Dash" and will act as a fundraiser for the LGBT Trevor Project. Yeah, that's not good. Apparently "Darkspear" is the name of a tribe in the universe so they're also damaging the setting's lore to do this.

I think Everquest always had traces of wokism even at the start. It got more extreme over the years. They are based in California though so it is to be expected. Although Brad was a Christian and was low tolerance of that ****, otherwise it probably would have had 70+ genders by now.

So what's the timeline from launch to being overtly pozzed like it is now? It would be good to know to see the warning signs of future pozzed games.

I remember this. 2017 correct? I was there, somewhere behind the wall in this screenshot. I remember seeing people in the desert robes disappear

I don't wanna be a big downer and I would LOVE to play more THJ, it was like my dream game. But seeing as you asked :D My guess is that it will be ****** from the start and then get worse. At release it won't have any of the expansion packs so none of the key zones that people liked, and none of the Alternative Advancements which were key to what made THJ good. THJ also had some really good custom content, some tweaked raid battles, some tweaked loot like the pristine augments and stuff, and there was an item upgrade feature which was great. You could upgrade any item to become much stronger by absorbing xp. And you could combine multiple augments to become 'Pristine'. The AAs also went far beyond what was even available in Planes of Power. And the way the Bazaar worked was special too, they had a custom AA called "Bazaar and Back" which let you instantly teleport from anywhere to the Baz. And then you could use it again to return to where you were. Also the Baz had a teleporter to take you any zone. Also the boosted Mage pet was key to THJ and I think that was all custom.

They said EQL will not have multiple pets, so the "pet ****" build which was super popular wont be possible. And it was really good for going AFK overnight and letting your character grind. Instead they plan to sell AA potions and **** like that. Which people assume means that the xp rate will be a tedious grind unless you pay for potions. Even besides the typical pet **** build I had a lot of fun with less conventional builds that also used multiple pets, like SK/Druid/Ench. THJ also had global buffs like giving everyone bard speed so running around was far less slow.

I had a quick read of the Fires of Heaven forum which has people that still follow this stuff closely and they think anyone who is interested in dumb. Lol. Fool me once shame on you, fool me 500 times shame on me. For me it's unlikely they won't cut 1000 corners and monetize the hell out of everything. Also none of THJ staff are involved which sucks. There are a lot of good ideas in the community but the THJ team made it a reality which is rare. Hope they prove me wrong though! But I would put my money on them being scumlords.

Games where you have "mounts" or "pets" are so ******* faggy and lame. We can probably look back and scientifically ******* analyze how WoW created an increase in the furry community. Sad!

To be fair its status as a live service game is up for debate
No it isn't. You have to connect on their servers or you get no game to play at all.
It has zero offline functionality. Like the game won't even boot without a connection.
That's live service to a T.

Ah, I see.

No the real joke is when they update it and somehow manage to break core functions and make everything worse.
You may as well not bother replying to my posts if it's to argue anything except concrete facts or your personal opinion. I still probably won't see it.

Furries are lame. But most RPGs have pets, it is part of D&D. They are usually an elemental. EQ pets are especially good because you get to control it properly and also give it gear.
