Played the **** out of this. Mario cart? what's that? huh???

Log in. BIS. Mmm hmm.

Owned this, one of the first GB games I had with Zelda: Links Awakening. This is what the GB was capable of for music. Fuckin beautiful.

This Gameboy game was my FIRST of audio bliss for boss/battle music. I can confidently say this is probably where it all started for 'hype' tracks for me.

I know man, it's a beauty track. It stands out from the rest on it's own that feels different from the rest of the stages and especially the boss stage music. It's the only music that has the 'human' aspect 'sound' to it that sets it apart from the stage music and bosses you face, I just never appreciated it as a kid ( hype track wise ) as I preferred the track leading up to him:

I think the NES version had the better last boss theme, even if it was a stupid computer instead of the mech.

The picture is from the Green Dragonshrine in Dragonblight but ironically that music doesn't trigger there, it triggers in Sholazar Basin and in the Red Dragonshrine.

Also it's very similar to the DQIX Observatory Theme:

Japanese and Euro Mega CD:

You're going to have so much F U N!!

American Sega CD:

You're going to have the kind of fun that other kids can only dream of!

American Sega CD 2.0:

Fun? Who cares about crap like that? You're the cool kid with rich parents and all your friends are envious sub-humanoids. Now load up that FMV game you already have memorized and play it again!

Sometimes I suddenly recall that EA used to write good original OSTs for their games instead of just using licensed tracks or some dynamic sound slop.

Heard this from a romhack of F-Zero called F-Zero Hybrid that merges a lot of tracks into larger ones. Thought it sounded nice and luckily for me the romhack had the pcms outside of the actual rom file. All I had to do was convert it to wav, make a cozy loop in Vegas, and then...

Everyone knows that Dark Souls has great music, but FromSoft was always brilliant when it came to the OST. If you have yet to play Armored Core, do it for the soundtrack alone.

I was listening to Look Outside’s soundtrack and it’s pretty cool so far.

Also I’ve been listening to Parasite Eve’s ost lately.
