The remaining non-gamer woke cretins at W.o.t.C. are at it again:

Apparently this is a reference to the new Taylor Swift album.
Like any real gamer is a "Swiftie" and would get the reference.
Who do they think the audience is?
Five various queers and their ***-hag?

No, not all kinds of characters. Just browns, *******, and women. For those who promote diversity, it's funny how all they can do is mindlessly churn out a faceless, boring mass without kith or kin.

I've subscribed to Macris's newsletter and he did send me Lairs&Encounters, as was advertised on his blogpost, maybe 10 years ago. Now, that's consistency.

ACKS to Grind will have a discussion in a few hours with the guy who made the documentary about Gary Gygax.

Now that we know how our machine overlords actually speak, I keep imagining playing an android character and doing my best to make all my in-character lines sound like an LLM wrote them (without actually using one).

"You've hit on an excellent and tactically-sound idea in suggesting I flank the xenos from the side. Research has found that aliens, like humans, find it difficult to maintain full situational awareness while under fire. While you and our allies hold this front and keep them pinned down, I'll circle around through the mess hall and hit them from their blind spot. They'll never see it coming!"

I've developed a new pet peeve: tabletop actual plays in which the group/GM consistently gets the rules wrong or is using undocumented house rules. How am I supposed to gauge how these systems go at the table when nobody actually follows the rules!?

I'd cut them some slack if it were ambiguous stuff, but that's not what I'm talking about. I mean really egregious didn't-read-the-rules type stuff, or just doing something so wildly different that it's not even really the same game anymore.

Ya I've been at a couple of tables like this. Worst games I ever played.

Does anyone have GOOD PDFs of the various GURPS Traveller books from the 3rd edition?
(Not the "Interstellar Wars" stuff of 4th ed.)
I have a bunch of them from various sources, but the scans are mediocre to ****.
I'd love to have the clean PDF versions Steve Jackson Games has, but I have no interest in buying them for 8 to 10 bucks each, when the original prints were only like twice that.
But I can't find where people have uploaded cleaned (DRM account coding stripped) versions online.

I recalled your request and checked. I have some of the books from your list, but they're scans, not HD quality.

I've been listening to Macris' LP of his Grey Brotherhood online campaign (ACKS), while I've been doing other stuff.

The quality is uneven, but in general the vids are pretty neat. I tend to zone off during combat encounters, because those are slog with endless roll-to-hits-and-who-is-next where almost nothing ever happens. Their barb and mage were the most amusing during combat. Traps, PC healing and henchmen interactions were the funniest so far. I can appreciate the thought put into economic system, but for the spectator it was pretty meh ("so you've rolled CHA and moved some stones worth of goods, ******* imperial system, btw, learn metric ffs, to get what, 200 gps of profit? oh, next session the party got a chest worth 10k gps? all that trading did have some impact, I guess... on my free time.")

That is, despite ACKS trying to be combat-oriented system, noncombat is where the campaign shines for the viewer, IMO. I'd even go as far as state that the campaign could've been system agnostic and, after some fiddling, don't lose its quality.

I'm on episode 15 now and not going to drop yet. Speed x1.5 was best for me.

Does anyone know other quality LP vids?

These two are just one-shots, but I like them for several reasons: they're played in-person, there's little combat to bore the viewer, and the GM put some commentary about his thought processes in the subtitles:

I don't like the extremely rules-lite branch of OSR for play, but, for viewing, it works out pretty well.
