One of the first things I programmed was a pong game that would always beat the player just by figuring out where the ball would be far in advance.
It wasn't very fun!
Pong itself isn't very fun. Edit: This is also all human players need to do to win at it

Looks like Outer Worlds 2 pre orders number are so abysmal that they did a price drop.

Don't worry. Being a Day 1 GamePass title means we'll still see article after article about how "Outer Worlds 2 boasts 5 trillion units sold... players... store visits... mentions on social media in its first week, absolutely SHATTERING Outer Worlds numbers."

I’m tired of people defending dogshit PC ports that runs like absolute ***.

By the way the game is using UE5.

I fuckin' love spot/ping keys in shooters. Would rather spot an enemy for my team than shoot him.

The first stage of grief is denial.

Play a real game for men, like Timberborn.

Now I see why rusty likes this game so much. It goes DEEP into HQ lore.

Oh man a deadly plague to fix... I'm so excited to play through this original idea.

I will say I do like the art style, though.

The more I find out about this game, the more interested I am. Based on Steam discussions, it's pretty challenging. You have to balance your food stores with setting up defenses for the town (raiders because of the plague I think). Characters can permanently die - there were a lot of complaints about that. I'm definitely going to keep my eye on it.

I'd really like a farming game that focuses more on the farming and less on being a romance simulator.
The original old-school Harvest Moon games were like that, were you could go the entire game without even talking to a single bachelorette and you wouldn't really miss much.

It wouldn't be a farming sim if you couldn't plant your seed.

While many modern farm simulators do have a kid event, most of them are always stuck in just early family stages where the kids never grow past toddler stage, regardless if the game has a years limit.

I think that with enough tech and determination from a passionate dev or devs, a "generational" farming simulator could be made where your first farmer grows old and you then you play as your eldest son who became an adult, which in turn also grows old and then you play as the first farmer's grandson, and so on.

The passage of time could also be reflected in the village structures and the NPCs, too.

Great, now I will have to pirate it and add a mod that fixes it if I want to play it.

First, I HATE the term "pre-order". If I am paying money for a product, I am, by definition, ordering it.

Second, why would you ever buy something pre-release? Can't these ******* learn?
The only legitimate way to give developers money prior to release is to participate in a backer campaign, should you feel foolish enough to do so.
(I made that mistake exactly once. Never again.)

You may as well not bother replying to my posts if it's to argue anything except concrete facts or your personal opinion. I still probably won't see it.

Until it's abused by the cheaters. BattleBit had a cheat that "pinged" the whole screen a couple of times a second, making every enemy in view tagged and blatantly obvious, even behind cover.

Well, today I'm able to cross a lot of things off my list I'd been interested in. This one is The Necromancer's Tale.

@Tweed - you may not even need to review this.

It should just ping WHATEVER you target, regardless of whether there's anything there. That also makes it much more versatile and interesting.
