I know, right? We shouldn't need feminists using financial institutions to strong arm sellers of video games just to get porn away from children.

Ugly feminist pedo protecting lesbians used jew powers against coomers with weird fetishes.
Might as well write "**** subvert west", because context is overrated.

This is one of those situations where I have trouble deciding who I hate more, ********, Australians or women.

They're making it so that no one can buy them, which is wrong. Payment processors should not be making decisions on who can use their services based on values of the people currently running the payment processors.rusty_shackleford wrote: ↑ July 21st, 2025, 11:58I know, right? If Valve is allowing kids to buy adult games, this is a Valve problem. I'm not going to be a bucket-crab about this.
How are underage children buying anything online? Do children in Australia get to have their own credit card?Roguey wrote: ↑ July 21st, 2025, 13:52If Valve is allowing kids to buy adult games, this is a Valve problem.
Seems to me this is a parenting problem.
Places where you can buy Steam gift cards:gerey wrote: ↑ July 21st, 2025, 13:56How are underage children buying anything online? Do children in Australia get to have their own credit card?
Seems to me this is a parenting problem.
Retailers: Walmart, Best Buy, GameStop, Target, Walgreens, 7-Eleven, Circle K, Dollar Tree, Kmart, Rite Aid, Sears, Sam's Club, Costco, and more.
Convenience stores and gas stations: 7-Eleven, Sheetz, Wawa, Super America, BP, Sinclair, Texaco
Though Steam also has parental controls

I don't believe there's anything preventing a particularly clever kid from just making their own account separate from the family one or simply just pirating, though this is a problem that could be solved by not letting a kid have unsupervised access to a computer if it's that serious a problem.
In my personal experience a kid knowledgeable enough to jump through these hoops wouldn't suffer any ill effects from it. It's the dummies like Billie Eilish who have to be protected from themselves.
Yeah if there's one thing porn addicted transsexuals are known for, it's being tech-adverse.Roguey wrote: ↑ July 21st, 2025, 14:38In my personal experience a kid knowledgeable enough to jump through these hoops wouldn't suffer any ill effects from it.
Parents should do their job and parent their spawn. It's not my problem if little Timmy has unsupervised access to adult material. For the sake of this argument, it's as equally inappropriate for a kid to view/play a Resident Evil game as it is for him to goon to porn. Both types of content are age restricted, and society should not be required to be their nanny, especially when the parents have been provided all the necessary tools to control what content their children are exposed to.Roguey wrote: ↑ July 21st, 2025, 14:38I don't believe there's anything preventing a particularly clever kid from just making their own account separate from the family one or simply just pirating, though this is a problem that could be solved by not letting a kid have unsupervised access to a computer if it's that serious a problem.
Ultimately, it's not just the consooming of degenerate content that fucks up a child, but the lack of parental interest in raising them. Some kids are born ****** up in the head and there's very little the parents can do about it beyond smothering them with a pillow the first time they catch them yiffing out, but most kids turn out into ****** up freaks because neither parent had the time to parent them, and instead of owning up to their fuckup, they prefer to blame the rest of society and demand they "fix it".
Any kid can easily find a download for free.

Every single other kid your kid meets has a device with unlimited and unrestricted access to pornography they can access within seconds. Unless you're chaining them up in the basement they're going to see porn, porn significantly more visceral and neuron forming than the softcore magazines hidden under a rock in the woods of yore. Not good!gerey wrote: ↑ July 21st, 2025, 14:56Both types of content are age restricted, and society should not be required to be their nanny, especially when the parents have been provided all the necessary tools to control what content their children are exposed to.

This is like Fredric Wertham saying comics were corrupting kids because the juvenile delinquents who were his patients also read comics. The number of transsexuals in the world is still incredibly small. You're falling for a moral panic.Oyster Sauce wrote: ↑ July 21st, 2025, 14:46Yeah if there's one thing porn addicted transsexuals are known for, it's being tech-adverse.Roguey wrote: ↑ July 21st, 2025, 14:38In my personal experience a kid knowledgeable enough to jump through these hoops wouldn't suffer any ill effects from it.
There should be zero transexuals btw, it's not a real thing at all.

This would be very reassuring if your hobby was drywalling, maybe not as relevant if you enjoy things such as RPGs, video games, or tabletop games though.Roguey wrote: ↑ July 21st, 2025, 15:12The number of transsexuals in the world is still incredibly small. Lol, this didn't even hit the hentai RPGMaker games that have the porn hidden in a patch on the publisher's site. Come on, Gaben! Just when I thought my Steam recommendations were free at last!

If you don't want to see the porn games, just uncheck the boxes.

If you're still seeing the games after unchecking the boxes, this is a Valve problem.

If you're talking to me: that doesn't work. The problem is that the porn is cut out of the game and placed into a patch to be added back in later. Thus, from Steam's perspective, they aren't porn games, so they just get classified as JRPGs.Roguey wrote: ↑ July 21st, 2025, 16:42If you don't want to see the porn games, just uncheck the boxes.
If there's no nudity on the store page I don't see the issue with seeing a game, but add rpgmaker to your list of ignored tags, problem also solved.WhiteShark wrote: ↑ July 21st, 2025, 16:44If you're talking to me: that doesn't work.
