Hi, Dunadan.
How may I share with you my translation for your mod? I corrected all the current strings in Russian language files (a fun fact, Seelie is better than Seelah because of grammar in Russian: I need only one form for all sentences, this name is unchangeable). I hope that for Seelie's files there is no need to translate something as for three other files, because I just made autoreplace for the name.

I'd like to report a small bug I found. I installed your mods, and started a new game. it worked, sort of, but There was a surprising amount of same NPC models being used at the opening scene. Also, all named NPCs including party members were all just one of 2 character models (a gnome, and a peasant woman). So I did some quick testing, and first I removed Undiversified - DangerGnomes (WW_Undiversified_DangerGnomes). Issue persisted those the character models were different this time. Then I tried removing Race and Gender Distribution (WW_RaceGenderDist). That got everything normal again. I reinstalled Undiversified - DangerGnomes, and it was working this time so the cause seemed to be Race and Gender Distribution. I do have a few other mods installed as well, so its probably conflicting with one of them. I can live without that part of your mod. I just wanted you to be aware.

While I was waiting for the answer I polished the translation: the separated localization files from the first post are outdated, so I checked the last enGB files from your mods to get the last updates (e.g., Arushalae's story), and I added Russian specific strings where is no name, but verbs for Anevian's actions (in Russian past tense verbs have different forms for he and she).
So mb now my translation covers current mod version. Of course, there can be some missed pronouns and verb forms. It will take some time for me to check all the text (one hundred thousand lines of text! and some of them are written in such a manner that I have no idea who's speaking: Anevian, Irabeth, commander or sb else).

Thanks for the reports. I don't have time at the moment but at some point I may take another crack at RaceGenderDist but at the moment I'm going to have to disable it again as its still broken despite my best efforts. Which is truly frustrating because I really want it to work.

I just had an epiphany.... I think I may have just thought up a way to get the desired results of RaceGenderDist without going about it the way that I've been trying to.
Rather than trying to code a Harmony patch that hooks into the spawning system, I should be able to just eliminate certain blueprints from the random spawning list so that a generic 'guard' or 'crusader' spawn list only spawns units that are male. Currently the reason why a lot of generic units are close to a 50/50 split male/female is because the distribution lists are made up of approximately 50/50 lists. I should be able to just patch blueprints to remove the female units.
It'll take a fair bit of work to identify every customization preset and distribution blueprint, but it'll be a less game-breaking than the way I've been trying to do it thus far.
Making this post so I can refer back to it later when I have time to work on it.

Hello, @Dunadan, maybe I should mentioned you in my previous messages. Sorry, if you saw my posts and just had no time to answer.
Firstly, huge thank you for your mod! (I finally tested it in my game, so may say this)
Secondly, how may I share with you my translation into Russian for your mod?

P.S. I found out that you missed the line in your fix, it's the same succubus proverb, but for the loading screen, not as part of Arueshalae's dialog.

Currently I have
- corrected all the Anevian strings that I found in the original localization (I additionally have corrected strings, where are no Anevian name or his pronouns, but there are past tense verbs, and corrected some words to match male character better),
- put everywhere Seelie instead of Seelah (in Russian, of course),
- corrected all the strings for Sosiel and Trever to match their current appearance, and
- translated strings for NoAlphabet mod using the last mod version (with the Arueshalae's fix, there are less strings in ru-files, because the original version of the succubus proverb already mentions mortals as he in Russian localization).
P.S. I found out that you missed the line

I think this one is, yeh.
Right now Owlcat seems to be more focused on the 40k games instead, so I guess that WotR is finally "complete".
Who the heck knows, they keep making updates....Finarfin wrote: β July 19th, 2025, 12:55So, is Pathfinder finally done with patches and ****?

I had some time on my hands though so figured I'd take a crack at some revisions/updates.
Mod updated to v2.3, affecting WW_RaceGenderDist only.
Alright... I've released a new version of this bane of mine. This time around the hook to implement the RaceGender distribution is done in a completely different way that shouldn't cause the spawning issues the previous versions did. I tested it on my system and everything seems ok from what I can tell.
@CheesusCrust @Misanthrope if you guys wouldn't mind... could you test the new version out and see if it works?

@Dunadan Ok, jsut did a quick check and it seems to be working. Made a new charactger and did the intro, again, and no glaring mismatched character models or too many clones.
A fair warning, I did install it this time using the WOTR Owlcat template mod installer this time, instead of running the whole .bat again.
Also, I did find a generic noble with Daeran's model. Not sure if thats something that can occur normally, or if thats a bug.

I'm not even sure exactly what you mean by this, to be honest. What's the "WOTR Owlcat template mod installer"?Misanthrope wrote: β July 19th, 2025, 21:19A fair warning, I did install it this time using the WOTR Owlcat template mod installer this time, instead of running the whole .bat again.
This was just a Noble unit in the festival crowd in the intro scene?Misanthrope wrote: β July 19th, 2025, 21:19Also, I did find a generic noble with Daeran's model. Not sure if thats something that can occur normally, or if thats a bug.
Maybe it's normal: it seems to me that I have seen such nobles at Drezen's tavern before I ever knew about this mod.Misanthrope wrote: β July 19th, 2025, 21:19Also, I did find a generic noble with Daeran's model. Not sure if thats something that can occur normally, or if thats a bug.
Update: I cannot find the screenshot, but I remember my commentary "Daeran, what are you doing here?"

I can confirm... I just checked myself and I was lucky enough to have the same generic noble spawn into my intro scene. Checking the unit info with Toybox, it is indeed a proper generic noble... just happens to look almost exactly like Daeran.Maklgu wrote: β July 19th, 2025, 21:37Maybe it's normal: it seems to me that I have seen such nobles at Drezen's tavern before I ever knew about this mod.Misanthrope wrote: β July 19th, 2025, 21:19Also, I did find a generic noble with Daeran's model. Fixed the second succubi proverb found by @Maklgu.
I really do think that, with the new hook method, I've managed to get WW_RaceGenderDist working as intended.
With this in mind, I'd like to get a discussion going to satisfy my curiosity regarding what people think would further improve the mod.
For example I'm seriously considering changing Galfrey to a King instead of a Queen, regardless of what the Pathfinder core 'lore' is.
I'm also considering revising a bunch of Seelie's dialog to be more serious in tone. Someone made a comment at some point that Seelah's original dialogue was too 'jokey' and lacking in gravity at the beginning of the game, and I agree.
Stuff like that. Both would be major undertakings, but I enjoy plodding along at whatever pace I'm able to. I'd also like to hear what ideas others have.

I would normally be on board with a change like this, the only issue I would have with it is the fact that Queen Galfrey as she is in the vanilla game is kind of a lame character.Dunadan wrote: β July 19th, 2025, 22:21For example I'm seriously considering changing Galfrey to a King instead of a Queen, regardless of what the Pathfinder core 'lore' is.
She is overly emotional and impulsive for being someone who's supposed to be over 100 years old, just another stereotypical girlboss with the mental maturity of a moody teenager.
Late game she takes all the accomplishments you built throughout the early and mid game just to throw it all away to the abyssal trash bin, something that is hardcoded to always happen regardless of what you do in order to progress the game's story.
So because of that, funnily enough I don't mind if Galfrey remains as the girlfailure she is.
This character is romanceable, there are many possibilies to pay a compliment to her beauty. So if you want to preserve the romance, I may try to find the lines for this (I'm on aeon's path, so this romance is possible for my character, so I can double-check) and all the lines specific to the Queen and not the King.Dunadan wrote: β July 19th, 2025, 22:21For example I'm seriously considering changing Galfrey to a King instead of a Queen, regardless of what the Pathfinder core 'lore' is.
Upd.: I haven't progress so far to discover the problem mentioned by UltraFan123, if the original Queen makes some strange decision, maybe we can try to fix the story to explain the game situation as a result of political intrigues.
The main conflict of Seelah is "Good mood and windy VS discipline" (it seems to be her questline), and this is the main difference between her and Regill. So more seriousness may make a good paladin of Iomedae, but change the character. But... there is an interesting Regill's thought in files: he mentions that she is cheerful and has lack of discipline, but don't forget about duty. And I'll try to find this line again, this can be an interesting element of Seelie's temper: seriousness under a mask of fun.Dunadan wrote: β July 19th, 2025, 22:21revising a bunch of Seelie's dialog to be more serious in tone
What other ideas do I have?
For Anevian I'm thinking now is there or not a way to completely replace the story about his health with something another. Maybe this can be a debt (or not a simple debt, but a price to leave the world of criminal), and the story about "health problem" will be a first explanation for commander. But there are many dialog lines that can be connected with that story (I found them while studied the localization). I will try to reconstruct all the dialogs connected with Anevian and his health, and if I succeed, I tell you.
Hmm, I have one more direction: Arueshalae's questline and dialogs. One of the main ideas of Arueshalae's story is love. And sometimes you can select lines with sexual underlying theme (not love, but ...). If the main character is male, that's appropriate. And what if mc is female? I haven't seen these lines for female character, I will search the lines from one of such dialogues with Arueshalae in localization files, and study these lines and how they work for females. Maybe we should make some alternative for female main character to make this questline compatible with NoAlphabet (it's possible, in Russian I used selection boxes for verbs, I think we can use them to make a completely alternative dialogue).

what about de-girlboss mod in general? there are too many minor fem NPCs that make no sense, like Gesmerha, Dorgelinda, Lady Konomi, etc. ofc some can remain women, like Lady Konomi, but I'd race-swap her completely because furry ******** is furry ********. Kaylessa quest - classic "woman good, man bad" example, but i personally would've loved an option to side with Forn and not kill him.Dunadan wrote: β July 19th, 2025, 22:21For example I'm seriously considering changing Galfrey to a King instead of a Queen, regardless of what the Pathfinder core 'lore' is.

if you're gonna change Galfrey, at least make it make sense for canceling all the player's efforts after he returns to Drezen + change lines to make male Galfrey to sound like an actual king, not a **** on her period (meaning i felt like walking on eggshells when i clicked on dialogue options, hysteria undertones everywhere). and keep in mind Daeran has a crush on "him" and can see a vision of himself with Galfrey in Areelu's lab, but I'd leave it for lols
or like @UltraFan123 said, you can keep her a chick because, again, her being a girlboss explains why she makes all these ******** choices towards the end.
and a question for possible future modding, technically:
1) is there a way to make other mythic paths to be able to free Lariel?
2) make Demon/Devil path a good path?
3) make NPCs stop ******* bitching about other good aligned paths being anything but Angel, i.e. Galfrey and Iomedae?
Gesmerha is an artisan and not a Sarkorian warrior, she needs our help to deal with the Wintersun problems, so I'm not sure that she makes no sence, but maybe I just haven't seen the story progress.CheesusCrust wrote: β July 20th, 2025, 07:38fem NPCs that make no sense, like Gesmerha, Dorgelinda, Lady Konomi, etc. ofc some can remain women, like Lady Konomi, but I'd race-swap her completely because furry ******** is furry ********
For Lady Konomi maybe the change of her model will be a really good detail (to make she use a human form), because kitsune are naturally gifted to be artful, she tells about this as her reason to deal with politics, but I cannot understand why she's using her fox form all the time.
CheesusCrust wrote: β July 20th, 2025, 07:38change lines to make male Galfrey to sound like an actual king, not a **** on her period (meaning i felt like walking on eggshells when i clicked on dialogue options, hysteria undertones everywhere)
I may help with that, because Queen Galfrey originally can be romanced only by lawfull characters (Aeon or Angel), King may consider these two mythic paths as a good addition to his status of the King (one is a celestial creature and another may see the real nature of things). I like the idea to replace the original romance with some kind of marriage for consolidation of power. (The only problem is that I will need somebody to double-check my English, I'm not so good at writing fiction in English, I will first rewrite this in Russian and then manually translate this into English)CheesusCrust wrote: β July 20th, 2025, 07:38you'd also need to cancel Galfrey's romance part because i suspect you wouldn't want more pain in your *** with dialogue editing.
my personal problem with her was the fact she immediately (literally) sits on the throne instead of Marhevok if you kill him. like... who said you can be the main **** in that village? that's what gave me instant girlboss vibesMaklgu wrote: β July 20th, 2025, 08:46Gesmerha is an artisan and not a Sarkorian warrior, she needs our help to deal with the Wintersun problems, so I'm not sure that she makes no sence, but maybe I just haven't seen the story progress.CheesusCrust wrote: β July 20th, 2025, 07:38fem NPCs that make no sense, like Gesmerha, Dorgelinda, Lady Konomi, etc. ofc some can remain women, like Lady Konomi, but I'd race-swap her completely because furry ******** is furry ********

@Dunadan need to delete this ****** convo from the game entirely, please? pretty please? (delete - because it's a fully voiced camp dialogue and has no base per se for editing)
