You know, if the dudes got lost in the wilderness, you can just say so. Won't hold it against you.
I'm sure they will get lost at some point, so thread carefully. I'm planning on posting the next turn by Wednesday. I'll @ everyone still playing.
Stein's already been to the Hunter's Lodge when he hauled the deer pelts for the furrier Donarin, so in theory we won't get lost before reaching that building. If there is a hunter hanging about the lodge perhaps he may be willing to offer further directions to Mossborrow. Image
β–Ί The party meets a trustworthy Hunter of the friendliest sort: ''Mossborrow? The quickest route is back the way you came, then down into the catacombs... safest as well.''

Best of luck everyone! :knight:

Beautiful writing as always Irenaeus! I have to say I moved closer to the screen when the atmosphere changed in the forest, beautiful way to make it all click together!

Hey, you should write an LP based on that playthrough!
For our game, I'm sketching the next post, should post it tonight.

I was meaning to redo Brazil and keep Dom Pedro and the monarchy intact this time, I could do an LP of that.

:bounce: And it's not even Wednesday yet! (on my planet)

@Irenaeus do we know whether zombies and skellies are fast or not? As in, can they usually outrun (outwalk?) humans?

They seem really really slow, but sometimes they move in spurs of janky movements, do they look tricky to determine speed and reflexes. They are walking slowly towards you but Felix saw one or two lunge ahead with arms flailing about. Maybe you can try to escape and outrun them, but you do not know if they will pickup speed since they are animated by dark magic, so you can try it to see what happens.

Their bodies are cylinder-shaped, wide as a large barrel and as long as a horse. They crawl slowly on the ground but when moving they can bend in a jerk and become as tall as a man. Their radulas (tongue-like) are the size of an arm and move quickly as a sword or a flail.

As a side note, I'll post the stats of the enemies when a player first successfully hits them to keep a little mystery and mystery/horror-like mood. Hope you have fun with the encounters!

Is the chapel something like this?

I don't mean to be anti climactic but can't we just all outrun these slugs? They're slugs.

Gonna be a bad look for us if we walk by these slugs a mile out from town and then they munch on a woman foraging berries or some kids playing outside of town.

If the encirclement can be broken and the party is able to outpace the slugs, we could use ranged weapons to pick them off. Image

I took the liberty and assumed that an 18 is enough to hit a snail. If the GM is funny though, it'll turn out that the snails are all polymoprhed wizards and have cast all sorts of defensive buffs on themselves. Now THAT would be adventuring.
