What are your favorite Pokemon?

Post by Val the Moofia Boss »

Use this sorter (I clicked the "split" option it recommended) and find out what your favorite Pokemon are.

For me, it spat out:

  • I always thought Reuniclus was a very unique and iconic design. It is very simple. It's just a cute little thing, but encased in big spheric gel/bubbles with long arms and large hands.
  • Glaceon is a cool fantasy dog. It's ears (both the actual ears sticking upwards, and the flaps draped down) are an interesting fantasy design.
  • Noibat is a cute baby bat mascot.
  • Raichu is Pikachu but has cute animal markings on the hands and feet which makes it feel more animal like. I also like the lighter colored tummy. Only downside is that it loses the directly attached tail.
  • Scolipede is a cool knightly themed Pokemon, like caparison
ed horse rearing up. Maybe it can still roll around as a tire like Whirlipede.
  • Silvally is another cool fantasy dog design with the griffon/bird talons, the beak, and the crest. Neat backstory origin/flavor with it being a lab experiment that was then consigned to be forgotten only for a trainer to discover it and break it out.
  • Reshiram I thought was a neat, white furred/feathered wolf/bird dragon design. I like the smoky plume of hair. The feathered blade on its tummy is interesting. The fur/feathers adds texture, it is only one color which keeps the design simple. And story wise I liked how it was N's signature Pokemon.
  • Furret is another simple but good design, long but round and cute.
  • Never played the Switch Pokemon games, but the elephant looks strong and powerful and has an interesting color scheme.
  • I liked Dewott's whiskers and fighting stance.
  • Bulbasaur is the quintiessential fantasy creature. It looks like a kaiju or stylized dinosaur, with some slightly fantastical coloring and then the flower bulb on its back.
  • Milotic has those interesting flap ears again.
  • Kangaskhan is another quintiessential kaiju design.
  • Grookey has those animalistic hands/feet markings, and it looks like a pet that can crawl up onto your shoulder and bring you stuff.

I only really like a subset of the original 150. Overall I'd pick Abra.

Pikachu is the most iconic pokemon so I'll choose him. Get it?

Just the original 150. Pokemon blue is one of my favorite games of all time and I can still enjoy playing it to this day.

OG 150 is all I am familiar with. Here's what it gave me after going through the selector you posted until it hit 6.
what_it_decided_PKMN.png
Cloyster was picked number 1. I believe it to be accurate.

If I had to comment regarding the number 1 pick; I play tanks in mostly everything with Heals/support secondary. Cloyster I always liked since a youngster. Ability and design wise. Looks like an underwater mine.

The **** eating grin says it all for me.

Unintentional. But these are my boys. Magneton just didn't make the 6 man team.

Gameplay-wise, I love all slow, bulky, hard-hitting pokemon. Why choose between offense and defense when you can be a lardass and have both?

Other than that, I always liked Venusaur and Venomoth

This fuggen quiz takes forever. Here's the three rows I got before I actually just stopped clicking things at random.

I don't know much about pokemon and have never played a single pokemon game, so I was choosing based on their looks - all the stuff I found cool or funny.

There's so many cool Pokémon, but I think my favorites are these 2:

Blaziken especially with his hidden ability:

Alakazam with Magic Guard & a life orb can be very powerful:

have never played a single pokemon game
Never too late to change that! For malinline games, I would recommend picking something between Gens 3 and 5, maybe even 6 and 7 too. All of the mainline games can be beaten in 20 to 30 hours max, so they are a relatively low time commitment.

Out of all the playthroughs I did, he was picked the most as a starter. Even had his own gang and a sweet pair of shades.

Mah boi Gengar. Followed in order by Kingdra, Scizor, Murkrow/Honchkrow, Garchomp, Mew, Mewtwo, Alakazam, Celebi, Articuno, Salamence, Mismagius, Metagross and Tyranitar.
It's generally a few types: Ghost, Psycho, Dragon, Ice, Dark, Steel. Biased towards the earliest generations aka Gen I & II as I quit the series a long time ago.
