Coming along nicely.
It's an interesting project.
But Ultima 7 is objectively a bad game with a terrible map.
It's not as bad as the subsequent games, so there's that.
You may as well not bother replying to my posts if it's to argue anything except concrete facts or your personal opinion. I still probably won't see it.
Reject your retarded-wing political programming and learn to think.
If you can.

How is this possible? The console still barely has any noteworthy exclusives, and GaaS has been around since the PS4 era. What’s actually driving all this? It can’t just be the VR headset and premium subscriptions right?

IIRC from that Sony Playstation presentation leak a couple years ago, Genshin is responsible for one billion USD in revenue on Playstation. GTA V sales and microtransactions are also humongous. So it's probably being carried by old live service games.

How much of this do you think is because most modern games suck, rather than the economy being in a bad state?

there's no games worth buying
Last year, I bought maybe 4 games, including Steam sales. I’ve still got hundreds of old games I haven’t played or finished, I’d rather play them than waste money on some boring modern ****.

The Switch 2 has sold a ton, even outperforming the first in opening weekend sales despite launching with just one exclusive. If that’s any indication, a big video game crash probably isn’t happening anytime soon. The industry is still fragile, but it's being kept afloat by revenue streams unrelated to single player content, and people keep buying overpriced hardware and peripherals regardless.

Well, that's disheartening. There's virtually no reason to get the Switch 2, other than "it's a new product!"

There was never any serious chance of a crash and anyone who told you to expect a crash is a grifter.

Imperialism II is amazing. Played hundreds of hours of it.

There are some railroad games with that aesthetic and of course civil war games.

Yes! I like the 19th century theme of 1 just a little bit better since there are so few other games set in that time period. But 2 does improve on basically every system (no more WW1 pile-ups by all of the AIs against you!).

Video games are no longer creative endeavors, just products designed to be maximally addicting. All it takes is one Genshin or one GTA V to justify millions buying your console. It's why Sony bet the farm on live service, and It's only through sheer incompetence that 99% of those projects failed. TLOU Factions would've probably made them billions of dollars in easy money.

Not simply incompetence, but also the fact the market is already massively oversaturated with such games and is starting to collapse in on itself.

I sincerely doubt it, especially after TLOU2 came out and killed the franchise.

You know, that'd be a great way to create a list of "never hires." Anyone that gives that much of a **** about AI slop is probably insufferable to be around.

It also shows that they aren't even pay attention to what the job is actually for. It's an engineering team that works on graphics drivers and GPU architecture. All of these morons criticizing the AI slop as if they are hiring a graphics designer are braindead.

It looks like people were already complaining about the state of playstation back when the PS3 was still early in its lifecycle, not just something that started with the PS4.

So, who played the new enhanced edition that came out today that had a lot of controversial new changes, didn't fix existing bugs from the original, and although it boasts of new controls they are actually not any better than the old ones?

Oh, I'm talking of course about Stronghold Crusader Definitive Edition. What other game would I have meant?
