Remembered that it used candles to help guide you. It was definitely a newer game.rusty_shackleford wrote: β September 22nd, 2024, 14:38p. sure it's unreleased with demo or early access, seemed like slavjank, first person game that's sorta stalkerlike but has rpg elements and it takes place entirely in some underground tunnelsanyone?also it got really dark without lights
We have a Steam curator now. You should be following it. https://store.steampowered.com/curator/44994899-RPGHQ/

There was a third person game where you couldn't jump but could do a forward roll. When you did a forward roll off a ledge, it looked like you did a cool frontflip.
Sadly, I can't remember the genre or the setting.

It was a PC game and the animations weren't very advanced, so it can't be that new. It had linear levels, because I remember crossing one of those "10 foot drop" points of no return by dodge-rolling off the ledge into the flip.
It might've even been Alpha Protocol or Technomancer or something like that.

I remember seeing a topdown scifi game on steam, maybe an RPG?
Does anyone happen to know what I'm referring to? ![]()

relatively recent side scrolling game, all I remember is it involved a lot of spelunking in caves using a grappling hook

This might be Droiyan Online.rusty_shackleford wrote: β August 14th, 2024, 04:21trying to find an early 2000s isometric MMORPG with what would be referred to now as 'dieselpunk' aesthetics, was almost certainly pre-rendered graphics
For some reason, the shop screenshot triggered some old memories. And it seems to possibly have the right aesthetic.

But⦠I do not remember any anime in it. I assume it's possible the English localized version had it swapped out.

Wait, is this thread now a game? Do we post random game screenshots for the other posters to guess which game?

There's a crappy Ultima clone I've been trying to find. It was something I played off of a crash grab Doom WAD compilation that also came with a bunch of crappy demos. The only thing I really remember about it is that when you died to showed you a nice swirly, psychedelic screen and then the game chided you for dying while offering you another chance, but once you died too much it finally said something like "that's it" and the game was over. It was in 256 color as I recall.
