It's like wholesome keanu chungus 100 moe idol culture stuff with a bit of shounen competitiveness. No perv content or outfits so far. The only time the story gets any kind of friction is when rivalries spark up, but otherwise it's way too sweet. You can tell as soon as you boot up the game

My understanding from popping in on /gbfg/ from time to time for news is that Umamusume was a mega hit and is one of the very top Japanese gachas, if not the top one. Apparently it is responsible for 70% of Cygames' revenue now. I think it raked it 2 billion USD in a year in 2022 or 2023. Umamusume gets 5 animes while GBF just got two mediocre ones. And now the main Umamusume gets an English release that is being promoted on Steam, while most people don't know that they can go to http://game.granbluefantasy.jp/#top and click the "set language" to English and play (they also have to jump through the hoop that is creating a mobage account). GBF's main story has been on hold for a few years now, with it becoming a joke that Cygames promised that we would get new main story chapters for several years and now show, and then they finally did it a few months ago and it's just a few chapters compared to how much was being released in the 2010s. And GBF's spinoff Relink got a lowcolization and mediocre English dub (the main game's localization doesn't suffer from this, though it is Japanese only voices). It seems like Cygames just doesn't care as much about GBF as they do for this moe game.

Good tbh. Seeing this was already enough to be disgusted at the mobile gacha.

Add to that, that they can't even bother launching it global without making people jump through unnecessary hoops like making a ****** "mobage" account, pair that with the fact the game is literally old as **** and clunky as hell with its convoluted menus and loading screens for each and every thing you do, it is no wonder that they focus on Umamusume. It is easy to install, easy to navigate, has cute girls in it and no crossdressing ******* like Ladiva.

Seems like there are updates to this situation. The Adult Tags were removed and we have access to the Steam Community Hub, only thing that needs to be changed is the 18+ Rating the devs put on it since the mobile version is rated 16. That would make the game available in Germany.
I hate the fact that Germany always wants to enforce their ******** way of doing things. No other country does this. Valve is not going to implement a system where germans have to verify themselves with their ID because it is a waste of resources FOR ONE ******* COUNTRY.

Try an emulator? I used to play it on Bluestacks 5 (Pie 64-bit version) just fine almost no issues. Just obviously a small bit slower than an optimized PC version.
