My rogue trader and space marine were filling up the functions Argenta had in terms of rolls. And as far as companions go - it's obvious Owlcat had more in mind for Argenta, but were stopped by GW at some point. She feels underdeveloped.Cipher wrote: ↑ April 2nd, 2025, 05:10Preferring to use the dirty bisexual degenerate criminal filth instead of the based Sister Argenta is heresy of the highest order, Brother!Fitz wrote: ↑ January 15th, 2025, 08:57Some screens bellow of my party just to show how good the in-game models are.

Either way I couldn't trust Argenta after the Commorragh revelation. She was clearly a threat to me. A successful Rogue Trader needs to be practical in his service to the Emperor, brother. For he is of no use to him if a bullet finds a nest between his eyes. I'm sure the Emperor in all his infinite wisdom is able to appreciate the sort of practicality that prolongs once servitude to him.

Any Rogue Trader that is not fully Dogmatic and takes the Dogmatic choices every time is an agent of Chaos and, as such, must be purged with extreme prejudice!Fitz wrote: ↑ June 26th, 2025, 03:36My rogue trader and space marine were filling up the functions Argenta had in terms of rolls. About your pet in this game, is truth tat even it works in a 4e way? Ie - he don't take actions by itself?
No unfortunately. What a shame.
How hard would it be, from a technical standpoint, to bleach the 3D model of the Arbitres companion and modify his portrait?

We have a wotr mod on here that does this with the companion there. If you were interested in doing it, you may want to ask if he's documented it as it's surely similar.

The ******'s VA is so ******* funny
Like he can't decide what accent he's doing

Maybe it's a SPACE accent, so it doesn't match any single existing accent. I know many people who have Space Accents in real life, due to having lived in multiple places and thus acquired speech characteristics from several.DrSneed wrote: ↑ June 29th, 2025, 09:27The ******'s VA is so ******* funny

It’s jarring how he can’t decide if he’s gonna be professional and precise vs not finishing words and talking in slang. Also trying a little too hard to sound like Idris Elba. I like the character himself overall. It’s nice to work with a professional as opposed to a quirky weirdo who happens to be decent at fighting.

Skyrim Belongs to the Nords.
Geek the Mage first.
There is no virtue in extending mercy to those who want you dead.
Justice will prevail, you say? But of course it will! Whoever wins this war becomes justice!

I find it kinda annoying how Owlcat will go to all the effort of basically making Prologue fully voiced in patches but won’t add a portraits for many important NPC’s that get reference and you talk to quite frequently throughout out the entire game.
Bridge of the Heartless fight in Lex Imperialis expansion is quite a large difficulty spike that was easily the most difficult encounter in the entire game.

Is it? I am running some really ******** builds on Unfair and it wasn't that bad.
Was under leveled and it was those very rare battles where you have to do a certain task in order to not fail after X amount of turns.

Saw owlcat pop up on yewtoob, my bloosky script flagged them as having a bluesky so it made me want to remind everyone to not give a cent to owlcat

This game ******* sucks. Every encounter is filled with pointless trash. Every character is overpowered. The writing sucks. It makes my fans sound like jet engines. Every fight is a waste of time and too easy. The areas are boring to travel through. Why is looting so tedious?
I hate this garbage. I'm playing on Unfair and it's my first time. I'm also not a big fan of leveling up. Your only agency is picking feats and a few minor bonuses once in a while?
Maybe it'll get better after the first space system.

The entire ruleset looks like ****. I could never get past character creation because the way everything works seems terrible
☆HQ Defense Force☆
So I noticing a pattern (which gets especially bad in the DLC’s )that in investigation quests or really any quest for that matter is skills checks not only solve the case faster but are the only way to get a best ending outcome which makes it a zero sum game that incentives save scumming.
Say what you will about Disco Elysium but I appreciate how even when you fail skill checks it’s doesn’t mean you fail the quest and punish you the worst outcome but provide alternate routes you would have never received if you never failed. Also skill checks are not automatic win and can be very misleading if you’re not paying attention which requires making reasonable decisions in order to solve the main investigation case.
Unfortunately RT does none of that which is very concerned since Owlcat next game Dark Heresy primarily focus will be on investigating missions.

Visible numerical lazy mindless skill checks are ruining modern RPGs. Colony Ship "RPG" still makes me feel disgusted.Unhelpful Contrarian wrote: ↑ July 30th, 2025, 14:16So I noticing a pattern (which gets especially bad in the DLC’s )that in investigation quests or really any quest for that matter is skills checks not only solve the case faster but are the only way to get a best ending outcome which makes it a zero sum game that incentives save scumming.

Sounds like you shouldn't have gone to Jupiter to get more stupider, dumbies.

Either I'm an RPG prodigy (I am) or Owlcat sucks at encounter design (they do.)

The combat never really gets difficult, I played on the hardest difficulty and never lost a single encounterCedric wrote: ↑ August 4th, 2025, 18:42It did not get better.Cedric wrote: ↑ July 30th, 2025, 02:49This game ******* sucks. owlcat's encounter design in their other games was poor too, people just ignored it because they confused stat bloat with difficulty, the pathfinder games are only difficult insofar as it's difficult to look up broken builds to counter high difficulty stat inflation rather than it having good encounter design/AI/etc.,

I bounced off hard.
After 15 hours: the plot is boring, the companions are juvenile caricatures (a pleb's introduction to stratified society), and NOTHING happens in the dialog.
The combat system is just buff/debuff juggling all the time. The only interesting archetypes were Officer and Priest.
How can you fail to elicit a sense of danger and conflict in Warhammer 40K?
Due to the poor level design, travel feels like a sequence of rooms.
The art is not good enough to distinguish indoor from outdoor locations.
The only thing that was done to professional standards was the art for portraits and promos (so the one decent visual artist they contracted.)
Verdict: a game by Any Buddy's less-endowed classmates.

What is the deal with ending slides in RPGs? They are broken in every game that has them.Unhelpful Contrarian wrote: ↑ August 23rd, 2025, 20:04Two year later and the ending slides are still broken.
What the hell Achilleas can live?! Guess it pays to cheat on subsequent playthroughs.
It’s only possible to have him live if you didn’t recruit/dismiss Yrliet as a companion . However IMO have him live in that case after the events in Act 4 is fate worse than death since he got turned into a wrack .DrSneed wrote: ↑ August 24th, 2025, 07:14What the hell Achilleas can live?! Hopefully Owlcunts finish Santiel's Pride at some point
The unfinished areas are neat, but the story doesn't make any sense with the way it is now

Very unlikely. Owlcat most likely to focus on new sub plots / companions in future DLC’s since its easier then having to going back and rework unfinished content.DrSneed wrote: ↑ August 26th, 2025, 02:15Hopefully Owlcunts finish Santiel's Pride at some point
