Should the politics section be locked behind a post count minimum?
Adventurer Guild Badges earn tokens worth 1 post in non-gaming forums.
I voted yes.
Also ban females from politics and science subforums, but let them visit religion, theater and health subforums.
If you're ever forced to add ****** gender in profile, let them post only in garbage dump.

Do not hesitate, show no mercy.
You could always make the requirement a hybrid option of an Adventurer's Guild badge or 50+ posts or X amount of time on the forum since their first post. That way existing active members wouldn't be negatively effected.rusty_shackleford wrote: β June 15th, 2025, 04:36Now I can't do itβ¦Stack of Turtles wrote: β June 15th, 2025, 03:52I am not going to do this.rusty_shackleford wrote: β June 15th, 2025, 03:51

What is the goal in temporarily preventing access to the political forum? Is it to give the new users time to acclimatize to the HQ's forum culture or to increase the focus on video game discussion?

Oh, threads like this might have something to do with it: viewtopic.php?f=19&t=4253-us-***-lawmaker-shot-deadSpellSword wrote: β June 15th, 2025, 05:50You could always make the requirement a hybrid option of an Adventurer's Guild badge or 50+ posts or X amount of time on the forum since their first post. That thread was removed, RPGHQ is for video games first and bros hanging out second. If you create an account here specifically to discuss politics, you will be asked to leave.
I've likened the HQ to a themed bar before, and I consider something similar would be done if strangers were using the bar specifically to gather to discuss politics rather than say, sports and hanging out with friends.

Easy to play and pretty fun.
The three evils that humanity faces:
Censorship
Telemetry

Mandatory recording of entire playthrough as well.
RPGHQ was built for the gamer, a haven to complain about Fallout 1 over Fallout 2. Where the fans can rehash old arguments about isometric games. Where the chastised gamer can say ****** in peace. But the parasite comes only to speak of politics. The parasite says "I don't even play video games." and "Video games are for children, grow up." As he makes thousands of posts about current events. Don't be the parasite!
Note how he doesn't mention the ****.
What about Rusty?
Merely listing your Top 5 RPGs could also be a more hassle-free method.

I am fine with that, and it would even exclude me currently. *chuckle*Tweed wrote: β June 13th, 2025, 00:40Minimum post count requirement in RPG section. Three adventure guild badge requirement.

But don't push your luck, he doesn't like being told what to do.
You're so pathetic. It's hilarious how accurate I was about my assessment of why you left, and now you're back and you think you own the place.Tweed wrote: β June 15th, 2025, 09:45RPGHQ was built for the gamer, a haven to complain about Fallout 1 over Fallout 2. I have done this, but to be honest, I said I don't like Baldurs Gate 1 & 2, and the scalie has never forgotten this. So if you list games that they don't like or are too normie, then you're the same.Valter wrote: β June 15th, 2025, 12:47Merely listing your Top 5 RPGs could also be a more hassle-free method.
At this point, I just outright refuse to play along by getting a badge on a matter of principle. I don't find the idea fun, I hate videogame achievements, I cringe at the thought of going to a thread and begging for a badge, but I don't go around telling people they're stupid for enjoying it.
