Placing more restrictions beyond the existing requirement of registering a forum account may dissuade people who would otherwise have had something interesting to say. Also, I'm concerned that a high post count requirement for access to the political forum would encourge pointless spamming.

Perhaps I'm missing something. Has there been an influx of posters to the political section of the forum that needed to be banned?

People will cheat, that's why it should be more than one badge. If someone gets three badges in one day, you know they're a cheating ne'er do well only looking to talk about Trump on an RPG forum.

Locking it behind time or post count makes way more sense than having to figure out what the arbitrary acceptable time it is for people to inevitably look up "X game credits screen" to post. Pretty sure I have multiple save games of KOTOR right before killing Malak I'd be happy to distribute

Unless you get letters from the authorities it should be open. Cant hurt to have some different opinions now and then even if they are wrong. At least they give some bad example and censorship is one of the things I hate the most, especially for adults.

I wouldn't mind being forced to finish an adventurer's guild game, its only fair posters be forced to talk about and play videogames on a videogame forum tbh. I could also do with posting more about the games I'm playing, maybe it would enrich the experience.
