I've been following this. The 2007scape sub is having an all-time sperg out over this.

Hoping they show some spine and tell the Reddit biomass to **** off. But this is Jagex we're talking about so i wouldn't bet on it.

Funny enough, that article shows that it has/had 4 comments on it. Which tells me it was only locked after things didn't go exactly how the cat-"girl" author wanted.

I read about the previous pride events, apparently some people got 1 year long chat bans for speaking against the events while they were happening. Also people would drop noose items (and a couple other things, I can't remember what though) around the event so Jagex made those particular items instantly despawn when dropped, also people wore all white robes and hoods to the event and they blocked those gear items from being worn

I haven't played Runescape since ~05, seems I have not missed out in recent years whatsoever

On rs3 if you go for the quest cape and actually do quests you can see exactly when jagex swapped over to fagex. At this point in the rs3 questine the empress of falador and commander of the white knights is literally a ****** from space.

RS3 was actually pretty fun, it's a shame they ruined it with all the cash shop **** + the tick mechanic is fundamentally incompatible with what they were going for imo

The entire point is they know the playerbase doesn't want it, and they don't care. It's about forcing a social agenda, they don't care that people at fagex are being fired as long as the game yells **** sucking propaganda at children

Remember, most gamers actively go out of their way to avoid gay **** in games and the first mods that people download are mods that mod the gay away. Also, given that MMO's are played by people in other countries, countries whose culture and society does not look too kindly on the LGBTQ, it is no wonder that many gamers do not want gay **** shoved in their faces when playing video games. I have a feeling we will either see devs begin to walk back a lot of the gay **** or double down harder on it as the Left continues to lose more and more power and relevancy.
