but we are left with what is a missed opportunity and ultimately something of a disappointment.
It's funny how you left from "it's ******* excellent" to this overcritical comment after some negative feedback about the game.

We'd all have way more fun gaming in general if we only played the games and didn't bother checking forums and their negative nancys criticizing each small single detail.
then leave?
Guess we know why Anon left now…

Yes. Is great.

I have posted a lot of screenshots in screenshot thread

Played recenlty as an nonlifer. Only am having problems with crashes when I attack a "bandit camp". And is like 1/3 of the times. And I'm using Debian aka a very old package distro. I assume that in M$ spybloatware or a more up to date distro, it wouldn't be a problem.

I really recommend. Worst case scenario, you lost your time trying it. Is not as if you need to pay US$70 and install a Chinese spyware to maybe run a AAA game.

aye, i played it a while back in like 2023, good fun but obviously quite janky. it's come far since i last played it, they added Bretonnia and Wood Elves i think?
the fact that they keep expanding on the map and adding more factions is noice, seems they got the Dawi in the works

good fun and some of the features like placing artillery, magic, and the different 'career' systems in place (like become a Bretonnian Grail Knight, or a Warrior Priest of Sigmar and getting blessings n shiet) are pretty schweet

Has also imperial artillery. The mod added a lot of interesting stuff. Besides vampire, I also played as an Imperial Wizard. You are limited to only one lore as a human. Vampires can learn two. Manlets can't learn any magic at all. Elves can learn multiple lores. The magic is quite strong because contrary to grenades and artillery, there is no drop in accuracy for spells and area of effect is huge. Honestly, I like it. It makes each race more unique. I hate the trend of homogenization of races in RPGs.

Here is I selecting the lore

And what "master" tier magic can do.
► Show Spoiler
Extremely stronger than even Phantasy Calradia in Warband.

Magic has laser accuracy and massive are of effect. I would honestly tone down the AOE of this spells to the same level of artillery. and make them subjected to a "spread" like any projectile and "bullet drop".

I never understood what's fun about Mount and Blade, it's an extremely redundant game with good concept but terrible implementations. It almost feels like a roguelike just how repetitive it is.

It's a sandbox, some people enjoy digging for cat turds in them.

It's fun right up until I actually get to the point where I can get a castle and then it becomes a tedious nightmare and I quite simply quit.

Honestly, crashes aren't that annoying when you play with mods. But 3 messages after EACH crash? The Old Realms crashed. I had to see a message, them click on launch again, see another message warning that the mod is unsafe, another message wanting the safe mode enabled. I am playing with total conversion mods. I expect crashes. But WHY I need to read 3 messages every single time that this hapepns?

And now the game is downloading a pre caching update.

Any way to disable this messages and to skip this "pre caching update"? Is the 3rd time today that I'm passing for it.

I just want to test necromancy in the mod.

my 1.03 beta version still runs with all the mods if you have only updates on launch activated but you have to check in the steam option somewhere that you want to run it in beta at the desired version. Didnt try to update then.

Surely this expansion will make Bannerlord into a good game.

******* haven't yet fixed the base game.

Interesting, thanks for the heads up. Aside from a short attempt at Bannerlord Online, I haven't dug into mods the same way I did with Warband. Granted, I don't know if people really classify BLO as a mod, per se. Still, M&B is one of those games I will binge, at least, once every year or so. Consuming my life for 2-3 weeks and then not touching until I see it brought up again. So, thank you and **** you.

The roaches break most mod with every new update, so the whole modding community has been dying a death of a thousand cuts.

I recall Skyrim having the same issue (and then came Special Edition on top of it all, then th Anniversary one plus updates). Would love to get into this game, but it seems I am doing well to wait for a while. It is nice they get things in though.

The most soulless game I’ve ever bothered to play: terrible AI quests, no voice acting, identical gear and troops, powerpoint presentation type of combat UI, awful lore, **** world, barebones economy, diplomacy and development mechanics
The only thing that makes me check in on this trash from time to time are the ASOIAF mods

To be honest, almost all games break mods when they update, so it's not a new phenomena.

Bannerlord. I don’t hold Warband in particularly high regard either, but at least you could see genuine effort being put into the product

Hopefully, this expansion will fix a lot of the issues that the original Bannerlord had. Warband's engine is just too old.
