Notice how you all missed my comment about the brown bloom fatigue that plagued the 7th gen, and instead fixated on the racial background of the protagonists, even though I never brought that up at all.

Don’t get me wrong, I’d still prefer what we had back then over what we’re stuck with now. But I wanted more creativity in how white male protagonists were designed. Early Drake in Uncharted was great, and Red Dead Redemption’s John Marston looked cool. But take any main character from my earlier post, swap them with another from the same image, and no one would notice. That’s how bland and samey they all looked.

And to add to my original argument about desaturation, I never thought drowning games in **** yellow hues and “realistic lighting” ever looked good. There is a reason why successful titles from that era, like Resident Evil 5 and New Vegas, have mods that remove the urine tint and overdone bloom. They look absolutely phenomenal once that stuff is taken out.

It seems Nvidia may be outright exiting the gaming market in the future, and I say good riddance. They have no business selling their trash GPUs for $2000+, and gayming is so **** it isn't even worth half that. If AMD and Intel play it smart, they can dominate the space and restore some sanity to it.

I'm really enjoying MineCraft more than I expected that I would. I'm not sure if enough people in this site also play MineCraft or similar sandbox games to justify creating a whole new thread for MineCraft though.

If nVidia are smart they'll not exit the market entirely, they must know AI is a big bubble that could burst any moment.

I'm rather ambivalent towards AMD - they've not managed to get their **** together for decades now, and Intel is Intel.

My main problem with such games is the whole "create your own fun" mentality. I like games that give me a concrete objective to work towards. It's why Subnautica is basically one of the few survival games where I didn't bounce off hard.
