I ended up really liking Minthara, even if she is a filthy drow with a smoking voice. She's got a great personality and her story is great. I also like Lae'zel, but her frog-like face is a bit much for me (no pun intended on my origins )

All you need to do to recruit her is simply not kill her. You can activate non-lethal attacks from your passive hotbar to knock her out instead. Later on, you'll run into her again and get the opportunity to recruit her.

Only if Halsin or Wyll survive or make contact with her and both will leave your party anyway if you arent saving the grove. And then you also need to constantly talk to your companions at the camps for the romances to even progress.
