There's this new RTS game that clearly draws most of its inspiration from Command & Conquer. I still haven't found a good store to acquire the game, but it looks very promising. Did any of you play it yet? Is it any good?
We have a Steam curator now. You should be following it. https://store.steampowered.com/curator/44994899-RPGHQ/
Tempest Rising - C&C inspired RTS
I'm trying it out. It's pretty good and has zero pozz.
My brother told me about this on the weekend. We're waiting on D.O.R.F and Dust Front. We might fire up some Iron Harvest or some C&C stuff this weekend for some RTS. I wish RTS's had Tech level/turn off certain units features still. I used to do tech 1 or 2 on old C&C with just infantry and bunkers when I was a kid and just watch the games play out against max CPU opponents for hours.
LBL Season 1: 11-5 - 2026/27 Season 2: Incoming... LBL Board Game vs Little Bro: 4-3... - *** ( Legend Difficulty ) Practicing...... *** < Militum Christi > 25-0 FOR J. WOOOOO BABY.
Finished the GDF campaign today. Funny, this game keeps growing on me. I even abandoned it at some point but then felt bored with what I was playing and came back. The campaign is quite entertaining and competently made, but utterly predictable story-wise. I'm hooked into the game mechanics, however. So much so that I'm waiting on a sale to go on multiplayer. I think this might be a niche alternative to Starcraft 2. Think it has more potential than AoE 4.
Well, Dyn campaign has a little more spice near the end. The big twist isn't really the aliens but like...the ****? Yeah, no ****, Dynasty Dad tells you how the not-**** secretly control the world governments, especially GDF, and tells you all about his purge plan. Frankly, it was surprisingly based. Real letdown is the fact that the final CGI is the same as the GDI campaign. Like, come on, these ******* made CGI for the most inconsequential missions, but ran out of budget when it come time to provide a real ending for a major faction? Lmao.
Anyway, I'm considering purchasing for the multiplayer.

Yeah, I got that from Steam reviews. Wish someone did a comparison to other modern titles, some people argue these draconian clauses became "standard" these days.
Anyway, there's a lot of bitching online about the perceived "unfairness" of the AI, which is hilarious. Devs have confirmed the AI doesn't cheat resources and production, which is massive incline. Instead it tries to bury you with infinite APM and multi-prong harassment. Tbh, I found the AI to be a greedy goblin that tries to be fancy but has no real counter to being punched hard in the face. All my victories came from punishing the AI's senseless greed and later marching into its base with a huge column of tanks, Humvees and drones.
What I'm trying to say is maybe there's some noob tears to be harvested in this game? Especially since the meta isn't 100% "figured out" as is the case of SC2.

Has anyone been playing Tempest Rising?
It's on a discount at the moment.

Do you know if there's been any favorable updates on the anti cheat front? Does it still install spyware on your PC?
