Just a flavor of the month
Says a lot more about players than it does about games. People rant a lot about how big corpo shoves **** down their throats. Maybe big corpo is actually feeding them exactly what they want: ****** fast food whose only excuse for existing is a new artificial spice.

I've been playing a lot but am only at the first quarter of the main quest. Unlocked an achievement that says 14% of Steam players reached there. Reminds me omfg BG3 goty with similar achievement %s past Act 1.

People nowadays vastly are degenerate ******* that can't focus on anything that doesn't stimulate their basic primal senses. Sex, violence, toilet humor. Anything beyond that they are incapable of appreciating.

No mass survey is indicative of any value or lackof in anything. Because those ******* are over 90% of the global population.

Steam player counts are only indicative of what's the latest ****** trend on Twitch.

I never did any guilds in Skyrim, only joined the Stormcloaks, defeated Alduin, and killed Mirak. I probably put 3-400 hrs in it and got 20% completion. I think that's how most people play bethesda games.

I did the complete opposite, looked for all the side quests and joined all the guilds, and pretty much ignored finishing the main quest until I came back to the game years and years later.
Probably 150-200 actual playing hours.

Replaying the Knights of the Nine questline and it remains the most chivalric quest I've seen in any game.

Cyrodill always felt the most "metropolitan" out of all the provinces, it's basically the melting pot of Tamriel. So the population looking like dysgenic goblins is probably par for the course.

Again I would like to remind people using my screenshots for proof the game looks bad that I had to use a modified .ini to put it at even lower graphics settings than the menu even allows on a laptop far below the requirements so of course it's gonna be ****** up.

Too lazy to check how this **** did sales-wise? If it did decently, I wouldn't be surprised if they're already 'remastering' Morrowind - if someone has money to burn on useless projects its Microsoft

Morrowind would take far too much work. They're doing Fallout 3, some guy already teased it.

I couldn't finish playing it because it runs like dogshit and looks like dogshit. Modern western devs are incapable of making good looking games anymore it's just over. Whatever software they are using to make character models and faces is awful and they need to stop. I tolerated the original because it was fun and ran pretty well on my **** computer at the time. I had to download a mod to make it have less textures and it made the game more fun.
I made a mod for CK3:

You mean the warning when launching ? Just press ok and config it well. I run it on an even older i5-6600 no problem but tons of engine.ini edits

A lot people say stuff runs well, but then you actually look at their gameplay and it's 15 fps with dips.

A lot people also say stuff are unplayable and then you realize what they mean is it doesn't run Ultra 300fps in 4k ...

That said game is horribly optimized for sure. Like most post 2020 games really, esp UE ones. BG3 was too and everyone keeps deepthroating it to this day.

It's the DLSS/ray tracing/SSD clutch devs are using now instead of actually optimizing/compressing/shading **** properly. SW:BF2 from 2017 got none of it, looks a ton better and runs smooth on 2014 hardware. Lost trade.

I mean unstable 15-45fps dips at 1080p with everything on the lowest setting and performance DLSS.

Does the game really expect the player to have to go edit game files to make it playable? :notsureif:

Your help is noted, I was clarifying that my issue is with performance, not some warning at launch (don't even recall such a thing). Plenty of games run well even when it warns you your PC is below minimum specs, I expected this to be one such.

I'm hyped for the eventual support OpenMW will have for Oblivion, Skyrim, etc. Getting to play these games natively on Linux, fully stable and with excellent mod support will outshine any slop remaster. This version will be completely forgotten, as it should.

The optimization for BG3 was AWFUL for like the first year or two. I think there was even a memory leak at one point, the game would lag more and more until it locked up and you had to restart. And don't even get me started on the sheer amount of bugs.
