Good, I hate when moving AND attacking is on the same **** button. Using a controller makes it a lot more functional since you can move without attacking or doing anything you didn't intend.

Holdover from Diablo 1/Angband design. Diablo 1 started as a turn-based game and got converted to real-time.

You mean Stunlock who has controller support with Twin-Stick controls and GGG that has WASD/Controller support for POE2?
That wasn't how they started out though. Stunlock and GGG always developed PC first and ported to console later, therefore the controller support is usually wonky. Both made great strides in that regard though, V Rising feels almost native with a controller now.

To improve my magic, I need a new necklaces. To get it, I need power core. To get power core, I only had battery and Radium Alloy to make 10 out of 12 needed. So I got more battery and the Sludge-filled Canister. To get more Sludge-filled Canister, I need to farm 3 more items. Honestly, this game would be exponentially better if I need to RESEARCH and practice to become a better mage, not find a lot of random items...

It's that way by design

The 'treadmill' is well done in that you keep unlocking new things(buildings, recipes, gear, etc.,) to unlock more new things.
I disliked the entire character power being based on items

Yep. I'm just saying that if I could make the RPG mod work, this game would become exponentially better. From a bellow average game to a great game.

I wouldn't say that this game is Forspoken tier BTW. Just bellow average.

This is very by-the-book survival game crap. Most of them have this, and if you don't like it you probably just won't like most survival games.

Personally, I found V Rising rather enjoyable and would play it again. That said I've played on a self-hosted server mostly solo, and have cranked up a bunch of gathering rates and cranked down a bunch of durability settings so that it plays a lot more like an ARPG rather than a survival game. I think it's pretty neat though that you can more or less turn it into an ARPG with building if you really want to.
