So what you are saying is Nightsong really didn't like being impaled by that spear. And adding it to the game was a hate crime.

All women like to be impaled by that spear, any woman who denies that is lying

@SniperChris You could definetely argue that, but the thought someone would actually fall for a mindflayer and thus making the emperor's seduction tactic an option for him is so absurd to me that I just don't buy it being even a possibility without meta reasons. It just feels like all the other cringe romance in the game.

I think some characters that could be changed is the diabolist "Helsik" in Baldur's gate, she's an asian dwarf, and Manip Edenosa as well, asian Rockgnome. Gauntlet Pard, too, he's speaking like some very bri'ish bloke but is black. And last but not least, Eldaernth, this is supposed to be a wood elf, but has a moustache and combed back hair. I mean who designed this at Larian. Is it me or are the "larianic designs" much more ubiquitous in act 3?

reference for the elf

Cazador didn't look as expected. Thought I would fight an ancient evil. Instead I faced an asian twink.

I was going to change Helsik, but I think she's secretly a demon.

Where are Manip Edenosa, Fist Pard, and Eldaernth?

(And yes, the bad designs and the weird sexual hang-ups increase dramatically in Act 3 - you can see the cultural changes that swept the West over the time period of the game's development.)

Helsik is a demon, but still should be a caucasian dwarf imo, there are no asian, or for that matter, black dwarves, why would she be something that doesn't exist, if you get my drift.
And the 3 are in the big park in the city.

Does this mod remove all the Asian and black elves, halfings ,dwarves etc?

It's RIDICULOUS how they use HUMAN sub races as subraces of other races that already have unique subraces.

Best look for the Drow is on this box art:

Just because it is old does not mean it is right.
I think that's just the lighting. You can see how the parts of the drows not illuminated directly by the light are coal black. The parts in the light are just drawn over-lit. It's really just illustrating how it's difficult to illuminate black objects.

ROTFL, I felt this, too.

(Only I said oriental twink, because "Asian" is indeterminate and tells you nothing. As intended by the modern thought police, no doubt. Oriental tells you exactly what you need to know to picture the individual.
Most of the main races of the world can be found in Asia, ffs. Even more if you (correctly, imo) consider the continent to be Eurasia because where exactly do the "two continents" have any real separation?)

Anyway, yeah, seems like you're meeting the cringiest people in Faerun as allies and evil masterminds.
You may as well not bother replying to my posts if it's to argue anything except concrete facts or your personal opinion. I still probably won't see it.
Reject your retarded-wing political programming and learn to think.

Not that I know, yet. I haven't done that many quests in the city for now.
And yeah, I think Cazador needs a new face, if he doesn't have one already.

Pretty sure it was made by the same artist who was also responsible for official ad&d artworks back then. You may not like it but this is how Drow used to look like :eyebrows:.
"This is what peak Drow performance looks like" - sheboon drows.

Peek DnD artwork for me was 2E - 3E window. It's not necessarily accurate but it looks purdy gud.

Amazing. You put a lot of effort in here, and even in the screenshots it's a lot better.

Big thanks to @rusty_shackleford for hosting this as well. Nexus doesn't like mods that interfere with THE MESSAGE, even if they are well-meaning and perfectly benign.

Ok so it seems Cazador Szarr is actually from Kara-Tur meaning "asia", so it actually makes sense for him to be asian, and he is actually not an elf vampire. Vampires just seem to have pointy ears as well if I understand it correctly. So I suppose he could stay the way he is.

This meta of adding random pointy ears to everything needs to die. It's not just vampires, it's all the tieflings, too.

I have tried to find the answer to this question without success- are there any example of human-sized pointy-eared elfs before Spock? I have found some old pictures of **** like santa elfs with pointy ears but no people-sized elfs.

There's debate about whether Tolkien's elves had pointed ears or not, but, there's note in the Annotated Hobbit that suggests they may have.
The Annotated Hobbit, Flies and Spiders (note 6)
"In his notes on the stem LAS[1] from *lasse = 'leaf' and LAS[2] 'listen' (*lasse = 'ear'), Tolkien noted the possible relationship between the two in that Elven "ears were more pointed and leaf-shaped" than human ones."

Is this a Forgotten Realms thing? I don't think it's true generally. Vampires are supposed to be able to blend in, after all.

Vampires having pointed ears comes from Bram Stoker's Dracula:
His face was a strong, a very strong, aquiline, with high bridge of the thin nose and peculiarly arched nostrils, with lofty domed forehead, and hair growing scantily round the temples but profusely elsewhere. His eyebrows were very massive, almost meeting over the nose, and with bushy hair that seemed to curl in its own profusion. The mouth, so far as I could see it under the heavy moustache, was fixed and rather cruel-looking, with peculiarly sharp white teeth. These protruded over the lips, whose remarkable ruddiness showed astonishing vitality in a man of his years. For the rest, his ears were pale, and at the tops extremely pointed. The chin was broad and strong, and the cheeks firm though thin. The general effect was one of extraordinary pallor.
Thank you for your attention to this matter!

The in-game books I saw suggest that the vampire family has human heirs which they turn at adulthood. Also that they have been in power for 500(?) years in Baldur's Gate. Maybe someone more familiar with the Realms can say how likely it is a family from Kara Tur did that at that time (and also avoided race mixing once established).
