I do believe that they went a little bit overboard with the "super-giga-hyper realistic" graphics.

Need some opinions here since this site isnt riddled with downvote bots. While I dont even play these games it looked decent until his girlfriend showed up.

Also weird that youtube dislike stopped working right before this dropped.

The first 30 seconds were okay. Reminded me of my cool uncle. But then the trailer depicted a disgusting game. Ugly streets littered with trash, people walking around in undignified T-shirts, the casual sex, the enormous *** shots, etc.

I like old trilogy not gonna lie so my heart asks me to give Rockstar the benefit of the doubt and assume it's just a bad trailer for modern audience but my brain knows better I'm afraid.

The trailer is good until the woman appears, then it becomes cringe and reddit. At least only a few *******, all disgusting criminals.

I liked the intro and thought that the game would be as good.
Then I kinda liked the worldbuilding for a few days, until it became repetitive.
Also, pron.

The promise of Wild West-like frontier in space. But this is how I see it. I may be wrong cause I never finished any of those games.

For me, what originally caught my eye about Borderlands 2 was a cool cowboy with a robot arm. Unfortunately he wasn't playable, so I played the melee character Krieg. According to Steam, I played for 14 hours before dropping the game. I remember that I just did not find the game to be holistically fun. Gameplay wise, you are being shot at and taking damage before you can enter melee range to whack people, and IIRC healing was difficult. The game was clearly designed for people using guns. And then you open chests with colored glowing randomized Diablo 3 loot that just loses all meaning. None of the environments blew me away. I did not like the thick black cartoony outlines. I did like that you could drive vehicles around and use them in combat. But the constant quipping and "comedy" and overal insincerity as grating.

I never had the chance to play the original on PS3 with friends when it was new. Since then, I’ve just written it off as a forced meme, kind of like how Sony keeps pushing Horizon Zero Dawn as their next big thing. Is 3's multiplayer actually fun though?

This will come as a complete shock to you, I'm sure, but they made him gay.

BL1 wasn't nearly as obnoxious as BL2. I actually played all the way through 1, but had to turn off 2 pretty early when I realized we were going to have some fat cow radioing into my comms every 5 seconds for bad humor.

It is painfully obvious the woman is a stronk independent latina that has the actual pants in the relationship and is the real main character and protagonist.

Judgment was a really great game, I wasn't expecting it to be one of my favorite RGG games but it's up there for sure. How do they make so much kino?

It's cool for card games. Like actual card games like Magic the Gathering. The problem is that is being shoehorned into everything under the sun. Kind of like the dork souls **** like estus, bonfires and such. "Soulslike" is not a genre, its xerox. The genre is ARPG.

Only game with deck building that I enjoyed was Age of Empires III.

BL3 is significantly worse than either. I lasted less than an hour.

I enjoyed the Torg DLC for BL2.

EXPLOSIONS

Someone should make a borderlands game except without """humor"""

More and more games need to have systems like L4D2's "AI Director" that keeps the game fun and exciting. Too many games are boring slogs with 5 mins of nothing happening, 5 minutes of cutscenes and 2 mins of combat.

Not a single interesting character in the whole trailer. 3D models with zero charisma.
I agree. The entire trailer is boring. The game will sell, no doubt about that, and anyone saying otherwise is completely delusional. But I’m not sure it will sell enough to justify its production cost.

As for me, I definitely won’t buy it at full price. Maybe in a few years when it’s around 20 euros or so.

A friend of mine owns an ROG Ally, he doesn't use it much because it takes 3 minutes to even launch a game and there's no quick resume feature like Steam Deck. If Microsoft is unable to implement a feature like that then this **** is dead on arrival.

Hate that stuff. Hate it in racing games, hated it in L4D, hated it in HL2, hated it in Oblivion.

I want to measure myself against a challenge, and improve until I can overcome it.
Scaling and rubberbanding are like a barbell that magically adjusts its own weight so that it's always 'an appropriate challenge' to lift, whether you're a scrawny DYEL or a weathered picker-upper-putter-downer. You can never get an accurate sense of your progression and mastery, because the obstacle you're trying to overcome will lower itself if you suck, or grow taller if you're excelling.
