looks like too much headache would be surprised if more than 1000 people even get this to work or bother.
It does look a little daunting I will admit. The potential seems pretty incredible though. The biggest issue with companions is the lack of reactivity and the fact you're basically at the mercy of ******** mod authors when it comes to modded companions. I would like to be able to generate a companion with detailed lore and reactions to events that's not some titcow fucky fucky coomer mod.
Just get Lucien, it's like playing coop with Finarfin
I've used him before. I was less than impressed.

Archolos is trash.
Archolos kinda left me cold. Gothic 1 and 2 I kept playing and playing but Archolos just didn't manage it.
Of course since it's fetch quest galore.

-"Marvin fetch me some objects"
-"Marvin mop the floor"
-" Marvin kill this guy"
-"Marvin fetch me 10 claws and 10 wolf skins"

For 4 acts straight.

I had enough already at the beginning of act 3. I couldn't continue.

Figures you'd have a problem with having to be straight for 4 acts.

it was pretty good, but getting used to polish dub took a little and you couldnt play as a mage faction sadly

I think it would be nice to have an actually dynamic companion who can acknowledge your character's backstory/roleplays.

I usually dont play with companions. Except for Diablo2 ofc. They always get in the way if I am looting and stealing. But yeah if they were more "alive" maybe worth it.

Any reason to play TES IV remastered over the original TES IV with mods?
Pros:
Crashes less

Cons:
Wrecks the artstyle
Runs like ****
Incompatible with decades of mods
Both changed too much where they shouldn't have, and yet didn't fix anything that should have been fixed

I thought mods would have fixed the crashing issues with the original.

The crashing was the reason I stopped playing it a while back.

Somewhat, best way to fix crashing is to not use any graphical mods so you never hit the memory limit :broken:

I think I'll just play the original then. If anyone that's not red7 would happen to have a recommended list of mods I would very much appreciate it.

Not sure if serious but if so, no need to for me. Just if anyone happens to have a list to hand.

I was serious, I don't think you need a list of mods just some fixes to the level scaling and similar stuff

Leveling was a good fix even if it makes the game easier.
