It would be even more anti-White than Kingdom of Heaven. Hard pass.

We are all imagining not a woke gaytard developer but a Christian developer that is based and redpilled and with high historic accuracy (no ****, redditors or heathens allowed) :knight-cross:

Might as well imagine a video game developed by a minotaur while you're at it.

Just make the Crusade from the perspective of the crusaders, let the players see how the Christian warriors liberated the poor people from the oppression of the mudslimes, and even allow for an alternate good ending where Jerusalem is successfully taken.

Boom, awesome war game.

I think it's set to come out the same year as the Call of Duty game with a sympathetic German campaign.

Well, I'm not sure if this example I will make is a similar equivalence, but there are war videogames about the American Civil War that gives you the option to control the Confederacy, rather than just assuming that you would only want to play as the Union.

This one first came out in 1991:

And this one in 2022:

So if the interest is there, I don't think is impossible that a modern game where the Crusaders are objectively shown as the good guys will ever be made.

Decided to finally replay Fallout 4 and check out the Grounded Commonwealth mod. Made it to the Vault and quit. The story is trash from the beginning, the dialogue system is utter ****.
I hate Bethesda.

I enjoyed FO76 more than FO4, and about as much as FNV. I picked it up for a couple dollars if you can find it on sale.

I convinced a couple people that post here to try it and they liked it well enough. I think @twig still plays. @Bertram_Tung, I think played it prior to me, also still plays?

Pretty fun so far. Also has a unique character creation.
You see a bird flying through and over a battlefield and landing on the window sill of a room in a castle.
You see a woman in her garments holding a baby while the narrator describes her, every time you select a feature (Skin color, hair, hair color and eyes) he continues and you are then put in a basket (Probably to put you in a stream and have someone find you.)

And how is the combat? Still janky? Forgot about their invite-drop stream today, guess. Hopefully, I'll be able to catch their remedial one on the 29th.

iirc the game is still pretty early in development but it feels fine so far. Saw someone say that each Prelude is basically 80% a new game compared to the previous prelude.

TLDR

11 bit cancelled their unannounced game named Project 8 because the market for narrative-driven, story-rich games appeal is weaker.

If you read between lines the problem is that the budget for the game would been not cheap and be serval times higher then there usual line up (AA game). I’m guessing that this story focus game would been some movie slop walk simulator / action game ,so their were smart enough to cut their loses seeing it won’t be profitable when comparing to other games within similar genres .

Perhaps when Disco came out this idea of "narrative" game was novel, hence the commercial success of that particular one.

Disco was small budget game compared to what 11 bit was attempting to do in their project was several times higher in production value, hence why they got cold feet and cancelled it.

To risky for new IP with not high enough profit margins.
